Interesting. I don't actually know the solution for this. Every monitor that I've ever plugged in automatically gave me the proper resolution option. Sorry for not being able to help.
This video is not 4k because I had to use a different Screen Recorder to record my screen while showing what to do in OBS studio...once you start recording you can't adjust settings...so I needed a second Screen Recorder to record those parts.

I don't get it, my monitor can display 4k but my display capture can only do 1920x1080 🤔
