I had the iPhone 6 Plus around 2014 and kept it for 6 years while everyone around me were plucking about $1000 for the newer phones each year. Finally went to the 12 afterward. Not too big of a difference. Still have my 6 plus and boot it up a few times a year to relive the memories.
The 6 Plus was probably the best iPhone I have ever owned. No issues, ran flawlessly. I was absolutely psyched for that phone...going from a old small 5 to the massive 6 Plus. I used to have the phone for 2 years, then upgrade..this one I kept another year. I probably would have kept it for a 4th year, but the iPhone X was too tempting back then. What I miss so much about the 6 Plus is being able to navigate the home screen, all the icons, etc in landscape mode! Wish they would bring that back to the newer full screen iPhones again.

When I was 10, I always wanted this phone. It seemed so beautiful and classsy and expensive. The design is pretty much mid-2010s ( I would argue the 6s is more because of the rose gold, which was everywhere). But at that time I felt that it was the peak.
I got my first iPhone which was the iPhone 6 when i was 11 years old, so around 2017/2018. This bring me back. I went into year 7 (in school) with this phone.
I honestly think any screen yellowing is a sign of bad battery because I had an iPhone 5s with screen yellowing that turned out to have 20% battery health and this iPhone 6 in the video with screen yellowing turned out to have 10% battery health

My grandfather had a daily used iPhone 4S, battery health ended up dropping to 6%. Died in literally like 4 minutes, and you could just watch the numbers drop.
Yellowing is a common issue with old LCDs as they age and I even had it on my four and a half year old third generation IPad Air at the time I replaced it with an M2 11 inch IPad Pro in December last year! My mom also had yellowing on her IPhone 6 screen at the time she replaced it with an IPhone 13 in early 2023! :)
I heard that it’s the glue or possible the Diffusor getting UV-damage? I have that issue on an older iMac and even worse on my main computer screen (sadly it’s the highest resolution one)
Weird but my 6s screen looks pinkish lol, it’s not that noticeable but little noticeable when you hold another decent quality lcd nearby and lot noticeable in outdoors with sunlight ambience. Idk why tho. So I always turn on night shift whenever I go outside

The iPhone 6's go yellow around the edge of the screen, my mother's iPhone 6 plus has. The Phone still works fine to this day, it's had one battery replacement since new.
I remember i was gifted an iPhone 6 when I was younger and put it in an otterbox defender and played Roblox non stop. I played while connected to the outlet and got my battery all the way down to 14% heath according to the Genius Bar person. They also told me the phone got to 347^F at one point which was also why my WiFi antenna was not working well. I clearly remember the employee saying “what did you do to this thing”?! 😂 I didn’t even know that was possible.
My iphone 8 plus definitely lied about the battery health. It said it had 79% battery remaining but it would die after about 1.5 hours of screen on time.
It's incredible, I like the iPhone 6 with iOS 8. I have around 10 of them and most of them don't go beyond 30 charge cycles and they all have a battery capacity between 95 and 100%.
Man the 6S had a so much faster SoC, and it was the first iPhone to have a nvme type of nand, it’s got LPDDR4 RAM, everything was so faster.. to say it wasn’t so much faster is really bs.
Issue is with battery degradation for Iphones is not many people realise built in features will reduce it rather significantly and at a fast pace, e.g location services on, background refresh on, bluetooth on, light mode on with high brightness, not having standby mode on... as well as general things like having the phone kept in warm/hot places or actively using whilst on charge
I just want to note that in my experience, the iPad Mini 4 is extremely slow when it first starts up, and even when it has been on for a good amount of time, it still isn't very fast. So it probably shouldn't have gotten iPadOS 15, because it can barely run it. It's not as bad as the iPhone 4s or other A5 devices on iOS 9 though. For some reference, the iPad Air 2 runs iPadOS 15 very well, and it's actually almost fast in fact. Both devices still do get good battery life, at least on my examples.
I had a 6s in 2018 for maybe a year before I had to get a new phone as it had a defective battery that got to the point that it would last maybe 3 hours before dying, and that was with all of the power saving methods in place. It was a nice phone too so having to replace it so soon really sucked.
The battery in my iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey was at 51% health and it died really fast. I'm talking like it would drop from 100 to 0 in under an hour if not plugged in. And it would randomly shut off when gaming because the battery could not deliver the peak performance capacity. So I bought a new battery, opened the iPhone, took the old battery out and put the new battery in.
I bought the iPhone 6 when it was released. I used it for 4 years and had 2 battery replacements. I still have it on iOS 12. I wish I would have bought the 6S.
Have an old i phone 6.... it has battery health of 52% so gud ig.... runs ios 12.7.... but takes forever to charge and sometimes the battery is not able to support the phone fuctioning and so it switches off randomly even with like 39% battery left

Phone probably sat in a drawer in a discharged state for a few years. Batteries degrade rapidly if you let their state of charge get too low.
iPhone 6 6+ and 6S+ had the best design ever. I love the look of it.
