Since I began working on this video, BSG has made some changes regarding plates system, PVE, Theta container being accessible through arena gameplay, and SOME unheard content being available to EOD users. Despite the changes made, I still have yet to return to the game as many others have quit as well. This video is a summarization of the things they’ve done to make me stop playing and why I probably will not return, not your Tarkov News source.
I perfectly understand, I stopped playing a few wipes ago and gave Tarkov a try after hearing about SPT, and honestly this video isn't a news source, it's just a summarized story of why most of us either switched to SPT or stopped playing entirely
I was already inactive with Tarkov for 2 years, only playing SPT off and on. Then unheard happened - and a buddy of mine expressed interest in SPT. We switched to Project FIKA. It is a coop mod for SPT that is completely independent. It's fully moddable just like SPT (since it's based on SPT). We have been progressing steadily. We are loving it. It's given us enthusiasm to play. The bots are as hard as we want them to be. It's great. We aren't going crazy with the mods, but we have optimized several aspects of the game. We have changes to durability wear, QOL changes to the hideout such as decreased timers, and have made various changes to in-raid settings with SVM. It's honestly a breath of fresh air and makes us excited to keep playing.
This game is like taking 15 people and putting them into a nut kicking competition where the winner gets to rail some coke. That one time you win it feels great. And it will keep you coming back for more. The rest of the time, your writhling in anger and ur pissed because clearly someone was wearing steel toe boots which was against the rules.
Oh not just another clip dump from Jesse kazam while bragging about views and algorithms lol 🤔 it's almost like quality content will get you ahead lol yea allot of wanna bes out there work is work gotta put it in it ain't all gaming unless your really good like willerz or you have people around you that generate viewers. Allot of it is just lazy.

I agree with everything said in this video, I've been playing tarkov since 2017- 6000hours. The WORST aspect of tarkov isn't the cheaters(because PVE tarkov has no cheaters), its STREETS. This is the best Tarkov experience description on the entire Internet. I really hope you make many more videos and keep this style. Good luck, and hopefully you get millions of views, because that's what this channel deserves.
I just want to start by saying this is a very well done video simplifying all the problems with tarkov, the unheard event and how it feels for majority of the playerbase for people outside of the community while also keeping it digestible and funny honestly it deserves as many views as the wiggle video, but personally this wipe I saw as one of the greatest wipes to have come to tarkov since the reserve update. the beginning of the wipe, as long ago as it was, was one of the first times in a while that I have truely felt like I was playing the tarkov that I initially played when I first got the game, the addition of snow, reworks to recoil and new quests, guns and a whole new map made the game enjoyable again and I find that most players I know agreed with me about it, but due to lack of new content and bsg deciding to turn this wipe into the longest one it’s ever been it was only a matter of time until they would fk it up. Personally of all things that I would like to be added is an intrusive anti cheat like vanguard in valorant or ricochet in cod. The cheating problem has gotten to far out of hand and is the sole reason I feel they added the pve mode. Until they fix the absolute absurd amount of cheaters this game will never be as good as it could have been
Good video, honestly the sub number surprised me. Great work mate. As for the game I quit around the time when playing while chinese were awake was a death sentence so I'm surprised by those new things.
Great video I think it sums it all up... As a standard edition sufferer who bought the game I am very disappointed in the performance and p2w front of the game.
Great video! The last wipe was probably it for me. I agree with all your points. They really need to start from scratch with a whole new engine but i don't think the players will follow at that point.
This is awesome and so much effort in making this! Really hope the support seen shows more content come out, you got my Sub! Amazing work. Nice to see videos that aren't a thumbnail and 20 minutes of a raid.
Hey man, almost clicked off this video because I just didn't wanna sit through the monologue at the beginning, but I kept watching. Awesome video, please keep making content.
One of the if not best tarkov videos. Thank you for this, I cannot describe how you just made a video of what i think and monologue to myself when running Labs for loot. Subbed before your first 1000, remember me!
