Great vid! I just got my Crossfire Pro in and can't wait to put it together! I just can't believe Langmuir hasn't put out an assembly video for the Pro yet! Subscribed!
Have fun!! Yeah, the Guide is annoying in a couple of spots. They have you install the THC at the end after you've mounted it, not when you have the electronics box apart the first time on the bench. www.langmuirsystems.com/pro/assembly
I just use a right click and pick .txt file and write my own code. CNC will read a hand written txt file of G-code. There is a lot of short cut in g-codes writing and different way to use them. Kinda like short hand and long hand.
Great video! I couldn't find an email address on your channel so posting here. I'm on Fusion 360's Nesting and Fabrication team and would be happy to chat if there's anything we can improve to help you cut parts more efficiently on your Crossfire Pro. Let me know. Thanks,
Hey did you use the little black box that came with it? Or did you just plug you plasma in to the torch on off? I am having problems with mine it will start to cut then loose connection with my laptop. Love the video! That’s ahead of time for any help
@@brandonmurray7484 The better processor and the more RAM, will allow the laptop to work more smoothly and faster with Fusion software. Look to see what the minimum requirements are for the Fusion software to run. That's really what you need to look at. Also look at the minimum specs for the Langmuir software. I use a desktop to make my drawings and then have a lower end laptop out in the shop to run the plasma table.
New subscriber here, how is the machine holding up? I to would like to get one. I am a stay at home dad and would like to start a small business around welding and a cnc plasma table. Nothing major mostly small projects. Tha is for the videos 👍
Are you finding the program easy to use? I am on the fence still because of my lack of computer skills, I can turn one on, search the web and get email but not much more than that, old guy, I used to do a lot of dyno tuning and programming of ECU's but that was pretty easy with the programs I had for use. The crossfire pro is about the least expensive cnc table i can find as well, but it won't work with my htp plasma cutter so would have to buy the same set up as you did, are you happy with your purchase i guess would be the next question after programming ease. Thanks for your time and video
I'm very happy with the purchase even though I haven't used it much since the purchase. The software doesn't seem to be bad. Check out the short tutorial videos on the Langmuir RUclips channel. They aren't in order, but if you search around, you can see CAD tutorials 1-10. Download the Fusion 360 software and see if you can draw the bottle opener in the tutorial for the heck of it. If you can do that, I think you'll be fine. ruclips.net/channel/UC33E1SV3EBSQkyNlma5hN0wvideos?view=0&sort=dd&flow=grid
@@57moto59 thanks, I'll see if I can find that info and the program. I don't know how much use I would get out of the investment either, I am retired now and do use a lathe and mill on a regular basis, I cut quite a bit of metal with my plasma, I still do some work on other people's bikes as well and making brackets would be easier with a cnc machine than by hand like I have been. My main concern is if it's difficult to program I will get frustrated and the table will end up as an expensive bench top!!
@@marcusmorgan1419 I have the 2x2 Crossfire and had the same fears you did. The software isn't too difficult to learn but there are things to learn. Langmuir has some pretty good RUclips videos and the forum on their website is helpful. You draw or import a file and the Fusion 360 software generates the code for you. The frustrating moments I've had with the software is when I've tried to make cuts that are too small or the design had too sharp of interior angles and the code wouldn't generate. Having gone through those frustrating moments, I am much more efficient now. I only have a 30a plasma and I mainly make signs and craft projects. I've been cutting since March and have paid for the machine already. Hopefully next year I'll purchase the Crossfire Pro so I can have a larger work area and that Z axis control is going to be nice! If you do decide to make the purchase, shipping can take a little time. Also, I had to upgrade my laptop as it was older and I couldn't run Fusion 360 on it.
Hypertherm are about the best you can get anywhere. I don’t see a problem starting with a less expansive plasma to get started and upgrading down the road. I would rather have a CNC table and cheap plasma, than an expensive plasma. I’ll be doing probably the Harbor Freight Titanium 45 to start personally and upgrade to the 45XP down the road
Might look at the Harbor Freight Titanium 45. I would NOT use one off Amazon. Go with a less than $1k one to start then can upgrade the plasma down the road. That’s what I’m going to do
I really didn't keep track of how much time I worked on it. I started on a Friday night, worked on it most of the day Saturday and figured out I was missing a part, which turns out hadn't been shipped yet. It was the little black box that connects to my plasma cutter. I then had to wait about a week to make first cuts.

This is a horrible company to deal with. In a nutshell I ordered what was advertised as a no hassle pre-order cancellations. Well long story short they 1. I requested to cancel the pre-order 2. They updated their return policy, removed the no hassle bit and then stuck on a cancellation fee. Thats some shady business practices. What kind of a company does this?? I downloaded the file from the Langmuir file share.
@@57moto59 Hey thanks, I got my CFPro running last weekend and I need to make my helpers some welding squares. This is big help.

Do it!
Nice video! what air compressor are you running? Also are you using the Razorweld30 or 45?
Thanks! It's the 45. My compressor is a 5hp Curtis I bought used.
Saving up for mines, I live in Hawaii. It’s gonna cost me about $5000 shipped.
Ouch, but still less than most on the market by a long shot.

What is the aluminum octagon looking square you are using to weld up the square?
