That’s an amazing job, and it looks perfect to me! Thanks a lot for sharing your work with the world, and your videos have helped me a fair bit with restoration.
Mate it might not be perfect in your eyes ,but I'm guessing you are your worst critic .That's why who ever owns it would of been more than happy with the end product. Bloody top job mate ,in my opinion your probably doing the best job on the H Series Holden's on RUclips buy a country mile!
Awesome! The early pics blew me away, as I never realised how extensive the floor/section work was. If I win lotto, I'll get you to do this old Panelbeaters project...🙂
Hey mate that’s a brilliant paint and panel job , Can you do the same for a hq sedan i have sitting here 6:26 Really enjoyed all the vids from you and ur brother. Cheers Wayne
Absolutely love it. I've been waiting for the update on this beauty. You should be very proud of your work. I've just bought a HX ute with a sunroof cut in that I want to get rid of. Do you have any pics or videos of the roof work please?
Mickey mouse as mate. As a long time veiwer of you and your bro's channel i like to say thanks for the tips. Although, it does hold me up trying to do things properly,as I really am a backyarder . 😆
Thank you - I had these ones fitting great before the shiny was put on. I’ll have to do some revision later on, particularly on one side. Which part is not fitting on yours?
Without actually seeing it, it’s hard to offer any sound advice. But at a guess, if the nose cone is lower than the guards, it could be a radiator support panel issue, as the nose cone can really only go in one spot and where the guards bolt up to the radiator support, it may not be allowing the guards to fully come down to meet the nose cone. I suspect that’s why Holden made those top radiator support to guard brackets adjustable on the HJ-HZ models whereas HQ is spot welded into a fixed location.
Thanks for watching. The tray colour is as per factory for HQs, Vynacoat Grey is the colour name. Body coloured trays came in standard on the HJ Kingswood Utes from memory.
@@TheRestoShed My Dad had a Belmont HQ and the tub colour was the same as the rest of the ute. But over time the paint wore away to reveal the galvanising underneath.
To each their own - Unfortunately for the general population they don’t care about the quality, just as long it’s done quick and lasts a little while, but we know how that ends up in the long run.
The Ute came out great you should be proud of your work.

Looks mint, well done. Also just wondering if u have any tips for lining up the nose cone with guards - mine seem really off...
Thank you - I had these ones fitting great before the shiny was put on. I’ll have to do some revision later on, particularly on one side.

@@TheRestoShed where the nose cone meets the guards the nose is about 5mm lower

Good see another Holden getting the attention that it deserves. Can I ask why you didn't paint the inside of the tub the same as the outside colour?
Thanks for watching.

Yes, the trays were galvanised on the HQ-WB Utes and Vans.
That is a shit load of work Kyle and makes a mockery of some of the *quick flip* resto channels that are popular and get the views.
