As Guts leaves, he is challenged by Griffith and manages to defeat him and earn his freedom. However, Guts' departure affects Griffith psychologically and he spends a night of passion with Charlotte in a lapse of judgement. When Griffith leaves the next morning, he is apprehended and arrested by the guards.
Up until now, everything went according to Griffith's plans and thus there was no need to hurry things. But with Guts winning the duel and leaving, he felt that he is losing control for the first time ever. This made him afraid that he could also lose his dream and a demand for success (over controlling other people). Thus the incident with Charlotte..
And the worst part is that Charlotte doesn't even realize that she is being R*****, because she is under the illusion that they love each other honestly. Otherwise she wouldn't call for him in such a caring way, immediately after waking up..
We are entering in the endgame now 😢
griffith is doing all this thinking and strategizing in the moment of battle. thats a sign that he was going to lose. before it would have been instinct...but guts got him all flustered. the feelings these main characters have for each other always makes one think. and the situation with Charlotte. its like when a man does his woman wrong so she resorts to impulsive cheating in order to get back at him by any means. no rationale. for griffith it was a sign of desperation and feeling lost. i do think griffith views alot of people as his possessions but Guts really was special to him..almost like a possessive boyfriend, and he threw away everything just as Guts was willing to leave everything but for completely different reasons. with everyone else i dont think griffith would go to that length or be affected in the same way if they left and i think it surpasses simply valuing guts as a powerful asset in combat.

I love Guts because he represents the fighter in the depths of darkness
Somehow Guts is extremely likable character, even considering his worst moments in the show so far
While I was thinking of starting the series again, I saw your first video and watched the first episode just out of curiosity about your reaction. Your reactions were so sweet and sincere that I realized I was continuing the series with you. I'm currently waiting for your video to continue and I'm starting to like it. I am a lawyer and due to my profession, I was surrounded by "very serious" people, so I could not find anyone with such "childish" hobbies and I did not share my hobbies with anyone. Thanks to you, you have suppressed a hunger that I was not even aware of. If you finish the series and start reading the manga in the future, please continue producing videos.

Enjoy being blindsided for the rest of the series now. Pretty much everything from this moment forward is unexpected and pretty much the reason this is my favourite series/story of all time. 😁

After finishing the anime you should check out the trailer for a new Berserk anime that some fans are making, it looks very promising.
We will check out fan made episode after 25th episode, is that trailer from the same guys, or different?
@@DenverSenpai well there are currently two fan made berserk animes (one made as the 97 you are watching made by ARCHE and other more modern by SWEETHEARTARTIST) but there is other that will release next year but already released the trailer(by STUDIO ECLYPSE), it is also the one with more potential because is a way bigger group, you can choose which to watch after the 97 one

lore is different, but there’s tons of references from berserk, especially in elden ring
