I quit Tarkov 2 years ago, it was a great game but after a few of the players showed how easy it was to hack and buy cheats some of my questionable deaths became less questionable, and I simply can't be bothered putting time in a game where people will just cheat and steal all your gear you've worked a long time for. I seriously loved the game, but the devs refusing to work out a proper anti-cheat system killed it for me

But that’s just my opinion) and when asked about it Nikita said it would take at least 6 months which I’m sure is bs because he started mumbling and then said because they need a place to store the clips but 😮even if it was only the last two games u could watch before they got deleted unless u saved it. That small change would be huge and I’m sure everyone who gets suspiciously clapped would watch the last game just to see

You are right.. I haven't quit. However, I did upgrade from EoD to SPTarkov. Since then, I have not had a single cheater in my games and tons of DLC for free!
I never bought EoD because I was afraid the game would stop developing before a single DLC came out, or I’d be playing something else by the time they actually did release anything. However SPT lets me play as if I had EoD for my $45 initial purchase and I’ve been very happy with that.

That's crazy so many people saying this - i'm one of them too. Wonder if for some of us, we wanted to quit, but just couldn't and the wiggle video gave us the final reason to just walk away.
A year pior to this vid another one has made something similar and after that i adapted to wiggle at every sound. It was absolutely crazy how often they just responded, voiping and turned friendly. Some even said they are scared of the double barrel with rip rounds, I started carrying as secondary, because they had no leg protection. But after some time I realized, that I'm not playing a hardcore survival shooter, I was playing a meta game "trick and scare cheaters away" And playing against radar users or crazy cheaters just is not the type of game i wanted to play. I got into SPT and with a lot of mods you realy can tune every aspect of the ai, and the server, like xp rates and loot. But the best thing is loading into the raid 1 minute, raid timer 120 minutes and instant search (no more sitting and waiting for loot to unveil for 5 minutes per raid) -> actually playing the game more. I let some friends. that also play tarkov, test when they were over, had a char with endgame gear prepared and no one noticed that it was not the life version. The advanced ai is insane. They use cover and blindfire. they use group tactics, some are rats and hide, some are chads and push their own grenades. They have more waypoints, roam in more areas. I tuned SPT so crazy that my survival rate is lower than in the life version ,, but It's still way more fun. Mostly because even the ai has no unfair advantage like radar, to avoid you or set you up. But still the SPT ai sometimes is hidden and gets the jump on me. With mods you can even set the HP amount for the ai and give everyone helmets, making it way more chalanging. God the life ai is so bad..

I may not quit for just Grey Zone (although I am enjoying it's early alpha state) but I have quit Tarkov. I can't vote with my wallet, as I already paid for EOD many years ago (and got my monies worth), so therefore I can only vote with my "principles", which means no longer playing Tarkov.

That's good rate of return but then maths would be hard for someone like you, who is clearly and ironically, delusional. I'm not defending BSG, quite the opposite, I'm walking away from their product.

Gotta request a refund and discontinue your preorder. They state when you purchase the game you are placing a preorder with early access as a bonus, so under EU, US, UK and AU laws you can end that preorder if the product is not delivered in a reasonable time frame unless you agreed to the time frame.

I initially quit after the wiggle video, but coming back was a possibility if the cheater situation improved. Now there is no shot I touch the game and I actively hope everything crumbles around those scammers at BSG.
I have 3k hours and now regularly take months breaks or skip wipes entirely. I don't think I played either wipe in 2022. Won't be hard to quit. I've played the game plenty enough.
Uninstalled at the beginning of last wipe when people could crouch walk and make 0 sound. They fixed that 2 weeks ago. It took them MONTHS to fix easily one of the most gameplay breaking bugs to exist. It's been uninstalled since and this just solidifies my decision.

Literally uninstalled to go play GZW. It's been a blast, one of those games I think about throughout the day and can't wait to get back to. I've been EoD since 2017, we'll see how long it takes GZW to get to this stage of decay.

