My wife was going to have surgery for carpal tunnel 20 years ago. A few days before the surgery a friend suggested that we reschedule the surgery and try vitamin B6, so we did. I've suffered from a variety of health problems, the biggest being type 2 diabetes. I went on the carnivore diet and that helped tremendously. Your videos provide me with the details that have broadened the beneficial effects that this diet initially provided. You provided the knowledge I needed to figure out the areas that I was deficient. Since following much of your advice, I am no longer diabetic, have rid myself of arthritis, have lost almost 100 pounds, no longer need my CPAP machine, enjoy normal blood pressure, have increased cognitive function, and my peripheral neuropathy is slowly but surely going away. And, I no longer need any of the medications my doctor prescribed for me. The initial attempt at decreasing the effects of diabetes has uncovered a list of pleasant surprises, most of those from following your advice that provided the fine tuning details I needed. Thanks for the great videos!

In 1993 I was diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome AND carpal tunnel syndrome. I took 60mg a day of vit B6 and within a week I was better; 3 weeks later no issues at all.
I had CPS and a couple of trigger fingers (locking knuckles) a few years ago. I tried every suggestion over a 6 month period to no avail. I considered having surgery until I heard about B6 and decided give it a try. After a few weeks my hands were completely healed and still feel great. There may be more to B6 than just relieving pain. I think it acts as an anti inflammatory and the pain relief is a result of that. I still take it as a preventative.
@@ed1927 Hi, at first I was taking between 200 & 300 mg of (P5P B6) per day and noticed much improvement after a couple weeks, then gradually reduced my dosage to 100 mg per day. Now I take 25 - 50 mg per day. John M Ellis wrote a book on it called Vitamin B6 Therapy. It's out of print but I was able to find a used copy.
amazing! Last night while doing yoga felt pain on my wrist all night and morning, couldn't sleep or lift anything with my left hand. I massaged my right arm muscles as indicated and got immediate relief!!! after 2 minutes I could type again and lift glasses and small objects! I will definetely go ahead and get some B6! Thank you so much!!!!!!
Back in the mid 80’s I lived in wrist braces trying to function at work and in an attempt to get a restful night’s sleep. After 3 years of struggling to control my symptoms my family physician told me that surgery was my only option. Without insurance I couldn’t even consider it. Luckily I stumbled across a magazine article that described the benefits of vitamin B6. I ran to the drugstore immediately and began taking 50 mg per day. Within 3 weeks I was symptom free.
Ah yes !!! As one of my Lyme disease side effects I had a shoulder infection that started next to the shoulder blade and would then become worse and migrate to the arm and eventually, the hand (numb index finger and thumb). I remembered having read that vitamin B complex would be advantageous for Lyme patients. On day one of me taking a vitamin B complex, the symptoms disappeared completely. I needed to stay on them though to stay symptom free. Later, after a misfire with herbal medicine seriously damaged my gut, this no longer worked. Luckily, I stumbled across medicinal mushrooms looking for a natural way to reduce inflammation. These have helped me ever since in the same way that the vitamin B complex had helped me earlier. So I concur - great advice :-)
Thanks Dr Berg, I’m sitting here with two splints on each of my wrists, so I’m going to do this. I’ve got the zinc but not the B6 yet. I’ll keep you posted.

I had carpel tunnel with my both hands, I thought this is normal , because I was making a lot of bread with them. Until one day my doctor gave me some B6 for my skin issue, after a while I didn’t feel the pain on my wrist anymore. I didn’t know why till I saw this video , then I know that they are related. Thank you Dr.Berg
B6 and no more gastro problems and pain in my stomach... Strange but very true... Nothing could help me anymore, 3 months constant pain and not eating good because of that, no other stomach pills could help anymore etc... I'm happy that I tried this healthy vitamin B6 and after the first 2 pills it took me about whole 15 seconds for the pain to go away, imagine lol... I'm constantly using small amounts of B6 every day... 10mg constantly or 20mg when I feel I need to..
It is important to stop doing what is causing the carpal tunnel symptoms first. I didn’t quit my job, just modified how I was doing it. Then I would choose a B complex vitamin to take. Word of caution! I heard years ago concerning the B vitamins, you should always take a balanced B complex, and not any one B vitamin separately. In an earlier video, I believe you also recommended B6 for tendonitis. Within a few days of taking it, I developed a severe sun sensitivity, and developed a raised rash with even just a 10 min exposure. I researched online and sure enough, it indeed causes sun sensitivity. When I quit taking B6, I was no longer sun sensitive. I love your videos, just wanted to give my experience.
@@jpval3484 no one is saying that B vitamins are bad. Just taking B6 by itself can be bad, without a balanced blend of all the B vitamins together. It was explained to me years ago, that taking only one of the B vitamins, creates a deficiency in the other B vitamins. That's why you need a B complex with ALL the B vitamins in a balanced blend. Hope that makes sense.

