I think the better message is don't get drunk. If you don't get drunk, you will be more likely to make better choices and you have to depend on people to take care of you.
I walked away drunk in college alone plenty of times. Who knows what could have happened depending on the circumstances. It's human nature for people to not consider the worst. Obviously if he was stumbling every 5 feet and falling then it would have been more obvious for someone to see him to the hotel. On my 21st birthday I had to literally be carried out because I couldnt go. But other times if I could walk noone really was too concerned and wasn't predicting I'd be dead.

And what did HE do for his friends? He was completely blackout drunk. he wasn't concerned with any of them was he? NO. he was selfish, inconsiderate and now they all have to live with it.
The establishment is responsible. Let's face it. And not ignore it. And not make excuses. The Establishment is responsible. You know recently they've made a big to do about parents being responsible for the gun violence. The court system wants to blame the parents for knowing that their kid needed help and they didn't give them help. Well how about this establishment? Isn't this the same situation kind of? That boy was there thinking he was in a place where he was safe with friends. The establishment takes him out! Knowing full well they could have done something to help him. Like make sure they had a cab come the boy would have paid for it and the cab could have taken him to his hotel safely. That's what a parent would do. And since the courts have declared that knowing someone needs help and you dont give any help at all to them, that now its YOUR fault! Then SO BE IT for this establishment that Rylie walked into and was to his knowedge - going to be in "safely"! And they took him out ! And gave him no care! Take them to court ! It's the same deal as the courts are doing to the parents ! The same! It was the establishment's Bad! And they will hold their customer's blood on their handsforever!
Nobody can blame his friends. It's not right to do that. They're probably feeling guilty enough. And this isn't the time to put blame. This is the time to come together and be there 4 One another, my heart breaks for them. I know everybody feels that way about their friends. I said it to, but it's not right. My heart and it's like to lose kids and I know what it's like for people to put the blame on you. What's something that you can't control? God called him home for a reason, I feel like something was coming up in that young man's life that God did not want to put him through and that's why he called him home. That's just my opinion trusting God. He'll lead you through this. I promise you. I lost 3 kids at different times and not at their hands. And they weren't bad kids. One was 8 was twenty three and one was twenty five❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
sorry for your loss, I do understand how you are looking at this. I trust God and I believe things happen for a reason good or bad. We're not to question but just have faith and trust God give our lives to Jesus
If a person is going out to consume alcohol, they need to drink responsibly. The problem is that everywhere you go there is alcohol. College kids think they cannot have a good time unless they are consuming large amounts of alcohol. I wish that attitude would change but with alcohol being legal, these tragedies will continue.
I got drunk I got in my car I wrecked my car and was ejected and broke my neck ..... I MADE BAD CHOICES AND I ALONE AM TO BLAME. NOT MY FRIEND WHO WAS WITH ME
I hope young people can see by this that sometimes people you party with are not real friends, they are just people you party with.

Yeah and that's the only thing that truly makes no sense. He sounds so lucid in that vid and supposedly it's after he ran into that pole and laid on the ground. Some people can snap out of a drunk for a moment if faced by a cop, I have myself, but it's still just odd to watch that. RIP Riley....MIZ
Condolences to Rileys family.
God bless you Riley. Fly high sweet boy. Peace and comfort for his family. Young people always always help one another, help get them safe. Bars serving liquor, seeing people so intoxicated…..help them.
🙏 Glad he was found. His family may be able to learn more from the autopsy and can give him a proper burial. They may never feel closure, but at least they can somewhat move forward by being able to visit him at his future resting place. RIP 🕊 Riley

His "friends" failed him, the people at the bar who let him leave on his own failed him. This should never have happened. This could've easily been avoided!
He also walked off says some sources
The only one who failed was him. Yes, don't get plastered.
But most of all he failed himself
You keep blaming people around him but at the end of the day it was him who chose to get wasted. This is why the Bible warns against getting drunk
If youre going to go out to drink you need to know your limits, have a plan, and have good friends. He had none of those. Even if it's morally right for a Bar to look after a drunk you cannot just trust others with your safety. It doesn't work like that because we are all responsible for ourselves.
This is the saddest thing. Everyone let this young man down....my heart goes out to his loved ones.
So very heartbreaking 💔 Rip Riley ❤ You were loved by so many!

Prayers for the family.
My sincere condolences to Riley’s family! I’m so sorry for your tragic loss of Riley! May God comfort you at this very difficult time! 😢😢
What loser friends he had that did nothing for him . Instead of caring about their friend life they kept drinking .
He didn't care about himself not to get so intoxicated he couldn't safely navigate in an unfamiliar city.
With """friends""" like these who needs enemies? The comments before me were right. These frat body were useless.
He got himself drunk. He is responsible for what happened.
@@GradKatwe don’t know that. Dude is 6’7” and in a frat. He’s not the type that starts stumbling around alone after one or 4 drinks. There is more to this story. Drugs, roofies, etc.
And what did HE do for his friends? He was completely blackout drunk. he wasn't concerned with any of them was he? NO. he was selfish, inconsiderate and now they all have to live with it.
How sad. God bless Riley Strain’s family. 🥲💔
So sorry for the horrific and tragic loss this family is going through
🙏🙏🙏
Oh I’m so sad for his family.
So sorry 😢 what a beautiful young man praying comfort for his sweet caring parents and family
So tragic. Prayers for friends and family.
I believe this boy was drugged and that it happens a lot in this city
😂
Prayers for the family. Heartbreaking to loose a child.
Such a sad sad ending! Praying for his family!🙏🏼❤
so sad I’m glad he was found.
Prayers for his family ❤🙏😔 My heart goes out to his Momma especially 💔
Praying for the family and all that knew Riley Strain❤❤❤
