Music like this is best describes the current American condition. I always knew Pink Floyd was ahead of their time. While I am not a Roger fan per se but the man read the world very well. And Pink Floyd nailed it with this album, been a fan for years but even more today!
As I sat in Madison Square Garden in July of 75 (Animals Tour) waiting for PF to take the stage, some rowdy folk began throwing M80s from the cheap seats. Thankfully, all detonated before hitting the crowd below. The house lights went on and show stoppage was threatened but, Pink Floyd took the stage, and all was good again. I listened to Dark side of the Moon every single night, for a year! Well one side of it at least! Back in middle school. I've been listening to them ever since, and I'm still not sick of their music!!?

I turned on to Pink Floyd when Meddle came out ....then my senior year In 1972 Dark Side of the Moon was released...it forever changed my love for this super group . I was on Collegre when Wish You Were Here and later Animals was released. Animals is easily one of my favorite albums by them. Pink Floyd never stopped producing killer music during the 70s especially. The Wall was the last of their successful runs ...as The Fimal Cut sealed their fate and led to Waters exiting the band. I'm a Rock n Roll Animal ...for me Jimi Hendrix was the GOAT , then Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. The 3 greatest bands and rperformers of all time. I listen to these 3 everyday ...as they all have a vast library of killer music albums . RIP JIMI & RICK !!! Jam on
This album, sadly, is missed somewhat in the shadow of DSOTM, WYWH, and the Wall. But this is another classic in my opinion. Gilmour's guitar in this is frankly next level. And Mason's drumming is superb, as per usual let's face it. Arguably the world's greatest drummer. Not necessarily fast but man, he carresses those skins.
My 1st Floyd show was the wall in Philly traveling from conn. Being a freshman in high school it was truly amazing!!! Long live pinky just get off them tracks.

Many thanks this is brilliant. Saw them in 1977 when they came to the Anaheim Stadium wow I went with a bunch of chicks. We had a shortage of good looking guys. I needed some help. They were all gorgeous young ladies. It was great. Had a great time many thanks.
Listening to this on my PC, via DTS Sound Unbound and activating 'DTS Headphone:X' in the 'Spatial sound' section of 'Sound properties.' Don't know if YT honours this album's DA, 5.1 or 7.1 3D mumbo jumbo, but it sounds definitely better than 'Disabled' (regular stereo). Maybe it's placebo and it just applies a better equalizer setting...
I was there at the old Tampa stadium with large pink pigs floating around and a fresh batch of mushrooms we had boiled them down to make our favorite cocktail
There was no official recording of the concerts during that time period. Only bootlegs exist unfortunately. Cant believe that PF only professionally recorded themselves TWICE during the 70s. One being the DSOTM at Wembly in 1974, and the other being Live at Pompeii back in 1972.
@@TehDubster You forgot the 1970 KQED TV show from San Francisco. And what about all of the BBC radio recordings in the early 70's? "only TWICE" is highly inaccurate.
when you quantize original tape rerecorded music you remove those tiny imperfections and really on the mark playing that made these such wonderful experiences, you remove the real musicians and replace them with digital order. that's why the same live songs were brilliant some nights and other times some not so, you heard the person playing it. Floyd were the razor's edge between water's cynicism and gilmour's emotional playing-exquisite and also grinding sometimes, to digitize it eliminates the people who played it. if you want to hear this album for real get the original thick unbendable vinyl AND a fifty year old stereo-bliss. this remix is soulless and void, bringing the spoken words on sheep forward and cleaning them is the worst example of many unnecessary moments on here. I love this album, this was heart breaking.

No No absolutely right !! Very heavy Gilmour'd and loving every second !!!!! 🐖🐖🐖🐖
Que no se acabe nunca Pink Floyd
Their music is timeless. As long as there's Pink Floyd fans there's Pink Floyd.
Purtroppo prima o poi dovremo avere la piu' terribile delle notizie. Ed allora la musica finira' per sempre. Lunga vita a David.
😢 ojalá eso no pase 😢 🇦🇷☮️🌈
Jam on
God bless pink floyd! They will never know how much they touched my life! ✌️❤️😄
Acid and Floyd
Hand in hand!
Those were the days!
I saw them on this tour. July 3rd 77' - Madison Square Garden yeah baby!!!
How f'd up did you get?

