it's good to see that people still care about jaguars
Hi Peter - They (Jaguars) are well and truly in our blood now and we pamper them at every opportunity.
Thanks for your comments and for watching.

Compared to a ten year old MGB those sills are mint .
That's pretty good for Jaguar sills! Normally way way rustler than that! Not unusable to be able to fit hand up inside the holes rusted in them. Good job they pretty cheap and easy to replace. Easy to remove the old ones as they almost self remove before you start work! £150 a side to have new sills fitted to an X type. S type a bit more but still very reasonable to have done.
Thank you very much for your video, it is very help full!
Just about to get the sills done on my 04 S type. Still undecided on what kind of welder to go to to keep the price down.
Do the S-type's of the same era have the same sill rot problem as the X-type???
If only Jag X and S type sills were as reliable as your Stanley screwdriver. That screwdriver model must be 30 years old !!! :)
Hi Peter,
You're absolutely right, Lol!
In fact the blue "stubby" Pozi pre dates the Red long flat blade which is 30 years old and still going strong. Good old Stanley!
I think I would use old oil and spray inside the sill ,, and spray on grease outside the sill,,and leave standing for a few days..
hi, the scrifits on mine just turn round and wont unscrew , wht do you reckon?
+derek latham
Pull the plastic sill skirt downwards from the door sill "pinch weld" side and adjacent to each scrivet. This will release them enough to get a pair of long nose pliers in the recess to "yank" them out. Just be patient and ease each one out. They are not really suitable for re-use once they have been removed. We got replacements on Ebay. Sorry can't find the link. However do a search on Google for this Jaguar part number and you should be able to locate them. C2S9354
Good luck and thanks for your interest.
ok, thanks for the reply, i'll give it a go
First of all thank you very much for the amazing videos you have been uploading and for the advices, thanks a lot.
I have a Jag S Type 2005 Diesel, a side mirror relocate itself every time I switch off the car, any advice please and the other problem I'm having is its blow hot even AC on, I have replaced converter and re-gas it still no luck any advise please?
Hi - I'm not sure what you mean about your side mirror. Could you provide more information and I will see what I can do to advise you.
The problem you are having with your AC is most likely a fault with the dual climate control valve and/or climate control module in the dashboard. As you will appreciate it is difficult to diagnose faults remotely so I suggest you have a look at the following web site which will provide more information. jaguarclimatecontrol.com/
@Jag TV Thank you very much for your swift response, it is the passenger side door mirror repositioning itself every time I unlock the car, hence everytime I have to adjust it before driving.
@@saazmath Hi Samoon - I will have a look and get back to you.
@@saazmath Hi Samoon - I suggest first that you perform a hard reset on the electronics by disconnecting the battery (Negative Terminal) for 30 seconds and then reconnect. this may reset the "Drivers Door Electronic Module" which controls the mirror positions. You will need to reset the radio code and you will need to reset the electric windows. For each window - wind to top of travel and hold switch down for 2 seconds and then release.
Hello can someone please tell me where i can find the beeper from the parking assistant.