Good Video. Had a laugh a couple times. I feel like this explains most of how I feel towards the game. Its a shame the game is basically a scam at this point. Looking back on the Devs of the game shows they've never been great at making good games because they end up tunnel visioning on everything except what needs to be done. Its the classic start building the road-map when the community asks whats next. Remember, its been 7 years in Beta. Add 2 more for the closed alpha. Take an honest look at where the game is now, what bugs come back every update, and what is still broken compared to when YOU started playing the game. As another side note, half the shit in the game right now, was never planned to be in the game. It wasn't until they saw the influx of new customers when Twitch streamers catapulted the game forward. Then they started doing drops, pestily started doing 24 hour streams, etc. They saw an opportunity for a cash grab on the front step and instead of being disciplined, we got Nikkita posing in front of an AMG GTR wearing a Balenciaga T-shirt after the news broke that the company used profits from the game to go on a cruise instead of fixing bugs, or better setting up servers/game design. Then once the game continued to sky rocket in popularity. They struggled financially to acquire more servers because they pissed away a lot of money elsewhere.
Agree completely, regardless of what recent changes they have made to the game, there are still problems that have been around for years that have yet to be fixed and the priorities have yet to shift to what actually needs change. Also, glad you got a couple laughs in and see the true point of this video. Thanks for taking the time to write your comment, appreciate you.
Well made and good line of argument. Top video. They made additional changes since you wrote the script and the "Its not fair to new players" argument does not hold up for you personally as you are not new. Next wipe will tell your actual commitment to abstinence.
Thank you sir, and yes I am aware. I have yet to play the game again since April, and have since then completely removed myself from the Tarkov scene. This video took me a while to put together as I also work 9-5 throughout the week, but thought this was the best way to summarize all the issues that made me personally stop playing. Appreciate your gentleman-like criticism though, cheers brother.
EOD was already pay to win, it made progression much easier and quicker. The 0.2 rep alone on each trader saved many hours of grinding. The much larger stash meant you could hoard all the quest items instead of being forced to sell ones that are needed for a later quest to make space for the ones you'll need sooner. The gamma container allowed you to waste way less meds and ammo when going into raids by carrying spare ammo and meds in it, while still allowing something like a docs case for keys/intel or space for a GPU you might find. I never liked the fact that EOD existed but I just tried to mostly ignore it, so long as they didn't add more p2w to the game I'd begrudgingly tolerate eod. The addition of mtx and unheard edition was absolutely disgusting, not only did they break their old promise of never adding microtransactions to the game (and making the game more pay to win), but they also added p2w advantages that don't just affect progression speed, but rather the elements of a raid themselves (calling friends into a raid, scavs ignoring you from a distance, bigger pockets). Another thing that pushed me towards quitting was how they changed up some questlines, putting difficult tasks (some of which used to be dead end tasks) much earlier in the progression than they would normally appear (for example setup). They also changed up some old tasks to be (arguably) more difficult, for example punisher part 4, they moved the PMC kills subtask from shoreline to lighthouse, which is objectively a horrible map and a pain in the ass to play. Really the only thing that would get me to return to the game would be for them to remove all the P2W advantages they added post-EOD, but since people already paid for extra stash space and unheard edition they can't do that even if they wanted without either giving them all a refund (which they certainly won't do) or getting sued. I don't give a shit about the DLC stuff since I didn't buy EOD anyways, nor do I care about any of the DLC, the only thing I find scummy there is how they locked co-op offline raids behind a paywall, a feature that people have been asking for ever since the game came out.
best video on tarkov since ol mate made the one about "the wiggle" keep it up :) fyi all the quests we play are side quests.... but the idea you suggest is awesome
This a very, very good video. I haven’t played tarkov consistently in 3 or 4 years, but this game used to be my baby. I am very sad to see the current state of the game and you summed it up very well. Great job
great content!! i love the way you presented the information and still made it entertaining and light hearted. you really have a talent when it comes to critical thinking and analysis in the world of video games, i look forward to more reviews of yours!
Eh still the best game on the market no matter what. No other game can compare. Biggest issue is optimisation I really believe the game needs that asap it’s unjustified how badly it runs.
yeah tarkov has been one of those games that I follow because I think it's really cool but with how BSG prioritizes the way the gameplay is actively hostile to new players and how "it gets good after 1,000 hours", of course new players are going to pick it up. And then the players who are dedicated to being the #1 player in Tarkov getting shafted because BSG has killed EFT's appeal to new players and now needs to squeeze them of all they're worth, well this was easy to predict happening last year, and even a few years prior. I have maybe 400 hours in tarkov, not giving them any more time, either.
