Why does it happen so often? Is it just a thing that happens with whatever type injector he's using?
Those atomiser injectors are known for it.

I don't know, but with the amount of times it has gone down with a stuck injector, I'd be looking for something more reliable.

Showing this much content and support for a friend racing with a build beyond the norm is fucking awesome. I would suspect a 4.8L build for being a long high rev build, not a street level race build. Placing this build in an S10 Blazer, or even just an S10 hits closer to home as those are my favorite builds I want to achieve a finish with on my own.

I think everyone likes the blazer because it’s such a doable project which makes it so much more relatable to your average person. Granted, the rear end and trans cost more than the entire car altogether, but it’s so cool seeing it run normal time slips. Watching these videos of y’all running 7s and 8s constantly almost makes seeing a 10 second pass boring. It’s just refreshing to see average vehicles run average times. Really love it!

We had a 454 with a blower that on paper should have ran a consistent 7 and between suspension, transmission, cooling, rear end, it took us years to get the consistency. Just because it's got the motor doesn't mean all the components are going to do it right every time, you gotta tweak it. Look at it like coding, you fix one small thing and five more show up.

does anyone build the 4.8 or do they just get a 5.3 or 6.0 or whatever? never really heard of a 4.8 racecar
@@dustyc324 4.8 motors are good for boost because of the thick cylinder walls, but the extra displacement of a 5.3 usually means needing less boost anyway to make comparable power. If you're doing junkyard motors, a 4.8 will definitely be considered, but if you're buying fbrand new rom Texas Speed or something like that people rarely go for smaller displacement.
@@TheZumiezNation yeah, the v8 world is all about displacement. they have about the same Rev limits and curve. Rocky needs a bullet proof lower and a little boost. lots of juice. and some suspension love. low tens? I say runt the smaller displacement 4.8 and crank it way way up.
Watching George is super fun! All the joy he brings makes me want to jump and cheer. The whole team is a blast!
Ok, I've got to be perfectly honest. I used to watch FasterProms very rarely, because I couldn't stand George, among other things as well. But, the move to Cleetus's channel was what he needed. This channel wouldn't be the same now without George. I love how Cleetus let's George shine. I think he was held back on Fasterproms and he compensated for it by being obnoxious. But, he definitely has won me over being on Cleetus's channel. A great addition to the team for sure.
I really like George content. He's right on the money about growing up in the late eighties: eleven second street cars were RARE. If you had something you could drive to the track and run a high ten, you were top of the heap fer sure.
