@@karl_look so i tools some suspension blocks to dampen the impact and have anchors to hook onto the target then once attached it detonates it’s not 100% hesh but can still catch sloped armor like a hesh round
Sometimes the railgun bullet goes so fast it quantum phases through blocks lol, thats why he said the target got damaged from the back but the front was fine.
While not technically a railgun, piston-glitching a bunch of tank cannons together on the end of a bunch of max speed pistons allows for something that does damage more appropriate for a railgun. :)
I’m going to make a aircraft launcher now Edit: I made an aircraft launcher and made a boat that’s impossible to be hit by bombs, slow moving planes, and custom projectiles. It has 360 radius of tractor beams and so far the only weaknesses I’ve found in it is bullets and very very very fast planes. It also works as a plane launcher due to the ~250 magnets
There's a way of using magnets that makes projectiles go at absurd speeds. You use them to push the weapon that shoots really fast, and conect it to the rest with suspensions. This accelerates the projectile
So does dynamite in this game only explode if it makes direct contact with something else? It looked to me like the cone in the front was what kept it from exploding; when it did explode it looked like it hit the cliff sideways, directly on the dynamite.
It can explode either from direct input, like pushing a button bound to the dynamite, or if it takes enough damage, like getting shot or hitting something hard enough
the way to get the dynamite to explode is to have nothing in front of the explosive charge, and the way to make the railgun stronger is to add more length to the gun and add more magnets along that length. that is how railguns actually work, each magnet turns on and off milliseconds before the other to accelerate the projectile
I kind of wanted to see what would happen if he replaced the pipes with explosives? Would it have the same effect as it did before all of the changes or would it decimate anything within a 20 square foot (1.85806 square meter) area
Yes. As a railgun expert I can safely confirm that genetic energy is simply better. It's the reason my monster truck wheel launcher can rip a good through anything! The only issue is making the projectile go to fast, otherwise, it simply phases through everything.
As a trailmakers railgun expert, the railgun in the thumbnnail can be easily improved. No i will not elaborate. Credibility: -built a super sonic railgun -built a Wheel Luancher (yes. You heard me.) -built the railgun equivulent of a shotgun -built the mk1 and mk2 SmartBullet Luancher -the big one, built the M.O.A.B recently seen in scrapmans last best builds video (sorry to bring him into this)
Could you maybe make a lil vid on the supersonic one or tell me how im very curious now cuz ive been trying to make them supersonic but didn't manage to do so yet

Can you test your railguns on a thicker targets? I want to see if his is more surface damage and if your damage hits more internal parts. You may still cause more critical damage than him in 1 shot. Would love to see more testing. Including using it in an actual battle.
Dynamite is incredibly unreliable for projectile use in trailmakers. Before airborne I tried making bombers with them and they just plopped. No boom. I just put tank cannons face down instead. XD
I've tried this, this projectile simply files too slow and has too much bullet drop. I'd recommend using the new mini thruster, super heavy for it's size and doesn't have the same issues. The ammunition is also significantly easier to work arround
I’ve experimented with railguns and made things from fireworks to working hesh rounds so I’m excited to see what he dose

As far as i know, hesh rounds use armor to damage stuff inside the tank.

You could also use a piston system to have like 3 rounds so you can fire more if you add loading mechanism from the side using the detached block
or from above
Add wheels with tank style steering to rotate the entire vehicle
Also add a new unpowered weapon to get the new aiming reticle

you should do railgun darts so you add anchor pins to the projectile and try and hit the dart board

How about a railgun tank battle with Daan? Turn your railguns into turrets and mount them on vehicles... or build completely new creations?
