New Tutorial for Louise Cowl Neck Slip Dress SEWING PATTERN 🤗 Here is the link if you want to check it out! www.etsy.com/uk/listing/825816020/louise-slip-cowl-neck-midi-dress-digital
Not sure why but I thought I’d share,, I’m 16 years old and I just wanted to say you have inspired me to make my own clothes in the future. I was considering on sewing my own clothes (for sustainability and ethical reasons) when I move out for university, but your patterns convinced me 100% Even though I won’t be able to sew anything for a while yet, please don’t stop making these videos and selling your patterns; they make me so happy ❤️☺️
You make your tutorials so fun and simple to follow along! Great job!! XXX the dress looks amazing, but then again all your makes look amazing, hoping that one day I will sew just as fabulously as you!
When I made a toile of this pattern I used non stretch mid-heavy weight satin and dress turned out stiff, heavy and cowl neck looked awfut. Slip dresses really look best in lightweight fabric with at least little stretch xx
I'm so glad to hear that and thank you! I bought a set to make hybrid nails 8 years ago and have been doing them ever since. The colour I'm wearing in this video is this one 🤗🤗 www.semilac.co.uk/semilac-uv-hybrid-french-pink-milk-053-7ml
Is this pattern bias cut/cut on the cross? Or cut along the grain? Just wondering how wide my fabric needs to be. 1.5m of fabric isn't a lot when it's a narrow width fabric and things need to be bias cut.
This dress is cut on bias also the satin fabric I'm using has a bit of stretch as this slip dress doesn't have any fastenings. I used fabric that's was 1.5m wide and it all fitted nicely :) Hope that helps
I really love this dress! My mom gifted me some silk and i want to make a slip dress out of it. I’m in love with your model, but I’m a bit bigger, i think im a size EU46, if not 48. it it going to be hard to adjust this sewing pattern? I’m relatively new to sewing, but if i only need to evenly add couple of centimeters all around the pattern, i think i could do it and not mess it up...
Thank you! 😍 The fabric usage will depend on how short you want the dress to be. As a reference for the original length, you'll need 150cm x 150cm of fabric to make this dress.
@@tintofmint I can't find the fabric because the link won't work... What is the name of the satin you used? I thought it might be the duchess one but I'm not too sure
No, that's not the one. I used duchess satin to make a robe tutorial. That fabric is really thick and non stretchy. The fabric I used for this tutorial here is armania. 😊 www.minerva.com/mp/1197122/armania-charmeuse-silky-satin-fabric-aqua&variant=1160731

I love how this tutorial uses a french seam as i don't have a serger and so french seam is my always go to!
Yay! Glad you noticed 🌈🤗
Love that you’re using the french seam instead of overlocking it! ❤️
Glad you noticed ❤️❤️

So beautiful!! I was just thinking about how I could convert your cowl top into a dress. Now I don’t have to!!
Oh that's perfect then ! 🤗🤗
Gorgeous! Thank you for the tutorial :)
You’re welcome 😊
Absolutely love this pattern 😍 the only thing I would do differently is topstitching the straps to avoid them getting too scrunched up
I am making it too, it's so beautiful!
How exciting!! ❤️
This is beautiful 😍 i will give it a try
How exciting! Definitely let me know how yours turns out :)
This is gorgeous and I just bought some fabric that would be perfect for this! 😍❤️
How perfect! 🤗🤗
Wow how gorgeous! What is the little tool you use to turn the straps inside out? It looks so handy!
It's called a loop turner and it's such a time saver ☺️
It's soo beautiful
Yaay so glad you like it ! 💓
Hi i like your dress...Thanks for sharing...
Thank you so much 😊
Here for Aesthetic 🌼♥️
Yesss 💓🔮
Ouuu this is lovely 😍😍
Thank you 🌈💓
im so lazy i would problably overlook it 😬🤯,i love that little dress looks beautiful on you
I would too, but most people here don't have an overlocker machine so I made this dress 100% overlocker free :)
Ok. Definitely going to they this technique. I sewed my entire dress and it was so stiff! 😂. Back to square one. Thanks for this tutorial!

@@tintofmint thank you!
Woww this is amazinggg
Thank YOU ❤️
This is gorgeous!! I’ve always wanted to make my own cowl dress and now I can! What fabric did you use?
What a coincidence then! I used satin and here is the fabric I used 🙂tidd.ly/2RIclu0
Can I add an invisible zip to this dress? The fabric I have is no stretch cotton and I’m afraid I won’t be able to put it on!
You can and you should in that case. Add invisible zip to the side of the dress and I would suggest using a long zipper at least 12 inches ☺️
Can you make one with the sleeve !
I always looks forward to your videos! May I ask what you use on your nails? They look amazing!

Haha I just HAD to click on this... it was calling my name!!
Haha love it! You have such a pretty name 🥺💓

Hi, not at all as you said you'll need to add a couple more cm to the sides and length if you wan :)
beautiful.
Thank you :)
Ficou perfeito Parabéns 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏😙😙😙
Just curious, why didn't you use bias cut?
This dress was cut on bias 😉
@@tintofmint thanks a lot! Also, for the freanch seam, would you suggest doing two seams at 0.5cm each?
Yes, that's right
Hi! What size bra sliders in cm did you use for these straps?
I used 8mm ☺️
What type of material did you use 💕
Satin ☺️
@@tintofmint at the start of your videos can you mention what material you are using 💕
Just a suggestion, but could you make a high waisted shorts pattern?
Already working on one 🤫🤫
Please tell me what's the name of the tiny rod that pull the fabric out 😭😭 been searching for it
It's a loop turner ☺️ costs £1.50 on Amazon
How much fabric would be used for a short length cowl neck dress?
plus I loved how you used french seam here😍
Thank you! 😍 The fabric usage will depend on how short you want the dress to be. As a reference for the original length, you'll need 150cm x 150cm of fabric to make this dress.
is there a way I could add a slit into the back?
You can, you could cut back piece with a CB seam so it's easier to make a slit at the back xx
Where did you get the stick that you used for the strips to turn them around ?
Amazon :)
ما هو نوع القماش ؟ اسمه؟
قماش الساتان
This is so pretty! What fabric did you use for this tutorial?
It's satin and here is the link to the one I used- colour black tidd.ly/2RIclu0

Did you use stretch satin to make this dress?
Yes, this is the fabric I used tidd.ly/39NkOGE xx
Would I be able to make this longer? :)
Sure you can xx
Can you make me this dress in any color and any fabric I want?
No sorry, only digital pattern for this dress is an option xx
did you use an elastic fabric? Theres no other way to get into that dress... And if so, did you use a non elastic stitch on the elastic fabric?
I used fabric with a stretch and also cut the dress on bias. For sewing I used standard needle and basic cotton thread xx
where can i find some nice satin fabric?
This is one I used tidd.ly/39NkOGE . I like to buy satin fabric from them as they have a video almost for every fabic.
@@tintofmint thank you so much!
Would this work if you added drawstring sides to ruche the dress?
Of course :)
Whats a gorgeous dress, what's the fabric you used:)
Thank you ☺️ This is the fabric I used in colour black tidd.ly/2RIclu0
this fabric stretches?
Yes, this is the fabric I used tidd.ly/2RIclu0 xx
