- Welcome to another episode of Trailmakers! Today I am making a device based on the Fulton Surface-to-Air Recovery System, also called the Skyhook Recovery System. But instead of actually using it to recover things, I'm using it to get rid of them! Send your enemies into the air, and then take it one step further by spawning in a gatling gun plane to shoot them out of the sky!

Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

When it gets to a very high altitude, it should disconnect, and the damage from falling down will surely kill anyone in it. Or at least obliterate the vehicle.

This was one of the first times i seen scrapman have a creation that worked flawlessly, keep up the work scrapman!

This would be a fantastic time challenge against others. Have a certain weight of a vehicle that needs like 3 or 4 of these attached to be lifted off. The last one grounded wins

I am now writing this reply from a hospital bed.
Reminds me of a episode of the the show “Gotham” where a dude kills people by hand cuffing them to a weather balloon and the floating them upwards until they pop in the upper atmosphere, and then come crashing down.

Imagine how cool would it be if someone creates a dispensor mod so that we would be able to pack up a small creation in a dispensor and then shoot 'em out?

I finally got around to trying TM myself and have a bit over 24 hours so far. Those gimbal jets were a game changer for me :D Solid Snakeeeeeeeee.
One of my favorite little creations is the basically an armored jet pack with the pilot's seat and a couple gimbal jets
@@JustIn-sr1xe That sounds super fun! I started something similar but it turned into a monster of parts as I added to it. I am pretty sloppy in my builds, but wow is it fun! :D

@@JustIn-sr1xe I think my current gimbal flight thingie is doing the trick but its super janky. I had a lot of fun with it last night trying to pick up the explosive blocks I've put off. :D I need to try ScrapMechanic next! I loved Beseige, wish that had a sequel.
@@robinkesterlives My gimbal jetpack is a bit wobbly too. I've even tried using rotating servos to stop the wobble. So, don't worry. You're not alone there.
Scrap mechanic is another fun game. I have about 1000 hours just in creative. You can build faster in trail makers. But, there's more mods and unusual builds in scrap mechanic.
Beseige is also a good game. Though. I'm not so good at that one.

hey scrapman ive been watching your videos since you had 150k subs and before trailmakers and fell in love with your channel. I want to wish you good luck and to keep up the good work, il be here watching till you accomplish the best.
Love it! You could use an altimeter to have them hover at a given height then a cargo plane to fly around and collect them. Or use the altimeter to blow them up in mid-air.

Love the vids man, and as a fan of mgs and paramedical military history, loved your take on the Fulton system! (Also, the real Fulton is basically sending a balloon and mildly elastic rope into the sky, with the extractee attached on the ground. A cargo plane like an AC- 130 would then catch the rope either on the wing, or a lightweight hook towed behind the plane, and basically pull the extractee into the air behind the plane, before being pulled into the plan. Really cool extraction method!)
So, essentially, it's a reverse bungee jumping?

This might actually be useful for the campaign. You could lift the scrap then make a winch to tow it around like a balloon.
This could be a multiplayer TrailMakers. One person has to try to evade with a heavy vehicle while the others stick more and more of these to it
trailmakers multiplayer challenge: use only aerodynamic parts to make functional planes and race them-limits:no gimbals, weight you can decide, and 8-9 power cores

What about adding controlled flight ( Enable and disable flight with a click of a button ) and detonation (Press a button and BOOM!) ? It's possible that's all I know.

I think some kind of guided missile that does a delayed annihilation after sticking to an enemy would be cool
This would be a good multiplayer vehicle for one of your Monday vids. You should make the air hook have a timer to release the vehicle so it will fall to it's demise. Keep up the great work 🤟😎🤟
i think they should add something similar to this in Crossout. you shoot a canister, the canister breaks and inflates into a giant balloon, the enemy flies up into the air, the balloon explodes, the enemy falls down and obliterates it on the landing.

Maybe you could create a weapon that attaches some helicopter engines to the victim to make it spin.
Definitely a weird way to recover things
Idea: add a timer to detach/deactivate the gimble jets after the victim has floated up long enough to drop them, and cause an absolute annihilation.
You could make a variant of your sticky bomb and this. First it grabs them. Then it floats them. Then they go BOOM!
I think this would make for a great multiplayer battle challenge

You should make floating targets to destroy with a cannon, and use the altitude as a golf scoring for Multiplayer Monday. Very similar to this.

you should try putting them on timers, or maybe altitude sensors? that way they’d drop the vehicles after reaching a certain height! seems like a fun idea

Trailmakers idea: Make a "Realistic" sized vehicle of sorts, where as the car is fit for the size of your character

Maybe do this but the opposite? Just attach something to a vehicle that either makes it slow or stops it completely
I think the upgrade to this you put an altitude sensor that turns off the thrusters once it gets high enough...
I watched the sticky bomb tank then came to this vid, I think it would be a cool idea also op to have a piston extend out into a driver’s seat and detach dynamite leaving the car to explode with almost 100% accuracy
Add Dynamite and make it explode after 10 seconds
so that the creation will get lifted into the air then explode and fall into the ground
You should try to make one of those giant tungsten rods that are dropped from space but out of heavy weight blocks. The original point is that it has so much energy that it becomes explosive but just the sheer impact of it should be devastating.
The way they where put on was so satisfying
these balloons are pretty cool, id say they work like the balloons from just cause a lot

@@danielm.595 Dunno, I took it plenty of times as kid and never had any problems. No one else In PE did either. Must be some lazy people if they think the pacer test is "harsh".

Ok hear me out. On your scrap mechanic nomad world, you could make a retractable/deployable turret that, using wheels, can launch a wood/metal resource rod, and it would be quite deadly I would say!
Make a team multilayer Monday where you have to either recover your friend or, try not to get hit by another person's balloon
Put bombs in the thing you made and explode it mid air it will be op you can add even more thing like attaching gattling gun and it will trigger as it Certain height using the altitude sensor
Have a varient with a rocket, where at a certain attitude it'll activate, crashing it down to the ground.
Basically, it goes up, then rockets down like a meteor.

This'd be great for a multiplayer combat. Dethrone, only you have to use the deployed baloons
Multiplayer trailmakers idea: get this creation for the 2 or 3 hunters and everyone builds their own running car and try and see who can stay down the longest maybe have a weight so you need 2 balloon thingies
Now combine it with the detachable sticky-bomb, give the bomb a 30sec delay and you got yourself a real good weapon...
Make "The Firework"
This good riddance system but with delayed explosives that blow up about 3-5 seconds in the air.
Video idea. Multiplayer Monday with these and super heavy cars. You have to keep adding them to other cars until you lift above the ground.
fun fact: military uses this using an AC-130 and it can lift a vehicle or human and it's called a JATO hook

You should try to make an ULTIMATE! road warrior vehicle with all your “car weapons” in one (sticky bombs, spike strip and sky hook)
