    My mother was one. When I became a mother myself it put into perspective the things she used to say to me. These were such damaging things I would never dream of saying to my own children no matter how naughty they were. They left crippling scars on my self-esteem and created such anxiety in me which I still struggle with today at the age of 72. The tongue is a deadly weapon.

      Psychopaths aren't stupid though. If they pick up on the fact you've picked them out, you're in trouble. I lost my last job once a psychopath who knew I'd figured them out reached a small position of power in the company I was at. This isn't a game and these monsters will destroy your life if given half a chance so be careful.

    • @stevenjon1347
      @stevenjon1347 3 года назад +2

      @ItsStillRealToMe DamnIt A gift for him. The psychopath was able to rob someone of their employment in a small industry simply because they were inconvenienced by having a neurotypical/empath who'd seen through them. The society we live in allows psychopaths/narcs/dark triad types to reap havoc and our only option is to flee while they take positions of power in businesses. It puts empaths at a considerable disadvantage in the job market as it looks like we're transient and constantly changing jobs but in fact we're fired/pushed out by psychopaths and if we bring this up at job interviews it's seen as sour grapes. I know what you're saying, it's just pretty demoralising knowing that any workplace with more than 20/30 people is going to have at least one or two of these creatures plotting and scheming to drive certain people out of a company.

      I do this, but I'm not a psychopath. My hearing is fine, but for some reason I watch lips while listening. I've always worked with people from all over the world, who speak a variety of languages, and I'm good at understanding people with strong accents because of it. Unfortunately, having adapted has left me with a behavior associated with psychopathy...which is as hilarious to me as it is absurd. I hope I dont have any other traits, lol.

      @sourceawry4035 3 года назад

      @DecrepitOrigin888 , well yes, I look at both. It doesn't take long to identify that someone is upset by their facial expressions. It can be just as insensitive to miss what they are saying as it is to miss the look on their face expressing an emotion. Especially in situations that involve a range of people who all speak different languages, it can be frustrating if the person with something to say is asked to repeat themselves or the words they do say are misunderstood.

    I really think one of my former employers had psychopathic tendencies. They had no problem lying to customers, employees, and even the government. They cared most about their business, they didn't show empathy to me when I was sick one day and was mad that I didn't come to help them, and they didn't care about anyone else's problems at work, and a lot of their emotions were fake and empty. I got hurt at work one day, and when I was on the phone about it to my manager they didn't say anything nice or ask how I was, and when one of my co-workers who was pregnant at the time was ill and feeling cold I asked my manager if we could make it warmer and instead our employer called and snapped at me saying my co-worker was just cold because they were ill and that we couldn't make it warmer. It was cold too, even customers said so. Don't work for people that treat you badly kids. This person made me feel miserable and when the place I worked at closed I felt so relieved.

      This. And I’m glad somebody said this. People are obsessed with labels these days, to the point where anybody they don’t like they attach an extreme negative label to it. “Oh this person I know does this or said this...he’s a psychopath or a narcissist”, or “I have difficulties dealing with this person, he must be a psychopath or a narcissist”. Ironically, the one calling everyone else a narcissist might very well be one themselves. Projection.
      But yeah most people aren’t that deep, a lot of the times you’re thinking way too much into it. Maybe the person is just a dick, or maybe they don’t know like people, maybe their personality just doesn’t agree with yours. Maybe you’re taking something too personally when it was never meant to be that way.

    I had a very close friend in HS who was exceptionally intelligent, albeit his academic non-excellence at that time. But he always hid his intelligence as much as he could, as people would get the feeling that something is off with this guy whenever he talked (His social skills were rather poor, poor guy). They called him a psycho and they meant it.
    Almost 20 years passed now since I last saw him. And now, he owns THREE big orphanages. Much more than anything those people (who called him psycho) ever did for the benifit of society. He is a respected member of the society now.
    I am very happy to have met him closely and I NEVER once thought that he was a psycho.
    Point is - *INTENTIONS/MOTIVES* - the biggest marker differentiating a 'real psycho' and 'not a psycho'. Only catch is - you'll have to be able to ignore the superficial mess and try to see the actual motive behind what anyone does.

I wonder whether they became therapists because they watched documentary about killers and thought that studying psychology would help them ruin people’s lives without any consequences because there is no supervision in therapy except for masters students and most therapists are parasitic thief losers who give no positive results to their clients because they care only about getting paid for destroying people’s lives.

