Testing which products remove the glue easiest. I am not affiliated with any of these products plus other brands available
The thinners is a 2k universal medium strength thinner

Do any paint thinners work or does it have to be the 2k stuff?

Methylated spirits work best for this, use a wallpaper steamer to get the vinyl off.
