I was at Knebworth in 1975 and Floyd played this and every time I here this I am taken back to that green grass park. I/ am now 72.

Same for me, saw them at a very young age without knowing who they were in the 70's, and several shows after that before the breakup, and this is the ONLY band out of all I've seen where I can vividly recall the where/when/who/how of the entire evening in stark detail, just seared into my mind forever by an acid-powered laser.

Да. Но зачем же себя ограничивать 70-ми и 80-ми? Я пользуюсь багажом примерно с конца XVII века (Бах, Вивальди). Без них не было бы ни Pink Floyd, ни King Crimson, ни Muse (спорно, но именно Muse я считаю современными продолжателями пинкфлойда и других великих прог-роковых групп).

We played this, on the way into the church, at my friend's funeral in 1997. We sat & listened to the whole thing, as everyone came in & sat down. There were more than 300 people there. I know that sounds mad, for a young guy, but he did a lot of living in his 22 years & his massive heart, beautiful soul & deep-thinking mind, touched a lot of people - not to mention his heavenly body! He was my brother from another mother. The Priest that had known him all his 22 years, not only made extra seating available, he set up a speaker outside, for those that couldn't fit in - he also gave the best eulogy I have ever heard, in my life. And I've been to too many funerals. There's something ethereal about this track. We used to listen to it in my flat & on our outdoor excursions, all the time. He was indeed, a Crazy Diamond. I go to his grave every year & play songs, clean his headstone, arrange flowers & talk to him. Even when it's chucking it down with rain, I'm there, with my camping chair & umbrella - my umbrella flew off across the cemetery last year in a gust of wind, he must have been laughing his bits off at that, me trying to catch it! Thank you, for this visually & aurally-stunning treat, this is simply superb. Kudos to the creator (I'm not talking about any God!).

Special doesn't touch the sides, he was awesome! I like to hope that; it's such a lovely thing that you said, about a part of him living on in me. I've had friends since that really let me down, all take-take-take. All he ever did, was give. I hope, you've not yet, at least, experienced such a loss. I wasn't close to my mum before she died in 2015, it's rotten to say, but I don't miss her, at all - while, 27 years on, I miss him, still, so much. I dream, he'll be waiting for me, when it's my time, with all the flowers I left for him, on the other side of the veil. Right back at ya: Shine On, You Crazy Diamond! :0)

A tribute to the creator of the band. I remember tripping on acid to this album. Loved Pink Floyd since The Pink Floyd. Named after two British jazz artists. Time is the song I asked my wife to play when they finally put me away eternally!

First time I saw Pink Floyd was at Oakland Coliseum, Thursday April 22, 1988 (momentary Lapse of Reason). It was lightly raining and we were on the top deck all the way in the back. The band looked like the size of ants, but we could view the big screens. Tickets were about $20. I promised if they ever came back I would pay whatever to get better seats. Thursday, April 21st 1994 (Division Bell) they came back, and I was 6th row floor in front of the stage, center section, end seat for $250. I could walk along the entire length of the stage with my hand remaining on the stage while they were playing, as long as I kept moving. I specifically remember David looking into my eyes while he was playing his guitar. Best show ever.

Yeah, hard to remember, back when psychedelics seemed like a brand new boulder to jump off of, into an unknown sea. My first (or second) trip, I rushed on the 3-hour version of "Tales of Brave Ulysses". Watched the whole grand movie...and was floored when it kept going but it was...another song? Mind duly blown.
I ended up in the back yard listening to The Leaf and Breeze Orchestra. Absolutely wonderful.

First time I heard this: I survived Marine Corps bootcamp, went to the PX, saw PINK FLOYD on a tape, bought a tape player, rushed to the airport, got on my plane home, thought to put on the walkman before we took off, the lyrics started as the plan lifted off ... and me ... I was deep where PF wanted me. Home was easy. Finding myself again - was a challenge the PF helped me get to.

I met Gilmour back in 87 when Flord were rehearsing in the hanger behind where I worked . It was during the airshow in Toronto and Dave was walking around looking at the British Harrier parked by the hanger. We talked about planes and music very nice man. Some imagery straight out of Salvador Dali paintings in this video, notably the fabric folds morphing into organic shapes or sharp geometric points forming softer mountain-like rises. The egg shapes, too, recall Dali's fascination with the ovoid form. I suspect Dali would have taken to AI, more readily than some artists, seeing in it the possibilities for surreal experimentation.
Surrealism is a dangerous word in AI business. If you use it, your screen is going to be full of morphing clocks less than 10 seconds. I think I was shooting more Magritte/Serra direction.❤

I haven't been involved with ai videos and the technology behind them for very long.
But what I see there really impresses me. Many, many hours have gone into the generation alone.
But what's really impressive are the many ideas behind it. My greatest respect.
By the way, the song is also a great choice