      @Life Is Beautiful! California You've obviously never met a true psychopath then. There is NO absolutely perfectly correct way to relate to a psychopath. There is no solution to their issues. There is no way a normal, regular human being can NOT be affected by what they say and do. There is also no way someone like you, who has never truly run across a real psychopath, knows anything whatsoever about Ellie, or anyone else whose been unfortunate enough to get tangled with one. Basically, most people believe as you do, that somehow the Ellie's of this world "set the psychopath off", "upset him/her", was "just as bad", "annoyed him/her and caused the psychopath to react negatively". You are absolutely, completely, 100% wrong. You may be assured that Ellie went through her own angst, thinking that "if only I hadn't said this/done that/been there/bought that/looked like this/that" my psychopath SO wouldn't have done this or that. That is also 100% incorrect. It did not, and never will, matter how graciously, kindly, patiently, tolerantly, lovingly and wonderfully you relate to a true psychopath, it won't make a blind bit of difference to how much they are going to blame you for every mosquito bite, for every red light, for every sub-standard burger, for every rude pedestrian. You have no freaking idea, mate. And I wouldn't wish a psychopath on even you in your blissful ignorance. Thing is, they don't announce to all and sundry they are like this. Just wait until you work with one, and start wondering why all the folk you work with suddenly treat you differently and scoff at you, when before they were at least friendly. Just wait until you find out you were passed up for a promotion, because the office psychopath undermined you, talked shit about you, took credit for your work, and if you try to rectify everyone's wrong ideas about you, you just sound defensive. Those suckers are CLEVER in how they manipulate everyone. Good luck.

      Probably because people that are psychopaths were incorrectly taught that having emotions was a bad and improper way to be. Thus they as they grow older see sympathy and empathy as the incorrect response. Sort of like if you attach an electric shock collar to a dog and each time it barks you shock it to modify its behavior. Anyone who is now considered a psychopath went through some sort of behavioral modification and whatever happens next to trigger the sort of revenge response is sudden because the average person doesn't know what happened to someone else in their past. So, whenever you meet someone knew be cautious about telling jokes and so on. Get better acquainted with someone. Sure they may turn out to a psycho killer. Hold yourself accountable. No one has a right to make you feel LESS THEN and YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT GIVES THEM PERMISSION TO DO THIS.
      By holding yourself accountable, YOU TOOK THE POWER HE THOUGHT HE HAD OVER YOU.......remember this. Life is always changing. If you meet someone else, GIVE THEM TIME TO PROVE THEMSELVES TO YOU. It has nothing to do with what he can give you (materialistically). Allow him time to show you how he will treat you, your feelings, your heart and your mind. ALWAYS PAY ATTENTION TO RED FLAGS. @@Davidlee37101 Yes it could and parents being kind and tender with their babies and little children make all the difference in the world. Here is a comment that I just left..."I don't believe they are born that way. Especially when I see how hard some parents are on their babies and small children. When a baby or small child is left for long periods to cry and tough it out on their own or left in the crib with nothing to do but eat their crib or play with their poop to try to keep from going crazy, it causes the adrenals to produce cortisol. Cortisol is like adrenaline in the fact that it is intended for short burst to get you out of the path of danger. But a constantly fearful baby or child is constantly pumping out that cortisol which in turn kind of eats away at the organs. A baby is born with only 25% of the brain functioning. It can disrupt the cells that are floating around looking for the right place to land and they don't end up in the right place, thus changing the pattern of the brain. The sad thing is that even parents who love their little ones and do a lot of things right are horribly misguided and believe they are teaching their children to soothe themselves and get on a schedule. That is a schedule of hell for the child and causes a great deal of problems for that child for the rest of their lives".

Any kind of mental disorder such as Bipolar Disorder can get out out of control. One day I was sitting quietly at my computer and she was playing video games then she suddenly got up and said that she wanted to smash something and do I have anything to smash. I replied NO, you've smashed just about everything I have so far. That was not an isolated incident it was one of many. It got to where I just couldn't trust her anymore.

Dude just because she wanted to smash something doesn't make her bad I agree that you are saying your wife is a psychopath for a reason and there might be plenty of evidence to state that she is a psychopath but in any case I will tell you that psychopathy is something which psychologist haven't really taken a grasp of what truly it is.Many world leaders of the past had Psychopathic traits . Media just loves portraying psychopathy as madness but the truth is just as their are good and evil normal persons there are good and evil psychopaths but because of the age we live in Modren Secular and non religious the proportion of Evil psychopaths have increased drastically in comparison with good psychopaths that is because Religion is what plays a very great role in nurishing and making a psychopath good person . Unlike concept of Humanity religion promotes the concept that those who do good will recieve rewards in the afterlife and those who do evil will burn in hell for eternity because of religon Psychopaths have many times acted as leaders,reformers and revolutionalizers of the society their ability to look things logically helps them contribute alot to the society. In shorter terms psychopaths can be villains or heroes of the society or they could just choose to remain neutral
