The plasma table is such a great tool.

That’s a nice new tool for the shop, probably some learning curve to be able to use it regularly. I hope you have fun learning it all and don’t let it get you down.
I don’t know if you watch Keith Fenner’s channel but he does a lot with his plasma cutter, I’m not sure if he gives out code for any of his projects but I’ve heard that some people will.
Again, enjoy yourself and keep us to date on newest toy! Lol

Yes, I've seen Keith Fenner's channel. He works on boat stuff a lot. I first saw the Langmuir plasma tables on Mike Festiva's channel. He does some incredible stuff. I am still waiting for the actual plasma cutter, but I've been able to draw pictures with a sharpie in the tool holder. Getting cutting parameters correct will take some practice I imagine.

Wondering if you have any vids of the setup for your rolling platform. Did you just weld the wheels to the angle iron, I'm assuming the angle iron is 1.5" or is it smaller. what thickness of Plywood did you use. Did you buy the tank from amazon, or somewhere else? Has the Plywood held up to the flying sparks? thx for vid!

1-1/2 angle, welded together. 3/4 inch CDX ply, The feet of the table just rest inside the angle iron frame, on the plywood. sparks fly off to the sides, so no issues there. Tank was from Northern Tool. Sorry, no vids of that build.

I originally used permatex ultra black rtv on my water table and I had problems, I ended up using 3m panel bond instead.

Thanks for the quick reply! I saw you did it in another comment and was going to come back and tell you never mind, but you were so quick! I’m pretty nervous about setting up my table but am learning as much as I can by watching channels like yours. I liked your air compressor video too

The Langmuir instructions are superb so if you can follow directions you'll have no problems. Their forum is very helpful if you have questions and their tech support is excellent. Just jump in, take your time and enjoy the process. Perhaps the best thing I did was put the rolling platform under it. It took several hours but was well worth it. Learning Fusion 360 is another fun exercise. I watched a number of tutorials on RUclips that really helped. The plasma table has become my favorite tool in the shop.

Thanks for the wonderful videos! I'm thinking about the purchase of the new Langmuir XR CNC table. I was wondering if you had to reach out to the tech support folks at Langmuir and if you did, was they helpful and answer your questions in a timely matter? It would be comforting to know if their support is good before forking out $$$ to a table. Going to build a dozer as well. Thanks again. Francis

Have never had to talk to them. They have an active forum with lots of help, but again, everything was plug and play. Easy Peasy.
