Explanation is: 0) We a deck with 4 "chosen and flipped" cards inside 1) Split the deck in 2 decks 2) Flip one of the 2 decks 3) Let's call "RED" the cards in the deck we flipped, "BLUE" the cards in the deck we didn't flip, 4) Alternatively merge the 2 decks: now all RED and BLUE cards alternate in the deck (all even cards are RED and all odd cards are BLUE, or viceversa) 5) All the operations in the middle actually change nothing: flipping a pair of cards together will also switch their order, so the RED/even card become BLUE/odd and the BLUE/odd card become RED/even (or viceversa if all RED are odd and all BLUE are even), so in the end this step has no actual effect. 6) The "poker" phase create 4 decks where RED cards face opposite direction and BLUE cards face opposite direction, so merging the opposite decks will actually merge all RED cards together and all BLUE cards together. 7) We are now in the same exact situation as 3): one deck with all RED cards, one deck with all BLUE cards. 8) At this point, flipping any deck is irrelevant: in the end, all cards will realign to the same side they had at 0) Note: when the deck is merged, the spectator is allowed to CUT the deck (but not shuffle it), because cutting the deck will keep the RED/BLUE alternate order (maybe even may become odd and viceversa, but the 2 colors will still alternate in the deck, so nothing actually change)
This self working trick is fantastic !!! It could be easly performed as a révelation after many tricks with slight of hand, such as Triumph 4 cards as an incredible ending. Thank you for this beautiful trick. Have you a reference of the author ?
Right, you can jump right into your favourite Triumph routine after this trick. I usually go with Deadline by Yannick Barth after this trick. It involves a bit of sleight-of-hand but well worth the reaction. Also, I'm not sure where I came across this trick for the 1st time as it's been a long time but my guess would be Ultimate Self-working Card Tricks (don't remember the volume). Thanks for your comment! ❤️
This is a really good trick my friend it almost seems impossible after all of the mixing and shuffling it is truly strange how that works out LOL but I enjoyed it take care of yourself and I'll catch you on your next video your friend Billy Simmons
Nice trick. Obviously, the splitting into 4 piles then combining across from each other is the key to putting the deck back together. It's just undoing the previous setup of flipping cards. But it's hidden in all the pseudo choices given.
Exactly, it just adds another layer of deception. That's why I love self-working tricks, some steps aren't even necessary for the effect, they just add to the deceptiveness.
