I have been using this amp live for a year now . I can’t tell you how incredible this amp is without a speaker cabinet, just straight into the powered monitor and out to the front of house from monitor send on my Qsc 12.2 monitor. Three channels gives me a clean channel an amazing rock rhythm channel and an incredible loud lead channel. An amazing effects loop for reverb and or echo . It’s all I need ! This amp sounds incredible with speaker cabinets also but the sound man loves the control he has when I’m not overpowering the stage with sound . There is really no need to bring speakers when the built in impulse response sound incredible ! You can use a different speaker sound for each channel for even more versatility. This amp is the best !!
I realize this is a 4 year old post but I’ve got to say I bought this amp last year and it brought my gear churning to a screeching halt. They Should have called it the “Trifecta”! 3 channels of perfection is what it is. For me it’s not just the exquisite voicing and versatility, the gain channels have this certain “slowly exploding” sort of quality that sounds like a big rumbling full stack even at late night levels. Every other modern amp I’ve owned had at least one deal breaker; either over reliance on diode clipping and sounding sterile and unnatural, or a great crunch channel and clean channel that you couldn’t switch between, over compressed, Weird “gonk” like tones you couldn’t dial out, lifeless low gain tones, or sterile clean with no gain control etc. This amp can do everything under the sun and incredibly well. Oh and did I mention the fantastic vividly clear tube effects loop too? I run vintage lexicon gear in the loop in parallel using and suhr mini mix and into a prs 212 with a 75 and and eminence v12 and I’m set for life with this rig.
I'm getting mine in a couple of months...What's your favorite thing about it and what is your main use for it...I am getting the PT2x12. can't wait for ALL OF THIS to arrive!!!
Well if I had to pick just one thing it would be how killer the low gain range sounds usually high gain amps sound dead and flat when you back the gain way down. With my Les paul I play classic zeppelin…crank the same gain knob up grab a charvel and it’s old dokken and evh tones. And so much more telecaster , Jackson , my old hammer jazz rock guitar no matters what mood I’m in the perfect tone to match the occasion is there. That being said I always advise against trying to dial in “the sound in your head” or trying to clone every single one of your favorite guitar tones that’s a dark rabbit hole. Just Enjoy it!
Thank you so very much for ALL that detailed insight...Really appreciate your time...Love to hear about this kind of stuff and glad you like it as much as you do...I am currently playing through a Mesa Boogie Mark 5 25 combo, Had a Mark 7 but sold that since I fell in love with just about everything Suhr @@mKreifeldt
Your welcome hope like it as I do. Think of it as a studio amp I play it lower volume most of the time and sounds wonderful. I’m not a pedal fanatic but sometimes I do use the boss sd1 subtly to tease out those classic 80s metal tones like loudness etc. that simple pedal in front of a Marshall is a classic combination !
I'm just getting into the pedal world, the SUHR riot mini, Koko boost and koki compressor are all excellent pedals. I also got the shiba reloaded as well... newest pedal that I got is the POD Express, Haven't even had a chance to use it but all the demos I've seen so far have blown me away... BTW, I fucking love Loudness and his tone...@@mKreifeldt
The clean channel is blowing my mind. My Tele sounds like a Tele at last. I haven't really even got to the gain channels yet I am that hooked on channel 1. Thank you. I wish I could show you.
Love the ”Bright & Crunchy.” And I'm not so much a ”Bright” type. But what a pleasant, classic, even tone. I do hope you'll do one dedicated to just the IR. Long list of people I think about tomorrow. You're now one of them. Just wishing you peace of mind. 🙏
Sounds amazing on Ten Years Gone... and everything else too... Thought I'd never buy another amp, but this new rig has got me rethinking that for Suhr!
Benji Nilson Me too. It's always been my favorite Zep song, which is saying a lot. I really think that song is the most underrated song ever. I was fortunate enough to hear Jimmy Page play it live with the Black Crowes. It was amazing
Ten Years Gone. :) Love that tune. Really simple lead part at the end that just repeats, but is really fun to play. That clean channel would do Sultans Of Swing sound well I think.
Thank you Pete for this clean channel demo ! This answered all my concerns about the clean channel of this amp in great detail . Love it ! I am very interested in the amp.
I recently got a new Victory amp and the Suhr Reactive Load IR and both are great but I love that you can assign a different IR for each channel on this. And it's sounds fantastic!
Pepper Thorn Petty Zep... Yay!! Loved the Guitar Nerd track.... gosh... which song is that... Ahhhhggg... can't remember name, but beautiful song man!!!
Pete Thorn hey Pete from Dublin Ireland. love your playing ! Just about to pull the trigger on one of these amps. Would you be able to help out and answer is the clean channel and channel 2 loud enough to gig with at a usual 300/400ish size venue ? Is it also under warranty for Ireland/Europe if purchased from thomann/peaches etc .. I use your PT 100 plugin all the time on on our original music ! Our latest single “it’s not easy “ has your plugin in all the rhythm channels mixed with a victory sherif 44. Check it out. !
I recently sold off a Metroplex (spectacular amp but bigger than I need these days) and I think it's time to give this guy a spin. Also Pete - do you know what pickups are in that blue Suhr Classic?
Now how about a scaled-down, single-channel version of this amp with a mid control? That would be enough for me (still probably out of my price range though)!
ok but what it is for if you have to connect the amp to a cabinet ? just to use IR`s for deferents sounds ? is there a USB out to record direct to the computer ? or direct out to interface ?
Pete, I keep missing these premier things, like I notice it 10 minutes late and it's already done, which kind of sucks. They should send out the notifications 10 minutes or some configurable amount of time before hand. Regardless, that channel sounds fantastic and has so much good, usable range, it's kind of scary. Like fender to Vox on the same channel was really quite incredible. And then it went somewhere else in Marshall land too which is pretty damn stunning and quite a compliment to Mr. Suhr. Off topic a little, I recently stumbled on your video at Suhr party from 2014, ruclips.net/video/mVOaP-6-pkM/видео.html, your tone and playing was just crushing. Do you remember at all what you or the other guitar player was using there? I see custom audio amp there, but not sure how that is playing in, or not, to that equation. Just wondering what your might remember from that. Kind of cool that something you put out there 5 years ago has lasting power and validity, and I hope this youtube stuff persist for another 100 years so that some dummy like me can stumble on it and go "wow" and be happy in that moment and musicality. And that Suhr guitar, you can tell just sounds great and is alive. Still have that one? Thanks as always, Adam.
It's a classic Les Paul 'trick' (used by Jimmy Page himself). You turn the volume of the neck pickup way down so that you get a clean tone, and then the bridge pickup volume is full/near full so that you get a crunch tone, just by changing the pickup selector.
Just wanted to focus on the amp, less on the load and IR's in this vid, to just nail home that it's a great AMP first and foremost, but you can get basically the same sounds with the load/ similar IRs.

