Lovely to see you reviewing this. I got the game through Kickstarter quite a while ago, and it has become a family favourite with us. The grandkids love it, as it is competitive without your actions directly damaging another player, and it doesn't take too long at a higher player count.
I completely agree with your review. I love how it teaches game mechanics and geography. The art is FANTASTIC! I will most likely gift this game or sell it since it is a gateway game and no one else wants to play it anymore in my game group. They want heavier games. Everyone I have played with has enjoyed it.
This game is great, it’s my, you like ticket to ride? Try this! It’s way better! If I’m lucky I won’t need to play ticket to ride ever again….except with my 7 year old.
please define GATEWAY GAME. You use this term a number of times and I do not fully understand what point you are trying to make. Thank you so much for the review - and thank you to those who have commented on this game (giving more first hand accounts)
There are certain games I will never buy, no matter how good they are. I work on trains so for me to buy Ticket to Ride would remind me way too much of work....no thanks. Spend enuf time there, as it is. Pandemic is another one. The sheer name makes me want to run after the early 2020s and the BS the Aust govt did. Wingspan....my interest in birds, no matter how pretty the game, just won't want me to buy the game. Ark Nova, being in a zoo would just bore me to tears and I'm not into competitive games for the family....they are deadly. Between friends, ok yet not in the family. I have bought this game (Trekking) yet to play it....waiting for my big move from Aust to Europe and can't wait to play it with my 8yo granddaughter 🙂
Love playing this game with my family. House rule: Every time someone takes a tour they're required to read the back of the card aloud.

Whoa, when did I get to Quack&Co from the BoardGameCo channel?! Less time watching means more time playing. Thanks for the review!
We enjoy this game very much and this made my list of games with best art in my collection because I really like the art on the cards.
Nice :)

Hi Alex. How does this compare to Trekking The National Parks? Which has more substance?
ty for the video!
Absolutely :)
Is there reading involved, or just iconography?
Just iconography I believe
@@BoardGameCo maybe I'll have to give this one a shot with my kids...
You can clearly see "Journey Log" on the top right of the paper. Right?

A game suitable for people who don't play games. Simple to teach, yet fun to play and hopefully a good stepping stone to more complex games.
