Watched this because my video had artifacts all over the place! Messed with the settings and still had artifacting. Then I realized that what he said wasn't 4000 for the bitrate, but 40,000. Whoops. But messing with the settings is mandatory like he suggested. It allows you to grasp a better concept of the program and what works best for you.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Hope it all worked out for you.
No but I will try that. There has been an update since I did the video, I might try .mkv again; but the mp4 is still working great.
Great video... My LG CX never gets dim. Thats odd
You can turn some of those things off in the menu system. I left mine on. Doesn't affect me while gaming, unless I pause and take a break. But as soon as I interact with the mouse, it brightens quickly.
Have you dabbled with CQP instead of CBR and if so what did you think?
I am going to do more testing with the latest update. I will give CQP another try.
@@tadragracer1947 any updates?
Can i record ps5 gameplay in 4k in this case ..
Ps5 linked to 4k monitor
Pc linked to full hd monitor
Can i record my ps5 in 4k using obs ?!
To my knowledge, no. But, you should be able to record 4k video on your PS5, then edit the file on your PC. You then should be able to upload the video to RUclips from the file on your PC.
I haven’t tried it on my PS5, but I have done that from my Xbox. I believe the PS5 has the same capabilities.
On the Xbox, I can set it to record gameplay on a 3.1 USB flash drive. I bought like a 256 GB flash drive to record the game play, all at 4k. The Xbox makes an MP4 video on the thumb drive. I then just remove it, plug it into my PC, and transfer the file to my hard drive. I can then do the same things I do to a file recoded in OBS.
I haven’t tried it on my PS5, but will look into it.
5:10 Bitrate needs to match the fps you're recording in so 60 fps so it should be set to 60000, not 40000 and also your Max B-frames needs to be set to 1 not 2
Thanks Chloe, I appreciate the information and will change those settings. I appreciate you sharing that information with us.
Can you do higher than 60000 fps or that doesn't work?
yes, 60fps is 60000 and 120fps is 120000
Bitrate equals quality and size of a file...
Why it needs to match FPS ?
i think its because in 120fps contains more frames than 60fps so the file is larger@@Need4FPS
.mkv works great again
