guys this is literally the BEST cat treats recipe!!! my kitty looooooooved it. Plus you can make several variations, like I did with tuna. As a useful tip, I recommend instead of making individual dots, to pipe long thin logs, bake them for 8 minutes, then cut them into mini bites and bake these again for another 5-8 minutes. Sorta like making biscotti, It dries them out and makes them much easier to eat!

Made this today and SO FAR is helping greatly for my kitty who is going through dry-withdrawal. Yup, step one-taking the all day buffet away started 2 days ago. But who’s counting. Definitely NOT using as a replacement, but as a pacifier when moments get rough and/or crumbled on wet food. Thank you!

Catnip tea is good for humans as a stomach ache remedy.
Also helps with insomnia and when you got the flu.
I think I’d save my time by spreading the mixture thinly onto a covered cookie sheet and cut them in desired sizing. My animals are GREEDY and love generous cuts. Thanks for sharing!

I have looked and looked for a meat based cat treat I can make so I can trust the ingredients. This is the ONLY one I've found. I did do a quick check on nutritional yeast as I've never considered letting my cat eat it and also on the sardines. YAY!! Both got the thumbs up! The qualifier was sardines in moderation and this recipe certainly meets that criteria. My kity is leading the healthy life on her raw chicken diet with hearts and liver and she never has had "treats" except salmon I poach in water, I really wanted to spoil her with something "fun" AND healthy.
Couldn't sleep so started baking at two in the morning and made these. They didn't look too appealing so decided to give it the taste test before giving to my feral kitties. I have to say these are delicious, taste like turkey sausage. I think my kitties will love them.
Two paws up from Squirt! I finally remembered to buy some Nutritional Yeast while running errands yesterday. He gobbled the first one down, but the second one must have still been warm in the centre because he stopped chewing and held it in his mouth for a couple of seconds before deciding it was okay to swallow lol. I would recommend letting them cool completely (as instructed by Jasmin) before offering them to your furbaby. It's my experience that once a cat is put off by something it's rare they will give it another try. Also, I cut each piece in half once baked because he's used to smaller treats then I can make using a ziplock bag as a piping tool. I'll invest in a more sophisticated mixture dispenser for next time such as the one suggested in the video. Thanks again, Jasmin!

You can also use a cookie scoop (like an ice cream scooper but smaller). They are like $10 at any kitchen supply store.

What you viewers can do is make catnip tea and use that instead of just water. Also if viewers are freezing these treats then they can be used as a summer cool down for cats.
One can add a chondroitin if needed and any supplements while mixing
Thank you for this recipe! My cats are extremely finicky! I even make them turkey legs or chicken in my crockpot and then pate' it. Sometimes even rhat is not good enough but the store bought they love. I cant6 afford the $20 a carton price every week! I cant5 wait to make these!!!

Tried this recipe today. My boy, Badu, gave it a go and it might be too chewy? He wouldn’t stop licking his face. My girl, Gypsy, wasn’t having any of it. 😢 They’re not usually picky eaters. Also, sardines stank up my apartment lol!

It’s been about a year since I made these and my cat loves her treats, and not only does she love them but these don’t upset her tummy like the commercial brand treats. My cat best loves these warmed up fresh out of the oven. After I made these, as an additional treat, I let her lick out the bowl since what I make her raw food in is a dedicated bowl. So I make this in the same bowl. It just makes her so happy to patiently and thoroughly lick all the meaty and tasty goodness out of the bowl. 😉
I bought that pastry thingy 2 years ago from the £shop & it's still sitting in the cabinet. I don't have mince and other stuff😁🤣🏪I guess shopping day tomorrow. Let's hope my picky ones will like this

Plan on making them today for my Maine coon, Dobby. I made our 4 huskies a couple different kinds of treats and he feels left out everything I give them something and not him. He legit thinks he is one of the dogs. He will follow me around and meow and attack my leg (playfully) until I give him some too. 😂

I used to put katsuobushi (bonito flakes) sometimes when she was not eating her food. Works perfectly as well and she gets nuts when she heard the sound of the bag. Also, I have a question: my kitten is in mixed diet (wet + kibble). Can I still give her those treats, even though she is not on raw diet? Thanks in advance. Meow!

How many can they eat a day?
The cats milk that is used in the post is an ok product but there are better ones that can be used, Lactase milk or any commercial lactose free milk is better. If you buy a commercial lactose free milk don’t worry about “ it will go bad before I can use it”. Milk can be frozen just freeze your milk in usable portions so you can keep some for future kitty snacks. I really had a difficult time watching this video because there’s too much chatty nonsense when more time could be focused on making a finished product. Im a professional chef and I’m used to keeping on task. However I did like the versatility this recipe can bring.

I am thinking of making these for my cat and for some of the ferals.
6 out of my 13 liked it, and the others.......... did not! This recipe makes A LOT of treats (maybe I made them smaller?) and took me ages to bake all the "cookies". My make-shift piping bag tore on my second try, so I gave up with the baggie and ended up using spoons to lay them out. I froze batches for future use :)

I think I'm going to really like your channel. I've always wanted to make treats for my kitty my old cat he's not a kitty anymore. He's 15 almost 16. Those Yeast flakes, are they special for animals? . Or can you use the dried yeast you use to make bread. I am not from the US, maybe they have different yeast flakes you use overt here.
It’s nutritional yeast! Also known as “nootch”. You can find it in amazon!

I just tried to make it! It's cooling right now but I ended up cooking it for around 40 minutes and the frothiness still wasn't gone around the edges of all of them, is that alright? They are quite firm and look cooked.

And unfortunately all fish canned here are salt added 😭 Can I use fresh sardines or any idea for another substitute?
You can probably still grab that and just rinse them with water to get rid of the salt

Hey, I tried this with my cat but he didn’t like it , I am searching for a recipe where I can somehow feed wet food to my cat, ( I do feed him wet food) but I am looking for a recipe made out of dry cat food.
If some food left in his bowl he doesn’t eat in evening or next morning , every time he just wants fresh batch 😂 and the leftover is of no use ( so I feed that food to local cats)
That’s why I need to find a way to feed him that leftover dry food by adding other ingredients maybe 😕
If anybody knows what to do please feel free to share your thoughts 😊 it will be very helpful

Nutritional yeast is for humans and animals. You can find it in most health food stores and in Whole Foods market, it's in the bulk section.

Gosh, i spread nutritional yeast last week on my cats' wet food...all 7 refused to eat. They sniffed it and looked at me with that wtf face...only 2 of my cats gobble it all up but they eat anything, nutritional yeast or not.
Wait a sec, when did cats get on board with the raw diet you speak of? What's great, is that you can sprinkle these chicken bites on your cats food & on you own salad, but maybe omit the kitty sedative catnip if you're going to partake 😂😂😂