P5P is good stuff. I had read that B-6 helped carpal tunnel syndrome way too late. I had major Carpal Tunnel and Cubital Tunnel problems over 20 years ago. Had surgery and it took about 18 months for my hand to stop involuntarily opening post surgery. I’ve been a professional drummer for 45 years and have been having pain and numbness in my hands for a number of years. Recently it has gotten really painful in my right hand and have been going for ART ( active release therapy)from a local chiropractor for a couple of weeks which has been helping a bit but with me still having to play gigs it’s doesn’t help. I recently saw this video and I’m going now to the health food store to get the B-6 and Zinc you recommended. I have lot of success full stories of ur Medication even me used ur type treatment i have done in past times what u said is right its works well thanks for brief explanations for clear evidence thanks doctor.
I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and if my medication is too low (NDT), carpal tunnel is one of the first symptoms to return. So if you have carpel tunnel, get your thyroid checked by a reputable doctor.
With me I get best results from 60% red meat, 30% poultry, and 10% fish. I would eat more fish but it's fish. And almost ALWAYS grilled or smoked! I even found out how to air fry/grill/smoke wings on the grill. lol
Intermittent fasting or general fasting results in muscle wastage. Muscle wastage is a massive indicator of aging and ill health. Unless someone is able to easily build muscle again (ie stregth training, mobile, active, able bodied etc) then fasting is not an ideal frequent solution fyi. I know keto and fasting are trendy but the studies are clear about muscle wasting. This applies to veganism and vegatarianism too. They all age you and negatively impact your health. The best diet is to eat meat and animal products in moderation in the evenings by dim lighting so you convert the tryptophan to melatonin and sleep well. Sleep is where your healing and repair happens. Just thought I would share as few people have read up about muscle wasting before they start diets.
Massage, acupuncture acupressure, are helpful. But too many people just need to stretch their wrists and neck. Repetitive stress disorder will lead to carpal tunnel syndrome

@Dr. Eric Berg DC - Does that mean B6 would be helpful for degenerative disc disease? I put nutritional yeast on my vegetables. Is there, perhaps, a list? I currently a few anti-inflammatory herbs, vitamins and minerals (like a magnesium complex, and adding vitamin D to my last meal-from a recent video-seemed to help), but a list would be cool.

Thanks for this video. Last year I was diagnosed with cubital tunnel syndrome, carpal tunnel syndrome, dupuytren's contracture and arthritis in the left arm and hand, and carpal tunnel and arthritis in my right. Of course surgery was suggested from my left elbow to wrist to little finger. I have avoided surgery but nothing is getting any better. My question is do you have a similar treatment for cubital tunnel syndrome?
I had CTS in 1980, before the CTS was discovered/recognized. I suffered through it for a few years, after seeing multiple doctors to no avail, it finally got better. Dr. Berg's advice is very good, but at some point many CTS sufferers will need some type of "Carpal Tunnel Release" surgery. For most it's a simple outpatient procedure to release the pressure on the nerve. Many patients wait too long before having surgery and end up with permanent nerve and also suffer needlessly.
I had the surgery. Worst decision. I got it early, but I should have tried PT first. It's really been a nightmare. It NEVER hurt before, now it's constant pain, It's been eleven years since surgery, and years of PT could never gain back my strength or coordination in that hand. Wish I'd known about Dr Berg.

I have lot of success full stories of ur
Medication even me used ur type treatment i have done in past times what u said is right its works well thanks for brief explanations for clear evidence thanks doctor.
I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and if my medication is too low (NDT), carpal tunnel is one of the first symptoms to return. So if you have carpel tunnel, get your thyroid checked by a reputable doctor.
I am 58. In general, when I stay carnivore, I have no joint pain. Any time I add sugars ( bread, pasta, etc) my body starts to ache.
That sounds totally familiar. Are you doing intermittent fasting too ? Makes a huge difference for me as well.
@@justforthehackofit yes!! That makes the biggest difference!!! When I fast for 24- 48 hrs I feel FANTASTIC!!!
With me I get best results from 60% red meat, 30% poultry, and 10% fish. I would eat more fish but it's fish. And almost ALWAYS grilled or smoked! I even found out how to air fry/grill/smoke wings on the grill. lol
Agreed
Also adjust the neck, carpal tunnel starts in the neck
Interesting. Thanks!
@Raw Wood Gifts no worries my friend
I just started B6 (P5P) yesterday to try to cure my trigger finger in both hands that I've been suffering with for 2 years.
How's it going--- did the p5p work for ur trigger finger? I scheduled surgery, but want to cancel
@@925sterling3 Unfortunately not. It had zero effect, which sucks because I had high hopes after all the testimonies I read.
Doc you are one true super life saver!!
Thank you very much. Appreciate your comment.
Thank you, so much your advice.
I am going to try,. Asap. 😊
Thank you Dr berg 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You are very welcome
🤦♀️. Yesterday i bought my first pyridoxine-hcl🤷♀️. Thx 4 sharing💯✌
That is the toxic form of B6
Thank you so much :-) incredible and so helpful!
You're most welcome!
The recommended dose on this video is dangerously high and could cause a severe damage, such as Pyridoxine Neuropathy.
Thank You Doctor Eric Berg 🙏🙏
You're most welcome.
Amazing information! 👍🏼
Thank you!
Massage, acupuncture acupressure, are helpful. But too many people just need to stretch their wrists and neck. Repetitive stress disorder will lead to carpal tunnel syndrome
Nice info doc ..thanks so much.
Very glad to be of help.
Thank you Dr B, Great info' : )
Glad you found it useful!
Good morning Dr Berg. I haven't getting my period for a while and my Dr checked everything, he did not find anything. I follow your advice I eat organic healthy food. What can I do naturally to get my period back? Thank you very much helping so many us to live healthy life.
If I eat carbs I wake up with stiff wrists. Also wheat makes my scalp scaly. Keto has improved my life but sometimes I try wheat. I always regret it.
Excellent. Thank you.
Please make a video on cubical tunnel syndrome
Thank you for the video suggestion. I will check with Dr. Berg about doing a video on this!

