What's fascinating is how their actions show how Chuck sees Jimmy - assuming he would sneak in under cover of darkness to steal the tape like a conniving thief, instead of coming over to confront him in person in an outburst because he's genuinely hurt
Also how Jimmy will do illegal things for moral reasons (like signing the Sandpiper residents), but Chuck will do very immoral things (Creating an elaborate con that involves manipulating Howard and Ernie and his brother, who he knew would admit everything because he loves Chuck enough) that is all within the bounds of legality.
@@goblintwo uhh jimmy also does immoral things for immoral reasons. case in point, forgery, bribery, gaslighting, because "my girlfriend lost her client"
One of my favorite lines is when Jimmy asks Francesca about the wall mural and she says, "I think you're a little crooked" and Jimmy says "Yeah…a little crooked."
The reveals in this show are absolutely legendary. They've been building up to this episode for almost 2 seasons. It all ties back to Varga. Amazing writing!!!
Love the little details in this episode, like at 13:43 how Gus recovers the red basket from the trash! Jimmy throwing it away bothered me too when watching the first time! Another fun detail at 24:55, as Chuck is saying that Jimmy will probably sneak in at night, you can hear Jimmy's car screeching in the background.
Yup. GREAT episode, indeed. You two looking at each other @ 24:50 after Chuck revealing he's setting up Jimmy for the break-in is priceless. Laughed my ass off. Beautiful. Rock on...
I still remember the first time i watched this episode and i was in shock when i saw the pollos hermonos sign. Like, i knew gus was coming but it was still insane for me haha
Airing live was unfortunate because AMC advertised the hell out of Gus being back before the season started to get viewers so it didn't get to be a surprise for anyone
I was surprised last episode when Kailyn noticed that Chuck seemed "pleased with himself" after his conversation with Ernie, but didn't seem to realize _why_ .
I have watched dozens of reactions to 'Better Call Saul' and you two are the first I have so far seen who managed to call it at least one episode in advance -- that Mike was trailing Gus's men. 👍
It's sad that you don't have more views, but don't ever think it's because you're not good or sth, because you are very good and entertaining and you also pay attention to important details. I'm so glad you started watching BCS after BB greetings from Estonia!
Yeah it's funny how people don't recognize her when she's "younger", is wearing formal work clothes, and still has some flicker of life behind her eyes 😆
Mike's situation reminds me of Breaking Bad episode 3x02 where Gus stops the twins from killing Walt and they don't even question how he found that out.
I will say, when i watched this show while airing, i didnt think it was obvious that gus would feature. the timelines were unclear, and the show was about saul. it could have ended before mike ever met gus. when this was revealed naturally it was so awesome
3.19 for a meal, man the good ol days, and Im Canadian, so that's like 5 bucks. Anyway, nice seeing Gus again. Gosh the look on your faces at the end, especially Kailyn's face, great reaction, so chrome
A lot of details get overlooked by people when they watch BCS. Like A LOT! Here are some for this episode: - Jimmy and Kim's logo looks a lot like two "W's", which is foreshadowing for Walter White. Jimmy mentions that their logo looks like a market crash. It's foreshadowing the impact that WW will have on Saul's life in the end. It's almost like a lifeline flattening out. - Franscesca's personality is upbeat, positive, and jovial. Nothing like she is in Breaking Bad. Why is that? They obviously had the actress play her role differently for a reason. - On Mike's side of the story, there's a lot of symbolic imagery foreshadowing what awaits him in the future. You have the long, empty road laying ahead of him with the yellow/golden coloring everywhere (it's a recurrent color in the Breaking Bad universe when they want to symbolize crime, money, etc.), and the focus on the yellow lines in the middle of the road. These have been used before in the last shot of BCS S1 finale with Jimmy. They symbolize the line between good and evil, between law and crime, that both Mike and Jimmy walk dangerously. When Mike gets out of his car, he is on the right side, but Gus' men put the phone right in the middle of those lines. He's so close to crossing over! - Still with Mike, when we get the Los Pollos reveal, there are two road signs clearly in view, "Speed hump ahead" and "Dead end". I'll let you guess what these are foreshadowing. Just keep in mind that there are more and more elements like that in this show, that eerily foreshadow the future of these characters. It's awesome when you manage to spot them. Anyway, good reaction! 🙂

It's funn how Saul says he has Mike's bad and he said i will keep that in mind and then in breaking bad he threatens to break his legs and leave him in a ditch in the desert lol
I knew you 2 would love this show based on how y'all analyzed BB. So so many chess pieces moving around during this show. Chuck just put Jimmy's King in check.😂
Gus didn't know he was being watched by Jimmy, when he paused to sweep beside the delivery guy, he was sweeping the money into his garbage tray. Jimmy just didn't realize that the exchange went down right in front of him. (my theory, anyway)
If the fast food in Albuquerque New Mexico, is that an expensive. I’m moving there. This is supposed to be the early 2000s though I think. Or late 90s. Something to that effect.
Yeah, it's reading too much into it that Howard staged a fake conversation while knowing that Jimmy was pulling up. He just always sounds a little stiff, especially when trying change Chuck's mind about something.

It's a completely justified way of viewing Jimmy, because that's how he tampered with the documents.
Yeah, making excuses for Jimmy says more about you guys than it does Chuck.
