Skyline Hike from Palm Springs Museum to Aerial Tram on Mt San Jacinto

The Skyline trail is one of America's steepest, hardest day hikes. We did it at our own pace recording the changing views as we ascended, on our cell phones. I wanted to see all the views in one video and give us inspiration to keep training to do it again this fall, so I finally put the footage together to make this video. It was not a race, it was a marathon. By the time we got to the top, it was hard to even think about videoing. The feeling of accomplishing this hike, up the mountain that is literally in my backyard, is so empowering, every time i look up at it, I feel it's 'my' mountain.
Enjoy the views through more than 8,000 feet, from cactus Sonoran Desert, to Alpine forest.
