Excellent strategy.
You can kill him is 25 minutes. I used Vaan as a knight/Time battlemage and is an attacker/haste user with a bubble belt and Seitengrat. Balthier as an Uhlan/Red Battlemage with bubble belt and Zodiac spear and Penelo with a ribbon and another Seitengrat. I gave every charactet the ability to raise and cura with the espers i gave them. Gambits were set up to heal after 50% health loss and i just hasted and protected as needed fast mode (L1). I didn't even use wither because i had Balrhier in already instead of Basch which has wither lol. 3 characters only.

I went in with a lvl 90 team and just a kick from him was hitting me for 6.5k, don't know if he's scaled to your average party lvl. After you kill all the wyrms unequip vaans weapon and go to mount Bur, then approach the big tent shaped like a wyrms head for a large bonus
I just got a Zodiac Escutcheon from a chest after defeating the Hell Wyrm :)
the Steingrat's really sped it up. I had it down to 1/4 hp and was near the door and opened it on accident. thankfully he didnt restore to full hp when i went back in
I remember killing this thing without preparation and it's about 2 hours. That was good old days
My first try took 3hrs 😊
I just don't think I have the patience tbh. Sitting through one battle for hours just isnt fun to me.
@@jimmylittle9393lmao 11 year old me can agree with you but the thrill of beating it was amazing compared to the tedious 2 hr long fight. 18 yrs later its even better now with speed up opt.
By the middle end I just disabled everyone attacking except vaan. Left ash and bash to heal and buff. Tessa’s is more of nuance than he is help
To add something, use the 4 break techs to make the battle stupidly easy. I had vaan ( knight/bushi )set up with kumba + genji set, bashe ( uhlan/ red mage ) with zodiac spear + strongest armour available and penelo ( time/black mage ) set with scathe.
Main gambits to look afte vaan with petrify/stop and all 3 with a way to revive/heal then use Bravery/faith on team and left them too it with gambits on and with the x4 speed you will be done in no time.
I can say this way works against yiazmat too, just took me 45mins to beat.
Did it on my own without help (took forever but just wanted to see if i could). Now someone tell me what the point was???
Gambit mode : okay boss, just chill and watch me do some magic here.
Used your strategy and worked well, even being like 7 levels lower than you. I did cheese this fight by leaving the room to refresh the party :P
PSA: Judgement is LIGHT element, not dark. That is why in this video most of his team died after every judgement.
Also using breaks makes this fight much, much easier.
What can be stolen from this boss
I don't get how you made this look so easy. I keep getting one shoted all the time. In the beginning of the fight it happens and then I'm good for a couple bars and then it happens again and once I get him below 50% health he just whipes my entire party one after the other with 1 shots. And I'm lvl 80 plus fighting him
How?? Like seriously. I have everything set how you do and I still keep getting my ass kicked by this guy. 3% for death my ass. At 50% health he just unleashes hell for me

Love your videos. I have to say I prefer a strategy of nailing Hell Wyrm with Wither, Shear, Addle, and Expose and then berserking him. His attacks will do negligible damage and you avoid dealing with invert and having to protect against different elements.

This fight wasn't as bad as I was imagining it to be. I did have to leave the arena only once to revive and heal my team and that was towards the end of the fight the boss only had around 4-5 segments left. During the fight I had to remove the genji gloves and put a Fuzzy Miter on Vaan so he didn't get petrified all the time.
Brilliant preparation and overall battle strategy, Fuzz ! You handled this super-boss like the FF legend that you are :-)

just kill hellwyrm without guest member, just make sure to equip genji gloves for high combo, and holy absorbent armor and accessories

I beat this straight up ...brute Force, no special weapons ... Lol 😂 ... Wish I had seen this tho 😂 ... Facts on Excalibur tho - definitely helps.

The King Of Noobs you can buy dark energy, you probably need like 9 dark energy. Speedrunners use Dark Energy on trials.
I think if you sell some stuff, the dark energy appears in the Bazaar. Or just have your Level 99 Zeromus summoner with Nihopaloa use Magic Bubble on Zeromus, use elixir on him andhave him use big bang, then finish the rest of the judges using another Nihopaloa elixir combo and Big Bang or Dark Energy

What about the stages? If you leave the battle through the door you enter and not kill it when you come back below the map is the word stage and a num er. Each time you go in and out it reads stage1, 2, 3, and so on. What do these do? How do they affect the battle or what do they affect in general? Bear in mind im not playing zodiac age. Im playing the first release for ps12.
I think it is just how many times you have left and come back to face him. If you do it quick he should not regenerate health between attempts.
This was one of the bosses I skipped during the ps2 version. Didn't have the patience then...probably still don't haha.

I believe it's just under 180k HP for each one of its 50 health bars. To verify this, simply divide 8,930,711 by 50 and round to the nearest whole number.
Incidentally, it's 178,614.22 points per square

Hey Fuzz! May 2021 , approximately 3 or so years after your FFXII Uploads and man let me say how magnificent they have been. So helpful and it’s making my time through Ivalice so much more enjoyable. Nothing against the vanilla version but TZA/International version is a blast during these “lockdown “ times. Honestly, I think there’s a group of ppl that would be gaming regardless of a whatever is going on globally. Thanks again dude! ✌🏼

+FuzzfingerGaming I have a question: I can't unlock some slots outside the licence chessboard and I wonder why, did I do something wrong? Is there a way to reset all abilities and have my LPs back in order to distribute them again?
Munakata Reishi you cant get everything outside the main board on each character because they are unlocked via espers, which you can only give to one character. I.e if you give chuchulain to vaan everyone else automatically loses what they could have got from chuchulain
This boss was so god damn easy, holy shit. I honestly just sat there barely paying attention the whole fight.
This stratagey worked very well basch was my tank and berserk bravery and excalibur and he was hitting for like 60k per hit insane.

Curaja is an party wide type heal it bounces off everyone, if you attemp to use Curaja on your party it will also heal the tank with reverse enabled (like Vaan in this video), the reverse will cause the heal to do damage instead of heal and you'll kill your tank. Curaga is a direct heal it only heals 1 party member, a tank with decoy/reverse on them shouldn't need healing spells cast on them.
Tbh I like manual healing in big battles. Gambits for exploring and stuff.
