I'll be trying the P&P version today and maybe back it.I like that you get a power to help you out if you're doing poorly, but like you said, it's a bit odd to have the same power available when you're doing well. On the other hand, if you're doing poorly, you might get slapped twice.Maybe discarding faded cards in case of a correct guess and moving doom by two in case of an incorrect guess. That feels like it could make the game less swingy - no extra bonus if you're doing well, no extra punishment if you're not.
Funny you should say that, Petr. That is literally the exact same variant we came up with and started playing with. It works well, making the game a bit harder and slowing down railroad victories. I didn’t want to mention it in a review of the game as written; but it’s my preferred way to play. Great minds think alike, eh? :)
Funny, indeed :). Anyway, we played our first game today and I have to say I found it incredibly boring. Playing it with four people probably didn't help but I don't thing that was the main reason. I haven't misjudged a game this badly in years :). I will try playing one on one in the future but I'm most likely not backing this. Thanks for doing a video on a current KS game, by the way
Whenever we can get a copy from a publisher or do a PNP version, we will try to give you our take on games on KS. They just aren’t available too often. A lot of games are still in development when they open their campaign.
It’s been mostly a lot of fun for me personally. I find the little puzzle-solving moments engaging. But I also see some flaws, especially for gamers not as interested in math.
Currently in the midst of moving. Taking off until mid March so that we get settled. A lot to deal with moving with 2 boys and working. Thanks for your patience!! Mike and Steve rock to be stepping up for me! 😁
This has been the single most played game for my wife and I, and sometimes our daughter too. It's quick to setup and play, but the huge variation in combinations of arcana cards makes the logic puzzles different each time. Sure, sometimes with certain cards it's a "no brainer" but that's the price you pay for a game where the rules change each time you play (and throughout each game). We love this game and it hits the table all the time.

Wow. This game is so uninteresting, it's great that somebody pointed it out. Great video, thank you 👍

Hey... Not that we do not appreciate all the contributors, but we miss Colin's videos and his participation in the podcasts... Any news from him?

Really glad you’ve been having a good time with it. My wife enjoys it as well, and has requested it several times this past week.
