Yes! It totally has a cottegecore vibe!! I was struggling to make a pattern of this dress myself so I'm excited to grab the pattern when I have spending money :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE your tutorial, and as a beginner whos been binge watching so many videos from professionals and verified accounts, THIS VIDEO was the one that made me finally get the patternmaking, it finally clicked thanks to you. now i understand, thank you so much and keep up the good work, sorry my bad english.
Something I haven't been able to find - a midi length dress that I could garden in. Like front square pockets to toss an egg into. enough skirt to gather up in case you forgot your basket . But not in a fabric that punches you in the face with Spring themes.
@@aesyn4533 Sorry I didn't explain that well at all. I mean something like an apron that you can put on over your outfit that has tighter sleeves (sticking your hands into tomato plants or a pea tripod blindly usually ends up with a spider on your arm), it could keep your clothes from getting dirty and have larger pockets to put either veggies or eggs in. or tools if you are doing some trimming. Kind of a protective gardening cover? If that makes more sense?
@@kellyhart4482 hmmm. Maybe you could thrift/sew a dress or a large shirt which has fitted wristbands or a wristband with an elastic so it fits snuggly. And you can add big pockets. Also there are sprays in a fabric stores that will the clothes water resistant? So less chances to dirty your clothes underneath :)
Congratulations on the collection and the move!!. The dress looks sooo cute. Well done. Can you say what types of fabric you recommend to get the best result with the pattern.
Thank you so much 🥰 This is what I wrote in my Etsy listing: I used printed cotton canvas for this pattern (220gsm). Any material can be used honestly depending on the look you want to go for, just make sure it's not see-through. I would recommend a fabric on the thicker side like mine, but I think anything above 180gsm is fine (don't go too heavy).
Hi. Thank for your video of making the pattern on size ( on mannequin). How can I fix the pattern with own measurement, that is not exact like standard size !?
Thank you 🥰 I can try to size my patterns up to a point but I am not educated in plus size - if I may ask, which size would you look out for? I guess I could make up to 3XL ... but I can't guarantee the fit tbh 🙈
@@THISISKACHI thanks for replying! I think a 2xl or 3xl would work great. I’m usually a large or xl in American sizes but I know European sizes run smaller

After a few clicks and seeing your videos- I got the 'I want this' feeling. Think I will sub, you have a nack for capturing beauty.👍
Hi! Yes you can, but it's not included in my pattern. I have a video with these kinda sleeves that you could potentially just swap out: ruclips.net/video/m7qGhllXMBo/видео.html
Wish someone replied to this, because i have no clue either. What i'm seeing online is there's different methods to create ruffles depending on what machine you're using (i don't have an overclocker so trying to find ways to create them without it). With a sewing machine it requires changing stitch length to 5 and lower tension, and then gently pulling threads i think it said.
someone replied in the comments "A ruffling foot isn't necessary, you can make two rows of basting stitches and pull them to gather the material. That's how ruffling/gathering was traditionally done."
Hi! Just to clarify this: use the biggest stitch on your machine and sew over the fabric into the seam allowance twice without bar tacking at end or beginning. Then pull on both of the bobbin threads and the fabric ruffles up 😉
Hey Kachi! I just bought the pattern :D Do i really need a ruffling foot for the cups? Is there any other way you can suggest that I can ruffle the cups to my size. (I'm a complete beginner and this will be my first dress :DD)
Hi! No you don't need one. You can use the method of manual ruffling, so stitch 2 seams into your seam allowance with your widest stitch without back tacking, then pull on the bobbin thread and you are able to ruffle the cups. Make sure to tie a knot in the end so your ruffles stay in place :)
Hey Kachi! I love your videos! I’m new to sewing but I bought the pattern and have the bodice almost finished. I think I made a mistake with my circle skirt but I’m not sure what I did wrong! I did a 2 cm seam allowance all the way around but I think the edge of my bodice is a little wider than the waist… 🤔 I haven’t cut the slit yet because I don’t want to mess that up further if I did!
Yeah, it's because of the slit. It should wider the 2cm that you put in for the slit ☺️ if you don't want the slit, just cut the 2cm off (1cm on each skirt side) and it should fit. 🥰
As it's part of my collection, I am selling the finished piece as of right now but I will be releasing the patterns bit by bit once a new collection is out.
Hey, I love this dress but I'm still really confused about a bunch of things in the process. Mainly: How do I fold my fabric to cut out the skirt? My fabric is standard width and if I want to follow the grain line and have my center front on the fold, there is not enough fabric to achieve even close to the desired length.
Love the dress and watching your creative process :) - I just saw that you‘re from Germany, would you mind sharing where you get your fabrics from (online stores etc.)? I‘m from Hamburg and think it‘s really hard to find nice fabrics for garments here
