Great video my man,I've always wanted a WW2 1911a1 good find.Ive built 1911s with a buddy back in the 80s hand fit every part.If that was my pistol I would replace all the springs before I shot it.
You should also look into getting the Tisas-Zagana 45ACP 1911A1 GOVERNMENT in OD green it is a new copy of Browning's WW2 pistol, it is really nice. Very affordable price.
You will love shooting it. I have a 1913 manufactured date and it is my favorite gun to shoot, not that I shoot it a lot. Better trigger than my Remington R1911
Did you remove the firing pin stop plate to confirm the slide serial number matches the frame serial number? WW2 Colt slides have serial numbers. Having a matching one would be great. Don’t think you can get a matching one from CMP without paying bucks.
Colt stopped putting serial numbers on the slides of WW2 1911a1s around serial number 1139XXX. So it wouldn't have it. Best way to tell after that is to match up the wear marks between the barrel and slide and frame.
Bonita pistola,Chelo Gonzalez yo tengo una Remington Randall 1911A1 hecha en 1945 como llegó a México no lo se, pero está en mi familia desde antes que yo naciera, es una joya igual que esa Colt un saludo Chelo

Very nice! I'd love to have one day with its history
Don't get it blued like most people they end up ruining it's authenticity" I would leave it like it is with the parkerization finish .

Was handed down my father's 1911, circa 1922! He carried it in the 1950s where he was stationed in Turkey. Shoots awesome!
Wow that’s awesome to know exactly where it came from and the fact that your daddy carried it!! That’s incredible!! Id love to see it

Import mark? Not a "duffle bag gun." Probably imported within the last 20 years. Still a nice pistol.