So depends how good you are at FPS games. If you are very good you’ll enjoy EFT a lot. It’s by far the best shooter out there (most satisfying). If you suck at these games you may not have fun. I’ve been here since the early days, I bought EOD and got the $95 upgrade for Unheard, and neither bother me. I have 3,000-4,000+ hours across 7 years between EFT and Arena, and NO OTHER GAME has given me that much fun in almost a decade only having to pay once for $120 (sale for EOD) and then another $95 7 years later for Unheard. I’ve gotten my money 600x. EFT isn’t for everyone, but if you’re a skilled player and have good hand eye coordination and reaction speed, EFT is the best out there. 🤷🏻♂️
I think that there are 2 types of people when the matters come to "quitting Tarkov". 1) People who leave live and only play SPT/FIKA/SIT; 2)People who don't mean it, and are only saying it in order to create a moral high ground for themselves and the adjacent community that are boycotting the game. The first group in my opinion has their hearts in the right place since they are not engaging in the experience controlled by BSG, in other words basically can evade all their BS while still scratching that Tarkov itch. The second is misguided and is actually the problem since they will say this but one month from now everything will return to normal and they'll keep throwing cash at BSG way. Don't be a fool, go play SPT or one of the coop mods with your friends, do not engage in BSG's Tarkov, if you do, you are just helping to worsen the problem.

In a roundabout way I won’t. But that’s because my buddy and I figured out how to get Project Fika working and now that we can play SPT together there’s zero reason for us to play the actual game.
I officially quit EFT 2 wipes ago, I always want to play every wipe...but if you dont play that first 2-3 days of the wipe its pointless...its the most fun...but even that isn't enough... if I need my EFT fix now I just play SPT with some mods (QoL stuff) and after a few hours my fix is done and I move on with my day/life for a little while longer.
gotta say the vid was amazing! I quit live Tarkov about 3 years ago. Started playing SPT about 2 years ago. Never went back to live. I don’t play any game breaking mods or anything, which is the first strawman usually thrown my way on comments like this. No, normally I throw in AI improvement mods to make them closer to PvP in live, and then I throw in mods that fix or bring in promised features BSG hasn’t added in 9 years of development such as door breaching, lock picking, and multi tools actually working in raid like the description said it did on release. Overall modders in their free time make more development progress than BSG’s team of full time devs. And
For a solid four years, I was deep in the trenches of Tarkov. It had me hooked, unable to tear myself away. But lately, the itch to play just hasn't been there. I reckon it's a mix of growing tired of the same old routine and simply not having the time to commit like I used to. I've only got a handful of hours to spare for gaming, and waiting around for ten minutes just to hop into a raid isn't cutting it anymore. Don't get me wrong, Tarkov's a gem, but I'm ready to see what other developers can bring to the table in this genre. It was a strange feeling when I realized I wasn't interested in Tarkov anymore and found myself abstaining from gaming altogether for a bit. But now, there's a spark of excitement building up for some upcoming titles: Greyzone Warfare and Arena Breakout.
Work, have kids, married. Any games I play I don't want to feel like another job. Tarkov felt like a ptsd inducing job. Quit years ago and never looked back.
I don't need to quit, i've got SPT AKI, I can turn it off and on with no issues, as long as BSG EFT keeps getting updates so will SPT, plus i have unlimited mods and if i so desire, maybe a dip into the MPT pool
Quitted because of Bugs / Cheaters around 2 Years ago. Waiting for it to leave Beta and see if the Problems get fixed, because i really loved it. But now - what happened, i dont see me coming back. Tarkov is in the grave, most people i know quitted
15k hrs in tarkov and I'm currently dealing with the fact my favorite game just imploded and i don't think many vets are going to come back i only know like 2 out of 100 people that play in my discord that got it and both of them are stupid rich and have no value of money and to be fair i stopped playing live tarkov a few months ago when 90 out of 140 deaths were to people that got banned Great vid as always
You are definitely right, most people won't quit. I have escaped tarkov, however I told my friends I would reinstall to play with them or play SPT. But my solo days are over. Been boycotting battlefield and cod for over 10 years so I think I can stay away from tarkov
The real solution is embracing spt and having a personalized experience when it comes to PVE, if you want to still play PVP you can play on main servers, not to mention spt does have coop mods to play PVE with friends

