I have completely different assisiations listening to this well known piece of art
Master piece composition of the 20th century 😊
I agree!!!😊
An absolute masterpiece and I've got that tattooed on my tank/armadillo
Greg Lake part of King Crimson and ELP vocal mastery
I totally agree Mat, I am working on my next video "21st Century Schizoid Man" Please subscribe to my channel for updates!
That was great😮.thank you so much from an olde burnout,ELP always found the good place in my head .and the story I remember have been looking for an animated Tarkus I saw decades ago.but have yet to bump into it. thanks again
Glad you enjoyed it!!! Thanks for watching.
Excellent visualization of the classic album. My only complaint is that the full Tarkus music wasn't used. Still, very inspiring, what I definitely would have like to have seen was an AI film based on ELP's Pictures at an Exhibition. I came up with my own visualization of the story based on what the music suggested to me. The Blues Variation made me think of a ship on skis sleighing down a snow covered mountain landscape. It was powered by engines that projected magnetic waves.
Thank you for your feedback, very intrigued with your story for the Pictures album, perhaps we can collaborate soon!
Literally mushrooms in the clouds? Now that's trippy 😮
Well done
Thanks 😊

My youth😍😍😍
Did Keith actually have a comic book concept? I am super curious to know more
Hi Johnny. The story behind this album cover artwork is quite interesting:
It was created by Artist William Neal who was given the project after other artists failed to deliver a suitable cover. At the bottom of one of his drawings, Neal had a doodle of an armadillo with tank tracks, which caught the attention of Keith Emerson. Emerson liked the doodle and wanted it developed into a cartoon story to match a piece of music he was working on, which eventually became the “Tarkus” album.
@@juanjaramillo7962 oh yeah nice, I read that in Keith's autobiography - I was just confused as I thought maybe he actually wrote a comic book or graphic novel. Been a fan since literally 2 years old (saw the Black Moon tour a few ties I was only 7 years old!).
❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks 😊
a little bit of king k in this !!!
Very interesting David, I'd love to hear more, what do you mean by King K?
@@juanjaramillo7962 He might mean King Crimson.
So what happened at the end? Who was the person posing as Francine, or was it really her? Why the cameo from Roman Polanski?
Brilliant! Thank you for engaging with the content to the end. Like songwriters who craft open-ended lyrics, I designed this piece to live on through your interpretations and spark discussions like this one. Your thoughts on the theme, characters, and their motivations enrich the experience and keep the conversation alive. I'm intrigued by your own theories about Francine's true identity-feel free to share your ideas. And keep an eye out; Roman Polanski's sharp pen might just surprise you in my next video!
@@juanjaramillo7962 Oh it seems I mistakenly wrote this comment on the wrong video. I didn't actually watch this one, I watched the Echoes video and meant to write the comment there.
No worries, I knew what you meant!