Everything was very good and it was an exceptional video. I have just one gripe and that is the mention of hardware bans. Hardware bans, IP bans etc don't really make much of a difference because they are so easy to get around, although it would be nice to see them implemented. What would be even better is binning battle eye as a whole and going with something that actually works.
@@gpxzy They already utilize HWID bans for actual cheat detections(only manual bans weren't HWID iirc), if they don't anymore that's a relatively recent change. Thing just is, they're useless since every cheat comes with an HWID spoofer.
@@gpxzyit won’t, spoofing Heidi is very simple as simple as the cheats themselves there’s videos showing cheats with it as a built in feature for if this happens to the user.
Was expecting scav ate my legs to comment, but i'll do some work too, this video summarized the community, i completely lsot interest in playing tarkov pvp seeing all the issues it has, i just went on and played pve, retiring for peace and not need to grind so hard, the first day of access of pve i WAS RUSHING like hell, then i told myself, the things i loot will never go away, so why am i rushing? i should just chill out
After playing for 6 years I am happy to say I play PvE now, can enjoy the game and the new content. Haven't reached lvl 42 anax traders since they added reserve. Don't need PvP and probably will never get back to PvP
I remember when I started getting disillusioned with the development decisions behind Tarkov. It was watching a commentary by OnePegMG on a technical patch that buffed the damage of M556A1(?) by a few points. What I thought was a fairly benign change was pointed out to be a huge benefit since that increased the headshot kill range of rogues by about 100 metres, making it easier to clear Lighthouse sentries. How is this realistic? Tarkov already has incredibly punishing AI, but making them all have different health pools just adds confusion and is utterly brutal to fight against. Unlike other games, where I crave the challenge of a boss, I dreaded it in Tarkov. Alas, skill issue.
When i first started playing i was so excited about new features etc it was the year they came out with lightkeeper then i was underwhelmed every single time they added something and startedbthinking the same thing. Its just an endless cycle of bad changes and little to no fixes. The game is still fun to play but if the devs played it like we did it would be way better off.
Its sad that this is the way its going and you're not alone to quit, many maannny loyal fans, have quit I dont think they will recover from this if they nail the things you said (Optimisation and AC) Hope dies last

yeah tarkov has been one of those games that I follow because I think it's really cool
but with how BSG prioritizes the way the gameplay is actively hostile to new players and how "it gets good after 1,000 hours", of course new players are going to pick it up.
Earned a sub for this masterpiece
There's a mod for SPT called project fika and it lets you play with friends over coop. Aparently you can install it into cracked tarkov too
Subscribed and that bell do be ringin
A fantastic look at that state of tarkov, great video and a clearly well written script that was well thought out, all round an amazing video
good video. happy to see this
Everything was very good and it was an exceptional video. I have just one gripe and that is the mention of hardware bans. Hardware bans, IP bans etc don't really make much of a difference because they are so easy to get around, although it would be nice to see them implemented. What would be even better is binning battle eye as a whole and going with something that actually works.
Thank you, and I agree, I don’t think hardware bans would completely resolve the cheating issue but it could make some difference.
Was expecting scav ate my legs to comment, but i'll do some work too, this video summarized the community, i completely lsot interest in playing tarkov pvp seeing all the issues it has, i just went on and played pve, retiring for peace and not need to grind so hard, the first day of access of pve i WAS RUSHING like hell, then i told myself, the things i loot will never go away, so why am i rushing? i should just chill out
Ive never played the game but this video had great editing!
After playing for 6 years I am happy to say I play PvE now, can enjoy the game and the new content. Haven't reached lvl 42 anax traders since they added reserve.
Don't need PvP and probably will never get back to PvP
6:45 was that a nirvana reference?
Ofc
Man. This is gold 😂 Good job!
very good vid, this guy should make gaming content
hey buddy pal
Didnt expect a good written vid with 2k views, glad i gave it a change, gl
Great vid!
Great video!
Awesome video mate! Could I ask what was used to edit it? well done. I can tell there was a heap of effort involved.
Thank you man, I used Davinci Resolve
Very easy watch, quality video. Nice one
