You will never hear johns such as "I lost because I didn't play for a long time so I'm rusty" from PPMD, if anything, he can win because he's taken the game in a far different direction than everyone. Favorite of all time is Isai. Mostly because of how dedicated he was to growing the SSB64 scene and how much he contributed to the birth of competitive Melee. Plus it's amazing to see one person playing every single character in the game very well.

westballz is the most fun to watch and that in a game that is basically always fun to watch. He just puts an extra layer on it and he is one of the few players where their personality comes through ever so distinctively in their playstyle. watching westballz powering up in the middle of a set when he just destroys his opponent in the sickest way creates a feeling in me that no sport or other game could ever accomplish. Basically the ultimate viewer experience!

My favourite player of all time is the GOAT himself... Armada! Have enjoyed watching his Peach ever since I joined the scene and his Fox is a sight of beauty. ;)
Shield grabbing is a habit I struggle really hard to break, especially since I play marth and sheik and the payoff is sooooo huge, and most people I play against regularly still get hit by it. I started using nair out of shield, though, and up-b out of shield (for marth), and it is working out pretty well so far. Wavedash OoS is hard for me to do, though, since I use R to shield and to wavedash, so I'm working on that.

Hungrybox. (Easily clutch, perhaps the most of all time, has shown how a chatacter can evolve over time, & he makes fun of himself. I've never understood why Americans don't get behind this guy, he always seems to be the one who defeats the Europeans when Mango or M2K can't.)

i must warn new smashers ive heard this channel advise that you use the 20XX hack to show you when you're standing still, and never stand still if you don't live by other people and do this against computers all the time, you might develop very bad habits since you are not doing things because you should, but simply to do things so that you are not doing nothing so make sure to also think about what you goals are at any given time like as fox you might think like you have priorites: if you can get a shine gimp, do that if not are they at high percents? use a kill move appropriate for that character (low hit angles like bair for fast fallers and high hit angles like usmash for light characters) if they're not at high percent, what is the best launcher for a combo at this percent? is there a guaranteed kill combo at this percent? ie: jab upsmash at ~85-95 on light characters, uthrow uair ~62-85 on jiggs then you get to the point where its like, they're missing wavelands so ill be more patient when they're moving under platforms because they might miss a waveland which can be hard punished that kind of thing and my favorite smasher is Taj