that sound with the les paul @4;00 is killer !

Like the Blue Suhr Strat. Very classy looking, sounds great also.
that Zepellin snippet was pure genius.. SHOWOFF! hahaha!
Love the ”Bright & Crunchy.” And I'm not so much a ”Bright” type. But what a pleasant, classic, even tone.

This is something everyone will be seeing more of. Reactive load plus IR's in a tube amp AWESOME!!
Ten years gone is so amazing man....dang
Sounds friggin' fantastic! That Petty tone and Ten Years Gone was legit! Well done!
When your album was released, Homage was my jam and still is
Soul To Squeeze! Love that tune!
Sounds amazing on Ten Years Gone... and everything else too... Thought I'd never buy another amp, but this new rig has got me rethinking that for Suhr!
Man. And that was just the clean channel? I loved the range for Ten Years Gone!
The clean channel alone would be enough :) Crunch tone achieved with the LP is purely awesome!
Sounds amazing. That Led Zep tune in the end is one of the coolest song I've ever heard in my life.
Nice to see Laboga amp in the background. Cheers from Poland !
Sounds like arena projection at bedroom volume, great little amp.
Sparkling clean tone, gains up nicely! That 10 Years Gone though, killer sound... wow
10 Years gone is definitely in my top ten favorite songs of all time
Benji Nilson Me too. It's always been my favorite Zep song, which is saying a lot. I really think that song is the most underrated song ever. I was fortunate enough to hear Jimmy Page play it live with the Black Crowes. It was amazing
Great demo Pete. Sounds killer and must be thrilling and rewarding to present something you helped create. I feel an amp purge approaching.
Quality demo of an excellent clean condition on the suhr amp.The only problem is Pete Thorn makes every thing sound fantastic.
Very excited to hear this amp in all it’s glory. What I’ve heard so far sounds great.
Next Pr100 with all these features plus power amp modeling on direct out Pete!
Very well done. You have shown what to expect from this amp for the clean channel.
What a powerhouse of an amp! killer tones and demo can't wait to hear the other channels great job Pete!
Suhr is an amazing product all around I love the tone of there guitars and amps there just fantastic great video as always
Ten Years Gone. :)
Love that tune.
That Burstbucker axe is amazing. Well done Pete!!
You should do a full tone comparison with the original PT100 SE! I’m getting one of them for sure!
This man is good.
These amps pretty sick, I've been telling loads of my customers about them as it solves so many live performance issues, cheers Pete
Wow, Pete - your amp sounds SOOOO good!
Man Pete, you guys really nailed it with this thing.
Thanks man!!
Man, that really sounds amazing! Congrats and a great amp, brother!
What a little beast! That sounds fantastic, Pete.
Woah...the edge of breakup sounds great. Somewhat similar to the Bella...but definitely it's own thing. Already pre-ordered...
I recently got a new Victory amp and the Suhr Reactive Load IR and both are great but I love that you can assign a different IR for each channel on this. And it's sounds fantastic!
thanks!
That amp rocks! So do you Pete.
Wonderful Demo. I should have waited for this amp! BTW, Thank you for your Korea Town Tee!
So Awesome! I have to get one, with the cab!!
Last dance with Mary Jane! Nice!
Love the normal version. Can’t wait to get this one also. Great vid. Great amp
That new guit is a great blue.
That Zep crunch riff was tasty.
Another great sounding Head Pete...
Great song choices, dig that amp...
Pepper Thorn Petty Zep... Yay!! Loved the Guitar Nerd track.... gosh... which song is that... Ahhhhggg... can't remember name, but beautiful song man!!!
Hi Pete, thank you for that demonstration. I would like to listen to the clean channel with the built-in IR´s.
Ive never got to play suhrs stuff yet , im in canada and we dont see alot of his stuff, really really impressive mañ
Just so you know, Pete, Soul to Squeeze will sell me any piece of gear... Amp sounds amazing.
Sounds like it would take pedals very well 🤘🏽 nice work Sir ...and Suhr as it were
Tremendous Pete thorn great play.
Sounds great.
Clean channel sounds good. What’s the wattage on this thing?
can't wait for it to be out, and that guitar looks pretty awesome in blue =)
Was that the gil yarn at the end? The bridge pickup was heaven