THANKS FOR SO MANY ACID TRIPS PINK FLOYD I LOVE YA
....no LSD required when listening to Floyd. Does it all by itself.

I'm discovering this video as I wake up. One of my favourite album, a great master piece. The most pleasant thing of the day, for sure! 😻
Usually remixes don't impress me. This is one of the few remixes that I thought was awesome!
One of few rock actis to achieve real trascendance worldwide. Most everyone in planet Earth -maybe even extraterrestrials- know who Pink Floyd is.

My favorite Pink Floyd album, this remix just takes it to another level! Awesome!
U only realise how amazing this album is when u r grinding through life on the hamster wheel slowly aging
Even my two sons love pink Floyd
Many thanks this is brilliant. Saw them in 1977 when they came to the Anaheim Stadium wow I went with a bunch of chicks. We had a shortage of good looking guys. I needed some help. They were all gorgeous young ladies. It was great. Had a great time many thanks.
One of their best. Synchronization at its clearest expression.
One of my favourite Pink Floyd albums yesterday, today, tomorrow 🤘🐷🤘
By far the best Pink Floyd album In my opinion. I listen to it ever day on my work computer. Fantastic!
The Greatest Band in history of music and Live @ Pompeii is the Greatest Gig in the Sky
I love this álbum 🖤
Listening to this on my PC, via DTS Sound Unbound and activating 'DTS Headphone:X' in the 'Spatial sound' section of 'Sound properties.' Don't know if YT honours this album's DA, 5.1 or 7.1 3D mumbo jumbo, but it sounds definitely better than 'Disabled' (regular stereo). Maybe it's placebo and it just applies a better equalizer setting...
BACK WHEN THE FLOYD WORKED TOGETHER THEY WERE SOMETHING TO BEHOLD. ❤
My hometown. Battersea. I grew up there as a kid.
If Beethoven were to listen to this álbum it would be his favorite .
Simply Splendid from across the pond, OMG! it's REAL Luv the shots from the train yard ! OMG !! Thank You 😎💯👀🕺🌹🥨🫖🔥🌀⚡✨🪅🎯💎🎩🎭
This is more than just a song...its a trip!✌️✌️&❤❤ from 🇨🇦. God bless you all!!
How about a live album from 1977? :)!!! The Animals tour was incredible. Animals, Wish You Were Here, and encores from Darkside!!!
Plenty of high sound quality bootlegs available.
I was there at the old Tampa stadium with large pink pigs floating around and a fresh batch of mushrooms we had boiled them down to make our favorite cocktail
@@wassupnomesayin of course. But a high quality soundboard would be great.
Always my favourite album from you guys, I always thought we needed a few more personality types included though :)
+1 pigs on the wings part 2
Love pink floyd
Não se cansa de ouvir !!!
A capacidade criativa dessa banda impressiona !
Foram visionários, e sua obra e composições muito atuais !!
It’s like you took the original tracks and squeegeed the smoke and tar stains off of em. It’s punchy… it’s got depth and personality. Amazing.👏
Masterpiece
Genialny album, dźwięk przeszywa mi łeb na wskroś. Pigs to arcydzieło muzyczne.
when you quantize original tape rerecorded music you remove those tiny imperfections and really on the mark playing that made these such wonderful experiences, you remove the real musicians and replace them with digital order. that's why the same live songs were brilliant some nights and other times some not so, you heard the person playing it.
Maybe they will get it right for the big "Animals 50th Anniversary Remix", coming soon to a download site near you!!! But probably not. ... I suppose once all the PF fans from the 70s have died off and there's no more money (get back!) to be made from this album, they will have moved on.....to the big "The Wall 50th Anniversary Remix"!!! Coming soon to a...
