Since Mr. Strain was from another State than where his
      disappearance was reported, the FBI
      automatically should have investigated.
Again, he was a victim of the illegitimate reserved powers to the people unrespectively to
      compromise
enumerated rights- of which it seems
he was conscious to decline to get help
      from the two jail
deputies who saw him sitting by the
Parkway bridge trying to put back on his shirt, after somebody accosted him near the sign
      before the underpass.

I'm a retired Trauma/ER RN. I'm wondering how he has no signs of trauma after falling on a rocky river bank or hitting the water at a high rate of speed. I understand officials are saying no GSW, stabbing, etc, but his poor body must've taken a beating falling into that river 😢😢. I grew up near rivers, those currents are treacherous as are the banks. I'm so very sad poor Riley was shown on those videos as impaired as he was. What a heartbreaking picture for his family to endure. So sad and completely preventable. I went to college near the Red River of the North in ND, we knew as students never go near it, those currents are deadly. 🙏 and heartbroken 💔 for his family and friends. I was in a Sorority and knew Frat guys...we partied like crazy but knew our boundaries...still to this day I don't believe anyone fell into that scary river. Bless Riley and his family ❤️

According to the Cleveland Clinic, "dry drowning" has occurred in only 10%-15% of drownings, and is "acutely rare." According to Cedars Sinai, "Risk of death from this type of submersion injury in the absence of loss of consciousness at the scene would be exceedingly low compared with death from an actual, real-time drowning." And this is very interesting per dry-drowning... according to the New England Journal of Medicine, "In most people, the laryngospasm relaxes sometime after unconsciousness due to hypoxia in the larynx, and water can then enter the lungs, causing a 'wet drowning.' However, about 7-10% of people maintain this seal until cardiac arrest." So after 2 weeks in the river, had he dry-drowned, water would have still entered his lungs, or he would have had a heart attack right after he went in. His autopsy showed no cardiac arrest, as far as we've been told thus far. I don't think youtube allows source links in comments, but all this can be found here online. And according to folks who work in those Nashville bars, the bars have become a clown-show, and the surrounding area at night is a dangerous sh$t-show.

Did they study the bugs? Do we actually know he was in the water for 2 weeks? And also someone with a belt on and cowboy boots it's very weird that they're saying both of those things are easy to get off. A shirt would have come off a lot easier than some cowboy boots they're not just slip on cowboy boots. Cowboy boots are difficult to get on and to get off. Also they probably don't know about the belt because they packed up his belongings from the hotel and so who could say if he was wearing one or not. Have they tested by actual microscopic slides to see how long he was decomposing? And this lady has the definition of dry drowning all wrong. So basically she's saying his throat may have spasmed for 5 to 7 minutes and he suffocated in the water but didn't take one gulp of water into his lungs. That's not even possible. I AGREE will getting another autopsy. If the city conducted the search like they did the autopsy then yes ma'am I would get another one done. I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED that this lady describes a literal term with a definition in some kind of crazy way. Wow. I'm literally stunned. And yes I work in the death industry. Where are the FBI. A young educated man does not have this happen simply. No. He was set up. Or something. Big money in town . Why was his debit out of his wallet. Cell phone calls and messages can be retrieved with out the phone from the provider. Their must be cameras along the river or traffic cameras or parked cars have dash cams some 24 hours activated by movement. Every building on the roof or private Patios and balconies in my city and out apartment windows all may have camera footage. Knock on doors. Walk every inch but too why so long to check the barge and other river docks and boats. Boats have cameras too fir security. This doesn't add up. The river must be busy. Time for an independent legal team which it sounds the family now has. Maybe those that searched can set up a go fund me for the family to help them deal with the expenses. They need to have drivers in the area where he was found and search for his clothes, belt, boots, & wallet. What about socks? Was he wearing his socks? This case is so odd! There were witnesses that saw Riley that night walking. Why are they NOT talking about what they saw & witnessed that night. People are so evil and cruel smh!! I have a feeling that Riley's family will never get the real truth about what happened to their son that night in Nashville bc homeless people don't want to be seen on camera and they are scared of being the next victim of crime imp. Police really needs to do their jobs and get bk on the river and start talking to the homeless camps who saw Riley that night and the ones who live in that area. There's dogs in the area down the hill and they didn't bark?! U don't hear them on the police footage from the officer. There was someone running away from the bridge where Riley fell in the cvc footage also and there was a red truck broken into also around the same time Riley was seen on the two hour camera footage released by a RUclipsr. There were at least 3 cops that went passed those cameras in that area. After this story aired and seeing how police are currently handling this case I wouldn't want my family members nor friends visiting Nashville! I think RUclips has helped this family with some answers than police. We want answers and we want to see someone arrested that was involved. They took FULL advantage of Riley instead of getting him help. I believe he was robbed by gun point and then pushed off the embankment. Why didn't the officer walk over and see what was going on when someone yells oh he is just drunk. Wth! You get them help. Not brush it off like its nothing. Smh!! We think we know why Riley was in that area, he was losted and probably used google maps to get him to the hotel but it took him to the wrong tempo that was being built instead of the other hotel. Which we believe 🤔...It does make sense. We gotta look at the big picture and look at what we do know & where he was found. We gotta find his phone. The app Find my phone 📱 should tell us where his phone is even if its off. My phone has this setting and he has the new iPhone 14/15. He should have the setting as well thats if he has it setup. It was the first few things I did after switching over my stuff like all photos and contacts to my new phone. Technology is amazing nowadays. There's camera's everywhere and someone is always recording the smallest things especially crime being committed on the streets from their hotel, apartments and vehicles. Someone knows what happened to Riley that night. They should have a camera under both bridges and every bridge that has water close by and that area is dangerous too! I smell a big lawsuit against Nashville police department for NOT keeping teens/ visitors safe!

