Journey over grueling mountains, hazardous swamps, and bone-dry deserts on a distant world far from civilization - it is just you, your fellow adventurers and the amazing, jet-powered hover-buggy you built yourself. Explore, crash your vehicle, build a better one, and get as far as you can with whatever spare parts you find along your way.
Trailmakers is about building very awesome vehicles and machines, but you don’t need an engineering degree to get started. The intuitive builder will get you going in no time. Everything you build is made from physical building blocks. Each block has unique features like shape, weight and functionality. They can be broken off, refitted and used to build something new. Individually the blocks are fairly simple, but combined the possibilities are endless.
Expedition Mode is the challenging campaign mode of Trailmakers. You are competing in an off-world rally expedition with only a few building blocks to get you started. You must build, tinker with and rebuild your machine to progress. Journey through a big world, overcome deep gorges, angry wildlife and dangerous weather to progress and find new parts that will juice up your machine. The world in Expedition Mode will test your survival skills and ingenuity.
Sandbox Mode is where you want to head for an unrestricted, sandbox, vehicle-building experience. Here you can build anything you can dream of, and play around with it in the world of Trailmakers. It is a great place to test out crazy machines, and experiment with the physics engine. With tons of different blocks, hinges, thrusters and interactive vehicle parts - the skybox is the limit.
Trailmakers is even more fun if you play it with other people. Build cool vehicles and compete in mini-game modes with your friends or other Trailmakers online. Build a helicopter, send it to your friend, and shoot them out of the sky. Put two seats on a tank, and let your friend control the turret. As we get further in Early Access development Expedition Mode will also be adapted to multiplayer.

this is getting old
I still can't believe that this is the end of the campaign. I'm sad because every episode of it was very hilarious. And the falling with style is the hilarious part of this episode.
I cheesed collecting the logic nodes, i had already had a land bucket vehicle, had a floating version with some wheel power, and they had a grabber similar to a garbage truck. So i rigged the floating one up to glide and just picked up all of them at once and drove off the island.
My plane wasn't great with the large nodes but i threw all of them into the starter island then collected them with land vehicles

I would like to see him play the campaign again, but with a self imposed build theme/restriction. For example in my current play through I can only build animals.
It is great fun to switch to your goose from your elephant.
he should totally do this but the thing is he can't see all the salvage anymore so I don't know if he will be able to

If the last piece was the rotating servo, its underwater in a cavern. I used the game generated submarine to get it.

We need a new community world project. (For the people that don’t understand, a community world project would be like Scrapman’s suspension bridge series and his Medieval Fantasy series in scrap mechanic.

A bit late on this one, but while y’all played the game and progressed up to the dragon jet, I used a really messed up quadcopter and a lot of sanity… still got it… sky islands I reached accidentally while making a weird prop plane that had only small wings…

when i did this i made a tiny plane with 4 dragon thrusters and it worked with the biggest peices of salvage
Idea: Build forts and battle (2v2), one person defends, one attacks

You should do a lost in space verses and have a fight at the end using only the parts you were able to collect

there are junk yards before each section of the race and your goal is to weld a suitable part to your vehicle to progress

I’m one year late but if you didn’t know you’re not supposed to carry the big cargo on the floating islands they’re all above land so you can push them off and move them with a normal car
