I’ve been playing shipwrecked arcana with my friends for about two years. Really fun game with such a distinct art to it. Feels weird seeing a game I already own being covered on your channel. It does save my from any FOMO that I would otherwise be getting
This game broke my heart. First, the setting was so cool and awesome... and it had nothing to do with the game at all. Second, I got the base game and expansion on a Monday. My wife and I loved it, but by Friday, we shelved it. Except for the first game, we never lost. We considered shortening the Doom track, but that just increases the luck needed to win, not the skill.
The fates do go back in the bag. The hidden fate goes back directly after a prediction is made irregardless if it was a correct prediction. And the fates in front of a card go back in the bag when the card fades. The fates not going back in the bag was one of your "What I don't like" points so hopefully this will make the game more fun for you.
Jason Stegmaier turned me on to this game in one of his videos about great games for 2 people. It's one of our favorites to just leave on the table because its so easy to set up and knock out a game in no time while we drink our morning coffee or kill time before we have to go somewhere. For like $20 after shipping we have gotten insane value out of this.
Been playing this since their original kickstarter. It’s our most played game. To make it more difficult, play with only 3 cards rather than 4, or don’t use the backside of the cards.
Looks like fun, but I’m OUT. I just got an email that Great Wall was closing in two weeks instead of two months, so that plus the Foundations of Rome reprint (expansion only) and the Agemonia add-on to cover extra shipping wiped out my August and September budgets. I’m not sure whether I need to sell one of my kids, but the dog is definitely leaving. On the plus side, nope, there is no plus side, except more games in the far too distant future. Enjoy GenCon!
My wife and I love this game at 2-players but we play with the variant in the rulebook otherwise, it's too easy. Another commenter mentioned using just 3 cards which we may have to try.
I got rid of this game and then about a year later felt the need to get it back when I began to get a sense of its growing rarity, and remembering how fun it was to play.

I love Shipwreck Arcana. Its a nice balance of puzzle and intuition and constantly makes you feel clever.
Very intrigued by the look (art and graphic design) of this game and the simplistic rules.
Can't believe I have completely missed out on this one.
I really enjoy this game. Love trying to figure out other people's logic and vice versa. Highly recommend!
I managed to get my hand on this, neat little game! I do like logic puzzles :)
Seems like a great occasional play once you get decent at it. Love the art.

I have been wanting this game for awhile, looks right up my alley, but I don't know if the people I play with would play with me
My favorite deduction game.

The look of Shipwrecked Arcana is really slick, tho I dunno how fun it would be with just two players, which is my most frequent player count… 🙃
It's great at two, in my opinion. My wife and I play it all the time. Works well at all player counts.
ty for the video!
Absolutely :)

Have you tried Paint the Roses yet? That is now my favorite coop deduction game. This really looks fun though and I need to try it.
I own and enjoy both. If you really like Paint the Roses, I think you'd like it, and even if you don't, it's definitely worth a try.
