Hi! Here is my question. Yesterday I tried to smooth on my ps3 for the very first time. I always had that feature off for fear to blur the picture on games. I tested the Gt5 and it looks more natural (specially the city buildings). Everyone here says that smoothing affects only ps1/ps2 games. That is not true for me!! Sony confuses me. They say PS smoothing (is PS: playstation or PS1???). The important thing is that I perceived the change on Gt5 wich is a playstation 3 game. What do you think about it????
I try it with GTA5, Sleeping Dogs and the Last of Us but i didn't see any improvement especially on those weird jagged shimmering lines on doors fence roadlines wires and stairs! So what kind of improvement you talking about, the overall quality of the pictures or that specific AA+low resolution issue?
@@ΣωτηρηςΓεωργιου-ξ5θ hi. I perceived an overall "nature look" improvemrent with buildings and its lines, specially on panaramic views like when you are faraway from them, though you are right the jaggies they are still there. The jaggiest game for ps3 is Castlevania: Lords of shadows 2, They are extremely abusive. Greetings
@@jorgemartin5093 Those jagged shimmering lines means that Sony purposely deactivated the Anti Aliasing and the upscaling resolution maybe to stabilise the FPS or something and let the the console run the games with the inner resolution of 600p+no AA it's so obviously bc this amount of jaggies it's not normal. We need a device to provide a serious upscaling and MLAA MSAA or FXAA bc Mclassic and Mcable it's completely useless with those jagged lines.
Is there any way to improve anti aliasing on my PS3 bc all my games including the exclusive titles it's full of jagged shimmering lines? Mclassic+Mcable it's completely useless. Unfortunately your tips is not improve my graphics quality!
@@pedrosilvaproductions No it's not normal, that amount of jagged shimmering lines on doors fence roadlines wires stairs even on exclusive titles like TLOU UNCHARTED RESISTANCE GOD OF WAR3 it's like Sony purposely deactivated the Anti Aliasing and the upscaling resolution, maybe to stabilise the FPS or something or to just stop using it,and let the PS3 run with the inner resolution of 600p and no AA!You don't have to be an expert to realise that,it's SO obviously!!!! Someone must force Sony to give an explanation. "PS3 it's an old console" it's not a serious explanation!
Thanks eclipse this was very helpful keep up the work and never give up
Спасибо, eclipse, это было очень полезно, продолжай работать и никогда не сдавайся.
These settings will decrease your frame rates

That's normal mate, the ps3 outputs at 720p. It's a console from 2006, we can't expect perfect 4k definition
