Small disclaimer: i'm not a professional, this is just my way of approaching an animation so take it with a huge grain of salt and always refer to professionals who actually know what they're talking about. I listed some trustworthy people in my resources/references (refer to timestamps) so check em out. Also for professionals/people who are better than me, please feel free to leave some criticism that would be super helpful for me and anyone watching this video, thank you.
you saved my life!! i have been searching for a frame by frame media player for months and i finally found it!! also your video explains my whole experience as a beginner animator i wish i saw this video when i started... thank you so much for this video, also great work i'm always excited to see your progress
Even tho you a beginner animator, you still inspired me to keep animating. I actually seen one of your videos 2 years ago, I think your first video and it really inspired me to animate to. Rn am learning how to animate hair, eye blinking and walk and run animation. Thank you bro. (An am getting that book for Christmas to)
Bro, I suck too and very much I still don’t understand many things in drawing, maybe because I do drawing 6 hours a week or something like that, I wanted to quit drawing thousands of times, but drawing is the only thing that inspires me, what is it for I, the main thing is don’t give up and... have fun? as you said before, Personally, I’m in a constant race with myself which, in my opinion, doesn’t give me anything, and only people who look at my progress in drawing will say, man, you were worse before. (sorry if there are mistakes, I'm Russian)
Keep listening to these people, the only person you should judge and look up to is yourself. That's where my personal fun lies as well, pushing my limits and breaking those every time feels satisfying and i love it. But if you don't find these things relatable, you should find a personal reason to what makes you want to pick up a pen/pencil and draw for hours. The best way to do that is to constantly try, practice regularly and to figure out your purpose and i wish you lots of luck on figuring that out
Can you do a time-lapse of your animations, something similar to 12:31 ~ 18:44 ? Like a learn with me type of video that shows a process of one of your animations per volume. It would be nice to watch while animating or drawing
Tbh i prefer that ppl rather learn through their own means to animate as i'm not comfortable enough in teaching other people something as complex as animation, which is why i made this video to give ppl lots of resources to learn from. If anything i could probably post an accelerated timelapse one day with a little commentary like notl does for some of his videos but that's all i wanna offer for now so nah
Sometimes I think I will never be good like there’s a gap or a wall or something that I can’t seem to get over it. I try and try… just pure hopelessness.

How much time does it usually take for you to make an animation? (Like those sketches you make)
Depends on the complexity of the animation, but it could take between 1h30 to 3-4 hours or even more
i think it kinda depends on your figure drawing speed
