Uh oh. Either I did something wrong.. or maybe it's not compatible with macOS Monterey yet? Because I keep getting errors once downloading off of the wine bottler page. and if I try to open wine, when it says "'Wine' cannot be opened..." it doesn't say "open" as an option. Only "Eject Disk Image" or "cancel" :(
idk if you figured it out but you have to go to privacy and security in settings and press open there

just not working for me. it installs fine but then I can't install any .exe files.
I tried funtime Scrapbooking lite - it runs, it completes and even gives a icon on my desktop - funtime scrapbooking lite.desktop. but if I click it it opens gimp (mac version)
how do I find the actual funtime app to open? a full system wide search does not show this app
I also tried with Embroidery Tool Shed and that goes through all the motions but does not give an app to run either

METOO! do you get the log file called null? when it shows me the log copy the log then open terminal then paste your log but sadly when you reopen the log file it says it will not work or something which is weird because I did exactly what it said

I had a question so I have Mac with the update of my third 14 and I told you it popped up a message saying you can use this application except the thing download and then I try to download steam through it and then there’s a problem it’s opening error and it’s opening a steam dot log

This was really simple to follow but I'm having trouble getting the Memu Android emulator to fully install. I began randomly clicking different Winetrick boxes in the hopes it would solve the issue. Got a bit closer but still the program failed to install.
Are there any recommendations for Winetricks you could provide for online emulators like Memu or Bluestacks? * btw I'm on Mojave
try to use from the installer right click open with ...wine and not from wine bottler it works perfect for me!!

I have newest mac os sonoma. Do you know how to install wine and runing a simplest exe file? The exe file is a simple app, no installer. It just bring out a dialog.

yes there is you need to clean ur mac by makeing a file and puting some files in there and make sure ur pc is safe and the app your running is safe

Okay... So... I finally got through the problem I commented 2 months ago... but now I've got another problem. It gives me an error when I try to install an exe file in the Advanced section.

@@sebay1571 you have to go to the download osu on Mac on the website I think and then you have to read the instructions and download the wineskin then it should download the osu macos agent then you have to do something in the agent then you can launch it I think, there’s tutorials on RUclips I’ll give you the link

@@sonobiava try installing majove maybe if your able to get a hold of it on a partition.
@@sonobiava VM or bootcamp.
Lastly, crossover would be your last hope. Wine is a 32 bit application, and Catalina drop support for that. Crossover is literally the only one that you can use

What if the Windows program I want to install is not just an exe file but that exe installer also requires other files that come with it? still needs to be installed though
It's better to just run a vm instead or bootcamp
