Ran it down our local track once and got booted 🤣 fastest little truck I've ever experienced. He daily drove it to work on slicks. Touched 158mph quarter mile in town on our business route main drag in between stop lights. This was prolly 2014. It's currently collecting dust halfway through a back half conversion.

But after all the work he had put into it, he showed me a time slip from the track. 10.3 @ 117 mph. The car weighed 2300 lbs without driver.
i like how everyone is here telling us what who shoulda done. well lets see you do better? s10 is hard to get a good hook but i have a blazer that does just fine no fancy add ons . and a much better motor. it smokes the 392 no prob and i am pretty surprised to see the s10 lose to it but i have zero interest in ls motors because they just dont deliver.
Ls don’t deliver ? Name another motor you can build for the same price with the same out put ?the ls platform is the best thing going for simplicity and budget . And if you want to go real fast the only way to go is old school hemi based Engines .
@@racingjunk7024 bebe grab ur blankie and your sippi cup. im gonna tell you a story and give you kiss kiss. first your name already describes everything your asking me to so prepare to hear what everyone else tells you too. its why your here to think your picking on me? yes? ive been playing with motors since i was 10. we all have our preference thats ok bebe *kiss* were allowed to prefer something. its why there are so many different variations of cars trucks motorcycles. but for things i prefer the ls is a waste of time. responding to your comment also should be. but bebe im just here to help *kiss* i told you id kiss kiss you just had to wait for both. now time for nite nite bebe. you get all cranky if you listen to too many of my bedtime stories. they come from germany and everybody always loses in those. when i build my motors i build for reliability cost effectiveness and ease of use. a car that runs and runs well will outrun an ls any day i can show you. it can outrun the trash new corvette. bad enough that i had to ask the poor man did you forget to hit the gas? my current daily driver has a small block in it. rebuilt and built by me. its a roller motor so its not the old crap ones either. i also like torque and down low and ls isnt good for that without completely redesigning it. ls is built to rev and make power in mid range. my motor makes torque down low then hp up high with a smooth transition to always more power. its a very fun ride. its also why i can get 35mpg and every ls owner tells me thats impossible. yes it is for you. stock you have 3000-3500 rpm stall convertor mins is 1650rpm stall. if you dont need to turn rpms you can turn the tires alot easier. and cheaper too. just remember my motor was actually made in america cant and assembled. your pos ls motor guess what its either cast in china or from cast iron from china sent to mexico. then cast in mexico and built there. almost all of the parts came from over seas too. so you cant even merca at me. your block says made in china or mexico. we are not the same.

Building me a Gen 3 6.0L LS for my Sonoma. Will be NA at first, then FAI after. Gonna have a sequential 6 spd. If that don’t pan out… maybe a 6L90

Get some suspension mods and up the power numbers a bit and you would have smoked that Scat pack