Yessir full warranty and I find the amp has plenty of headroom. Of course depends on your drummer, your guitars, how loud you like to play etc!
Pete Thorn ok thanks mate
I recently sold off a Metroplex (spectacular amp but bigger than I need these days) and I think it's time to give this guy a spin. Also Pete - do you know what pickups are in that blue Suhr Classic?
Would love to see a similar analysis of the dirty channel, just how high gain can it get.
this sound clean is so sweet. waiting for 2-3 channel and going to the bank lol
Good grief!!! I WAS happy with my current rig. Now.... thanks a lot...
I'm with you bro'.. Mr Suhr and Mr Thorn are not making it easy on me.. LOL!
It will never end
YOU sound great!!!!
Tones sounded phenomenal! When micing a cab, do you usually use a 57 and 170 combo?
Ya ribbon and a dynamic usually!
How does the clean compare to the Bella?
I’ll have to own this one
And my favorite chili peppers song. Awesome vid
I remember you said you were going to change the neck on the suhr strat. How the headstock is going to look:)? Hybrid or standard?
I’ll probably go standard, with a 60’s C standard and 9-12 radius, on this particular guitar
So good!
Awesome amp concept. I'd love to see a one-channel version of this amp in the future ... or more specifically the price of the one channel version ;)
The Frusciante vibe is strong in the first and third track.
Pete you rock! 🤘
Very impressive!.
Pricing info yet? This is such an ideal amp for home studio peeps like me
Matthew Garwood I think they are around 2,700.00.
very good design very good sounds very good playinggg :F wishing to own one
Well... that was fantastic! Is there a channel with high headroom also?
Its all in the settings of the amp.
Sounds like Pete!

That sounds ***goood***! :)
thanxx, nice guitars head
So would you say channel one is like a blackface or more a vox .. I want chimey two rock sounds can I get that here?
Any chance of a pt15 combo?
Very nice! Can it do a powerful 80s style rock sound?
Oh yeah! That's ch2/3!
Finally!
A cork sniffer that can play! A rare combination. Haha. Just kidding man.
Pete's a legend. Only downside is that he makes everything sound fantastic. Nice to see the GY SC again, Pete.
Damn Pete, sounds awesome!! Did you get a c claim for Ten Years Gone? \m/
What's that srat you're playing Pete, been on the suhr website but can't seem to find it?
It's an older Suhr Classic S

Yep I'm just switching pickups! this is all CH1 on the amp
Want!
I wish that same video had used the reactive load and built in IRs.
Just wanted to focus on the amp, less on the load and IR's in this vid, to just nail home that it's a great AMP first and foremost, but you can get basically the same sounds with the load/ similar IRs.

Hi ...👏👏👏🎸
Ten years gone........
Awesome gear but that head cost the same as my car.
