Since gun is reflected by Tetrakarn, and Tetrakarn reflects all physical attacks, gun can reasonably be classified as a physical attack. I think you should've gone for it! Still, a really incredible run, and I don't know anybody else who would ever attempt anything this insane :)

wait wait wait wait! hold it! in the first video, you listed the rules of this challenge and it stated that one of the rules is "physical attacks only, UNLESS it's impossible to win with physical" if this fight is one that is required to progress the story and your sure you can't win this fight with only physical. with the rules stated you could just play this fight as normal then continue with only physical. but still it's your choice and I have to say, what a madlad for doing this challenge (and if your going to just try and beat the fight with anything you could also make it more challenging by only using the lowest level skills for only this fight)
Wouldn't this fight fall into the "unless it's impossible to win a required battle with just physical" exemption you outlined in part 1? Required fight for progression (unless you do the slot machine exploit), unable to escape, can't do damage via physical, reflect, or ailments. Seems like this would be one of the few times you'd be allowed to use other moves, at least in this particular round of the battle arena, if only to keep the run going. That is assuming you would want to, of course. Not trying to sit here and tell you you're a slave to your audience and need to keep going on this run, but if you want to keep going I feel like this is exactly the scenario you planned the contingency for when you were outlining the rules.
I believe that the main reason this rule was foregone is because someone was stressed and burned out from all of the previous palaces, writing off of that despair, hitting a roadblock like that just completely killed him, especially considering he had built nothing in terms of magic. He was entirely physically leaned aside from forgetting to Jazz Club on 9/4
I enjoyed that this video was mostly memes. Especially liked that intro! I really wished you would've made it even farther, that was one hell of a ride.
I am fairly certain that if it wasn’t the Ragda that ended the run, it would of been Shido Phase 1, since he repels physical and gun. I don’t remember if he uses magic you can reflect though, at least in that phase.
yeah i was hoping there was a way to, since there are status vials, but if there truly is no way to freeze without damaging then slot machine abuse really is the only way to continue
yeah, a shock technical will works its way around phys and gun immunities to the best of my knowledge, though basic attacks come with the risk the shock transfers to the attacker
I wish you great luck beating it on Merciless, because enemies are given more resistances and immunities. Slime in the second jail is immune to both physical types.
I never knew Atlus gave the Rangda's Null Despair in Royal , I remember killing them with Despair in normal Persona 5. Personally I thought the run was gonna end with the Abbadon Miniboss in the Mementos Depths but I also just remembered doesn't the Beast of Human Sacrifices (Shido) also Repel Phys? and even Gun too if you would have used that aswell so I guess it would have ended there.
i think it is just that they are mini bosses and all mini bosses cant be killed via despair. like most mementhos bosses (with few notable exceptions) cant be affected by confusion, therefore only few can be used to grind money in vanilla.
@@Screenments And if you were wondering how would it be possible to beat the first phase in that Shido battle , you just wait for a party member to be recovered from knockdown with charge so you can activate their showtime more frequently(the showtimes actually are affected by charge as well as concentrate) , so keep that in mind if your'e stuck👍
If what other people here have said about the big slot machine in the casino is true, then the run _would_ still be possble...until Shido. Since All-Out Attacks are technically Almighty-type even though they look physical, doesn't this mean that the Megido series should be allowable on the few occasions where Phys-only just isn't an option? (In other words, please un-retire the run even though it's technically not completely possible).
I'm a year late but you could use the curse wall break skill to cancel the resistance curse and completely get rid of the repel effect and will make it a normal non weak element resistance like berith plus it is a persona skill that does not do damage to the target.
You'd still fail at the Rangda part, even with Shinya's MAX confidant. No gun in the game has enough ammo to kill those two I don't think even with Iwai upgrades. Although, it'd probably be fairly close.

True ending of Persona 5 Royal: Akechi runs for president then uses Megidolaon to kill literally everyone
During Sae's Palace, there is a slot machine that you can use to get chips. There is no limit to how many times you can use this machine and once you rig the big one, you cannot actually lose chips at this machine.
So it is possible!

Well, just do a minimum magic attacks run. That’s typically how these challenges work. When it fails you just break the rule a minimum amount.

a technical like shock or freeze completely bypasses phys repelling, the run can continue if there's a way to inflict em without doing damage