I would think sailing in the lower current would have left plenty of marks on him. He was a bit drunk, I don’t see a drunk person holding their breath. He was intoxicated a bit, but I don’t think he dumb and stumbled into the river. I think when he passed the cop he was having a nervous conversation . After all he just got kicked out of a bar. It saddens me cause the family needs more answers. Where is Rliey Strains pants, boots, and wallet? Nobody has mentioned anything about it.

I find it odd that they searched the river initially with a 14 miles stretch. How could it be that within the 14 mile area, he suddenly is within the search area they covered in plain sight where someone who wasn't searching could easily spot him. However I say this with no understanding of how the body and water interact over particular periods of time.

My theory is he fell in the river, then removed his cowboy boots and pants, which contained his wallet, to swim better...I remember being taught this as a kid at summer camp, basic water survival. Then became trapped in river debris, or otherwise unable to get out and died from hypothermia.

You can't tell me the cops don't have cameras fir that homeless area and all along the river. Boats have security cameras. What vessels were in the area. Must have police boats or whatever the US calls the water rescue etc. Alleged. This was an educated smart young man. He was impaired by something beyond his control or knowledge alleged. Doesn't add up. I'm glad Brian is covering this. He was exceptional on the Gabby Petito (spelling) case. With respect to both families. A go fund me needs to be set up to help this family out. They are in shock and need top lawyers. They need to stay in the area if anyone can help them. I can't imagine their grief but too, trying to get answers and justice. It's too much alone. I'm sorry I can't help. My heart goes out to them. My sincere condolences.

My most sincere sympathy to his family! My son went to the same college and drown. The young man that was with him died a year and 12 days later. If I had it all to do over an autopsy would have been more than appropriate! Just because there was no water in Riley's lungs doesn't mean he didn't inhale or ingest a substance. Few people would be staggering to that degree on one drink. I've read my Son's journal and he wrote about being given "tranquility".

Riley's death was a PR Nightmare for Nashville. They had opportunity to rule it an accident and shove that book closed... and they took it. Im not one bit surprised based off what I've seen historically from the TBI and the manner in which NMPD handled Riley's case from jump. @chrisp3011 Had vehicles with windows broken out. Stereos were taken. Left my car open in my driveway and someone rifled through the glove box. Packages and mail have been stolen. An individual broke into my house where I was living with a guy at the time, who was working a graveyard shift, went through my purse on the couch, and took a key chain that had a San dollar dipped in gold. Laying there in the dark, heard the front door slam and wondered why my boyfriend was leaving. Had a mannequin in hallway next to the bedroom, and we think it scared him off. Knew I was there because of my purse and had cut a screen, then climbed through the window. The mannequin, given to me by a flamboyant couple, probably saved my life. One birthday, an ex and I met some friends downtown, the boyfriend parked in front of the capital bldg. Brand new Honda Passport, left there overnight, we cabbed it home, no drinking and driving! It was stolen and recovered days later. Got it out of impound, which racked up a hefty bill, and was considered totaled. The car had been destroyed, inside and out. Driving home late one night and someone rear ended me , pushing my car into a 711 parking lot. It was a hit and run. Never found out who was responsible, totaled my car. Had my purse snatched off my shoulder in broad daylight in front of market. Lost $ 300 in cash and all the contents in my beautiful hand tooled leather purse, which was vintage. Twice had my wallet stolen at work. Had a rapist try to break into my apartment one night, my girlfriend was over with her dog, and he growled and lunged at the screen door. Could see him from my upstairs apartment , going through my friend’s car. Had a huge head of gray/white hair. A woman was raped a couple of blocks over and described his hair as exactly what I had seen. A few days later was called into the police station, to talk with crime/ rape investigators. There’s a few more, but my PTSD is reacting!