Single Player Tarkov is actually pretty good. It takes some learning to get the right mods and tune them the way you like. But it also took some time to learn and figure out how to play tarkov in general so don't pretend like you don't have the time or aren't able to figure it out. I shit all over single player tarkov for a while before I tried it and I was flat out wrong back then. I might play proper tarkov again in the future if Nikita pulls his head out of his ass one day, but SPT is more than enough to hold me over until then.
You missed something in your calculation Spud: SPT-Aki. I won't come back to Tarkov like ever. And if for some reason the mod is taken down, I'll be so much used to it I won't have it to re-learn regular Tarkov pace again. And I hope everyone in the community will be doing the same, since even coop has become viable in SPT.
Already quit over 6 months ago. Not even tempted to go back. Gray Zone has grabbed me. While in alpha mode and with problems, I'm still having way more fun.
Haven't played in 2 years, moved over to linux and can't run the game because they never updated the anti-cheat. I'm kinda glad about that. Also, the best part about "the wiggle that killed tarkov" is people just respond with "nuh-uh, that's just cherry picked, I don't ever get cheaters in my game!".
I quit Tarkov back around 2021, and only reinstalled it early last year because a few friends wanted to play. After a couple months and a lot of very suspicious deaths, we all kinda fell off playing. I didnt uninstall, but i was kinda waiting to see where the game was going and if / how they would address cheating closer to 1.0. Well, since i hadn't played since around May of 2023, Tarkov just sorta sat on my PC until this Unheard thing happened, at which point i just uninstalled.
My friends got me to play a game called "Vigor" on Xbox awhile back that felt pretty similar to Tarkov when I played it, except I believe you can switch between 1st and 3rd person view. After doing some research though, it seems that Vigor is a console exclusive game, which the developer stated that it was always meant to be. Which is, an interesting choice, that I don't think I've ever heard about in recent years.

I have 3k hours and now regularly take months breaks or skip wipes entirely. I don't think I played either wipe in 2022. Won't be hard to quit. I've played the game plenty enough.
Uninstalled at the beginning of last wipe when people could crouch walk and make 0 sound. They fixed that 2 weeks ago. It took them MONTHS to fix easily one of the most gameplay breaking bugs to exist. It's been uninstalled since and this just solidifies my decision.

Everyone's a little rough on grayzone right now. Some of us still remember what the first month of tarkov looked like, it was way way worse.
Something I just realize is that... they never say that we will have access to the game when it's done, it's just guarantee access to the beta, not the game.

im going to be honest ive never played a game that gave me the satisfaction of seeing a team as a solo following said team for 8 minutes and getting the drop on them taking their loot and extracting. the game thats made me the most frustrated in the world has been tarkov arena though.. eft second.

So depends how good you are at FPS games. If you are very good you’ll enjoy EFT a lot. It’s by far the best shooter out there (most satisfying). If you suck at these games you may not have fun.
I’ve been here since the early days, I bought EOD and got the $95 upgrade for Unheard, and neither bother me. I have 3,000-4,000+ hours across 7 years between EFT and Arena, and NO OTHER GAME has given me that much fun in almost a decade only having to pay once for $120 (sale for EOD) and then another $95 7 years later for Unheard. I’ve gotten my money 600x.
EFT isn’t for everyone, but if you’re a skilled player and have good hand eye coordination and reaction speed, EFT is the best out there. 🤷🏻♂️

I think that there are 2 types of people when the matters come to "quitting Tarkov".
1) People who leave live and only play SPT/FIKA/SIT;
2)People who don't mean it, and are only saying it in order to create a moral high ground for themselves and the adjacent community that are boycotting the game.
The first group in my opinion has their hearts in the right place since they are not engaging in the experience controlled by BSG, in other words basically can evade all their BS while still scratching that Tarkov itch.
The second is misguided and is actually the problem since they will say this but one month from now everything will return to normal and they'll keep throwing cash at BSG way.
Don't be a fool, go play SPT or one of the coop mods with your friends, do not engage in BSG's Tarkov, if you do, you are just helping to worsen the problem.

