This video got me to try out Arknights and I gotta say that it has blown my expectations out of the water. Like you said, it starts off as a tower defense game that a quadriplegic toddler could win at, but quickly turns into an addicting experience with Civ VI levels of micro-managing. 7:30 this is quite literally why i started watching fate series. Not only did I watch every. single. anime. I also play FGO on a regular basis, I went through all routes in FSN visual novel, and I played through the entirety of FHA. I also memorized almost all servants that ever appeared in the franchise. I can also summarize all holy grail wars, tell you how Chaldea inventions work (yes, I know how shit like laplace, chaldeas or fate work). ALL FOR THE SAKE OF A BETTER JERK OFF. IM NOT ASHAMED OF IT. NOW I KNOW WHY THAT PARTICULAR ANIME GIRL CALLED THIS GUY HER MASTER. I CAN READ ALL THE DIALOGUES IN HER VOICE AND I UNDERSTAND HER PSYCHOLOGICAL BACKGROUND.
Play boring games like international chess or go free. Alternatively go play some pubg like-games, clash royale like-games or even bloons tower defense. They are way better than these run of the mill gacha games.
@@haikygt the problem with fgo is not so much the rates, and most players dont seem to realize this but its about how much premium currency it gives you, around 19 pulls per month, wich is near nothing, if the 5* chance is 1% the average is one every five months, aka two 5* servants and a half every year. And they pump new characters so much more often than that, so you're never gonna have even half the characters as a f2p, let alone all of them, and im not even gonna get into the whole np level. Meanwhile stuff like arknights gives you about 25 rolls per month, and with double the chance it means about one 6* every two months, or six of them every year on average, and you can use your entire base to get more premium currency, altho its not recommended you can do it and it gets you like 10 extra rolls per month. MASSIVE difference. I've seen f2p players who have all the characters, its all about luck but its not out of the realm of possibilities. And arknights isnt even that special, most gacha games are better than fgo in the gacha system aspect. Edit: I forgot to add, arknights also increases the rate of a 6* by 1% every pull after 60 pulls without one, so basically you get one much faster than the normal average.
Funny thing about Summoner's War is the real problem wasn't even the monster rates - it was the drop rates on runes. So many useless attributes that you didn't want on whatever monsters you were trying to gear up - you'd spend weeks or maybe even months farming literally the same stage just to get one great rune. I will never forget the term 'GB10 Team' for as long as I live.
I'd like to add. Gacha is essentially Japan's version of casino's bc of the countries strict gambling laws. And gacha used/uses loopholes to be able to continue (like legally having to show the percent drop rate of each character), and gacha has been rediculiusly popular here in Japan for ages.
Kurobeau Booster packs are also the same thing. People argue that certain boxes guarantee at least 1 card of the highest rarity, but in the end it's no different. Just like how there are variation of booster boxes, there are variations of the gacha.

The sad thing is that by the looks of It, Astolpho wasn't even a rate up servant on that banner. Garnt thought he had a 1.5% chance, but it was closer to 0.05%.
Asolfo WAS on rate-up, but it was a split rate-up with two other SRs, making the odds abysmally low. Normally they rotate the SRs so only one's on rate-up at a time, but this was a pre-campaign so they didn't care.

Getting astolfo was that difficult not just because of your luck, but also because it was triple rate up banner apparently, making your chance A LOT lower

I've been a F2P gacha player for roughly half a decade or so and I only understood why there are people who somehow get offended with people like me for whatever reason after watching this. All throughout that experience, I never experienced the high Garnt felt during his pulls but that's probably because I never felt the stakes were high either. I suppose that feeling will only be experienced for people who actually had to face the odds against them and emerged on top.

I play a bunch of different gacha games, but I've never spent any money on any of them because of how much I can do as a f2p player, which I really appreciate. I don't have as much time to play as I used to, but every time I'm able to go back to one, it's so much fun. And I never really try to get getting specific cards, my goal every time I pull is just for something new, that way I'm always happy with what I get.

@@haikygt the problem with fgo is not so much the rates, and most players dont seem to realize this but its about how much premium currency it gives you, around 19 pulls per month, wich is near nothing, if the 5* chance is 1% the average is one every five months, aka two 5* servants and a half every year.
And they pump new characters so much more often than that, so you're never gonna have even half the characters as a f2p, let alone all of them, and im not even gonna get into the whole np level.
Meanwhile stuff like arknights gives you about 25 rolls per month, and with double the chance it means about one 6* every two months, or six of them every year on average, and you can use your entire base to get more premium currency, altho its not recommended you can do it and it gets you like 10 extra rolls per month. MASSIVE difference. I've seen f2p players who have all the characters, its all about luck but its not out of the realm of possibilities.
And arknights isnt even that special, most gacha games are better than fgo in the gacha system aspect.
Edit: I forgot to add, arknights also increases the rate of a 6* by 1% every pull after 60 pulls without one, so basically you get one much faster than the normal average.
Funny thing about Summoner's War is the real problem wasn't even the monster rates - it was the drop rates on runes.
So many useless attributes that you didn't want on whatever monsters you were trying to gear up - you'd spend weeks or maybe even months farming literally the same stage just to get one great rune.
I will never forget the term 'GB10 Team' for as long as I live.

I'd like to add. Gacha is essentially Japan's version of casino's bc of the countries strict gambling laws. And gacha used/uses loopholes to be able to continue (like legally having to show the percent drop rate of each character), and gacha has been rediculiusly popular here in Japan for ages.
Kurobeau Booster packs are also the same thing. People argue that certain boxes guarantee at least 1 card of the highest rarity, but in the end it's no different. Just like how there are variation of booster boxes, there are variations of the gacha.
Getting your waifu in FGO is way too addicting.

The sad thing is that by the looks of It, Astolpho wasn't even a rate up servant on that banner. Garnt thought he had a 1.5% chance, but it was closer to 0.05%.
Asolfo WAS on rate-up, but it was a split rate-up with two other SRs, making the odds abysmally low. Normally they rotate the SRs so only one's on rate-up at a time, but this was a pre-campaign so they didn't care.

I've been a F2P gacha player for roughly half a decade or so and I only understood why there are people who somehow get offended with people like me for whatever reason after watching this. All throughout that experience, I never experienced the high Garnt felt during his pulls but that's probably because I never felt the stakes were high either. I suppose that feeling will only be experienced for people who actually had to face the odds against them and emerged on top.

I play a bunch of different gacha games, but I've never spent any money on any of them because of how much I can do as a f2p player, which I really appreciate. I don't have as much time to play as I used to, but every time I'm able to go back to one, it's so much fun. And I never really try to get getting specific cards, my goal every time I pull is just for something new, that way I'm always happy with what I get.
