    I still say this movie should’ve been delayed indefinitely, give people more time to grieve Chadwick, wait till more people are open to a recast then continue making the movie, only with T’Challa in it.

    There is no doubt in my mind that Disney took the sad passing of Chadwick Boseman to as a golden opportunity gender swap the character. Every Marvel fan would have accepted a new actor in the role.
    Disney is insisting on annoying fans with unnecessary gender and race swaps in the name of woke ideology. It's tedious film making intended to alienate male fans who usually pay to see these kinds of films, since we are somehow toxic and oppressive ogres, so these movies are no aimed at a female audience.
    This is a bad strategy as girls are only going to stick around for so long after the male audiences realize that Marvel has become the "My Little Pony" of Comicbook universes and walk away.
    I don't believe in Superhero movie fatigue, the problem is that DC and Marvel are generally producing low quality films with flashy special effects.
    People stuck around for the original Bond films for 20 movies. They will do the same for Batman, Superman, Captain America and Ironman..So long as they keep the quality up.

    • @hardcutreviews
      @hardcutreviews  Год назад +3

      It’s sadly not about quality anymore. It was such an exploitive way to move her into the role. It was probably headed that way already but not until movie 3 or 4 at the earliest. Timeline moved up. 👍🏻 Agenda is secure.

    • @isaiahadams1996
      @isaiahadams1996 Год назад +5

      U right about that. I heard there was some foul play behind the scenes with how Marvel handled the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Apparently, Boseman and some of the Marvel execs, including Kevin Feige were having some disagreements over the script. And with that being said, Marvel & Disney’s quick decision to kill off T’Challa was strictly out of pettiness. They weren’t really tryna honor him! And that’s another thing I really can’t stand about this trashy ass movie.

    • @TriarchVisgroup

      "I don't believe in superhero movie fatigue"
      You don't have to believe in it. It's the reality of all major genres. Westerns, Film Noirs, Science Fiction, Macho Action Movies. They ALL go through this. Once they oversaturate the market, and the good ideas run out, and the people with talent get pushed out by the money people... You get what we see here and now. Fatigue.
      The audience is tired. I'm SICK of seeing wall-to-wall cape shit, Star Wars, and remakes. I want us to get back to the 80s and early 90s where we had a genuinely diverse cluster of movies out at all times.

    I appreciate you guys for doing this review.. it's such a powerful conversation that needs to happen and I know Marvel has seen the division they have created from not doing what Hollywood has done since the beginning and that is recasting. Tchalla's importance to Black men and boys has to be talked about and pushing a black trope by having an illegitimate son is an even deeper conversation. Fictional comic book stories do not have to showcase real life trauma and tragedy.

    • @hardcutreviews
      @hardcutreviews  Год назад +3

      T’Challa’s importance was sidelined so they could fast track their own agenda. It really is a bigger problem under the surface. Recasting would have hurt but ripping off that bandaid and keeping the character alive is important, for the reasons you said. The final scene with T’Challa’s son was tragic for so many reasons.

    I’m pretty late but yeah the movie (like the majority of the mcu in phase 4) didn’t sit well with me. People keep talking about passing down the torch and passing down the mantle but are forgetting about Christopher Reeves, Adam West, Heath Ledger and many other actors who passed away and was later on, recasted with an different actor. William Hurt who played Thunderbolt Ross passed away and the mcu is quickly getting a recast.
    The amount of actors who played Superman, Batman, Joker and we even got a whole movie with 3 Spider-Men together! Actors who passed away playing these characters will be played by another actor in the Future. Even James Bond got recasted with completely different actors.
    I know it’s to late to recast but still. They ignored the fact Chadwick’s family said they are Ok with recasting. Them believing somehow T’challa (a fictional character by the way) is the only character in pop culture that can never be recasted is just ridiculous. Especially with 60 years of that character’s stories being told in the comics. As for Namor, yeah he got pretty much race swapped and his character is completely different from the source material. All just for the sake of pushing more political agendas.
    Overall, great take guys. I just hope someone in the future will get this characters away from Disney and Make Marvel Movie Great Again. Hopefully.
    (P.S. that was not a Donald Trump pun)

    If Disney wants BP3 to be something remotely resembling a success, then recasting T’Challa, actual T’Challa and not his b*st@rd son, is a must.
    BP3 won’t have the death Chadwick Boseman for Disney to milk off, nor will it have the anticipation of millions curious to see how they deal with the replacement of a character fans have been longing to see for over 50 years.
    Like it or not, with Shuri as the main focal point moving forward, this franchise will be lucky if it reaches the £500m mark again.

    • @hardcutreviews
      @hardcutreviews  Год назад +1

      Shuri definitely can’t carry this series forward but that’s what they want. There are plenty of opportunities to bring T’Challa back in creative ways with all the multiverse plot lines popping up. They just need to wake up and realize the importance of the character over the actor. Thanks for watching!

      @@hardcutreviews it is and fortunately for Marvel, they CAN bring back RDJ and Scarlett Johansson as well as Chris Evans using their multiverse timeline gimmicks. I think fans want that as the MCU has really nose dived since Endgame. Spider-Man was the exception. Disney is too caught up in wokery and being agenda driven rather than good story telling. I think most fans are fed up. The same can be said over on the DC side as well. In Black Panthers case, the actor is really gone. There’s no bringing him back through creative time lines. That said, marvel needs to find better methods to deal with filling that void rather than give us a tribute movie. If I’m paying to see a movie called Rambo, the character Rambo better goddamn be in it. Lol apparently nobody was creative enough to figure out how to transition to a new black panther.