In a roundabout way I won’t. But that’s because my buddy and I figured out how to get Project Fika working and now that we can play SPT together there’s zero reason for us to play the actual game.
I actually did quit it, after all the stuff that happened the last few wipes. Gonna stay on SPT it's actually a lot more fun.
I officially quit EFT 2 wipes ago, I always want to play every wipe...but if you dont play that first 2-3 days of the wipe its pointless...its the most fun...but even that isn't enough... if I need my EFT fix now I just play SPT with some mods (QoL stuff) and after a few hours my fix is done and I move on with my day/life for a little while longer.
Hutch, Landmark, all of these buffoons won't quit. They are just riding the drama wave, chasing the bag.

I quit live Tarkov about 3 years ago. Started playing SPT about 2 years ago. Never went back to live.
I don’t play any game breaking mods or anything, which is the first strawman usually thrown my way on comments like this. No, normally I throw in AI improvement mods to make them closer to PvP in live, and then I throw in mods that fix or bring in promised features BSG hasn’t added in 9 years of development such as door breaching, lock picking, and multi tools actually working in raid like the description said it did on release.
Overall modders in their free time make more development progress than BSG’s team of full time devs. And
For a solid four years, I was deep in the trenches of Tarkov. It had me hooked, unable to tear myself away. But lately, the itch to play just hasn't been there. I reckon it's a mix of growing tired of the same old routine and simply not having the time to commit like I used to. I've only got a handful of hours to spare for gaming, and waiting around for ten minutes just to hop into a raid isn't cutting it anymore. Don't get me wrong, Tarkov's a gem, but I'm ready to see what other developers can bring to the table in this genre.
It was a strange feeling when I realized I wasn't interested in Tarkov anymore and found myself abstaining from gaming altogether for a bit. But now, there's a spark of excitement building up for some upcoming titles: Greyzone Warfare and Arena Breakout.

I don't need to quit, i've got SPT AKI, I can turn it off and on with no issues, as long as BSG EFT keeps getting updates so will SPT, plus i have unlimited mods and if i so desire, maybe a dip into the MPT pool

Single player tarkov SPT is an awesome and free mod you can play with your homies and mod everything else.
The real solution is embracing spt and having a personalized experience when it comes to PVE, if you want to still play PVP you can play on main servers, not to mention spt does have coop mods to play PVE with friends

Single Player Tarkov is actually pretty good. It takes some learning to get the right mods and tune them the way you like. But it also took some time to learn and figure out how to play tarkov in general so don't pretend like you don't have the time or aren't able to figure it out. I shit all over single player tarkov for a while before I tried it and I was flat out wrong back then. I might play proper tarkov again in the future if Nikita pulls his head out of his ass one day, but SPT is more than enough to hold me over until then.

I won't come back to Tarkov like ever. And if for some reason the mod is taken down, I'll be so much used to it I won't have it to re-learn regular Tarkov pace again. And I hope everyone in the community will be doing the same, since even coop has become viable in SPT.

Already quit over 6 months ago. Not even tempted to go back. Gray Zone has grabbed me. While in alpha mode and with problems, I'm still having way more fun.
Haven't played in 2 years, moved over to linux and can't run the game because they never updated the anti-cheat.
I'm kinda glad about that.
Also, the best part about "the wiggle that killed tarkov" is people just respond with "nuh-uh, that's just cherry picked, I don't ever get cheaters in my game!".

I quit Tarkov back around 2021, and only reinstalled it early last year because a few friends wanted to play. After a couple months and a lot of very suspicious deaths, we all kinda fell off playing.
I didnt uninstall, but i was kinda waiting to see where the game was going and if / how they would address cheating closer to 1.0.
Well, since i hadn't played since around May of 2023, Tarkov just sorta sat on my PC until this Unheard thing happened, at which point i just uninstalled.
My friends got me to play a game called "Vigor" on Xbox awhile back that felt pretty similar to Tarkov when I played it, except I believe you can switch between 1st and 3rd person view.
After doing some research though, it seems that Vigor is a console exclusive game, which the developer stated that it was always meant to be. Which is, an interesting choice, that I don't think I've ever heard about in recent years.
Fair... Already quit over a year ago and no plans to go back before they fix their shit, including giving me everything promissed.