Works !!! I do 500 mg time release . Only thing that works . I take it 3-5 days a week for tennis elbow
I was starting to have carpal tunnel all i did was quit PC gaming been gaming since 5 so i got bored
Gaming is not the cause of those symtoms lol its most likely the shitty diet and sodas you had along with gaming
@@TheJimmyswe150 I don't really like soda nor do i eat junk foods btw im not american, you should be aware of RSI or repetitive strain injury. I was too bored to play games that's why i quit, Maybe you're a man child still playing games at your age that's why you got hurt by my comment?
@@jpval3484 yeah man youre probably right, i guess you are right :)
@@jpval3484 but i know for a fact that you dont get carpel tunnel from gaming, thats a straight Up lie and you know this, and yeah im 27 years old with No life No job and i sit home 24/7
Thanks Dr Burg

I've been doing the massaging and it seems to be helping, so now ill try adding in the B6 and Zinc. Maybe get rid of it all together

Dont know why cant see screen but will tell daughter who suffers terribly
Hi. Thank you for your videos. The content you provide has helped me figure out different things and understand symptoms. Thank you!
Very glad to be of help.
Some of the reasons for it are the practice of some daily habits, such as:
The jobs that require a lot of hands, such as: factory workers and office jobs that rely heavily on the use of computers.
Lifestyle such as: smoking, excessive salt intake, and lack of movement ..

You are welcome 🙏
B6 and zinc stopped my Morton’s neuroma pain in my foot! Hope this helps someone.
i had carpel tunnel and famous lakers doctors in los angeles , he cut the joint to lessen the tightness it worked both hands
Easiest exercise is 2 gesture da # 4
Very kwool vitamins and minerals thx Dr. You also are very KWOOL i can watch you all day long 😀 😉 👏👍🫡👍👍
So many conflicting comments re Vitamin B6. I like Dr Berg but not sure what is best.
Ive never met a case of carpal tunnel that i could not correct with soft tissue therapy.
What’s it consist of
Most of recommendations I see say to not take over 100Mg of B6, but he is recommending 200Mg. Is it safe to take this much B6?
Thanks
So B6 is helpful for CTS because it helps the sufferer NOT feel it? Should we say then that it acts on CTS symptoms but NOT on actual CTS?
Thanks for this but the audio is really tinny low quality
Hi Dr.Berg & staff! I'm having a hard time finding the pyridoxal 5 phosphate. Yes B6 is everywhere But the compound Dr. Berg speaks of is not in alot of them. I see alot that are pyridoxal phosphate, or just pyridoxal HCI. Is there a brand you would recommend? I found some but not at 100mg. Also, I found 1 brand on Amazon but I'm afraid to order since some reveiws say it's not the genuine compound...
Good Morning Dr.Berg 🌞
Thank you , So very much for great advice and information ! May God always take good care of you , God Bless and protect all of you ❤ 🕊

Good morning, I suffer from this every single day I used to work in an office as a HR and payroll but because I suffer from liver cirrhosis imagine what I have to go through I can’t even cut because of pain on my hands and feeling my hands and nerves hurt so I don’t know what to do, when I ask my Dr on blood test for vitamins the answer I get is don’t worry you’re fine what is important is your liver but Imagine all illnesses that may come not counting all the ones I have. My faith is what keeps me going but I really feel miserable please tell me what I can do. Thank you 🙏
Thanks for this video.
Dr. Berg doesn't have a video on this, but thanks for the suggestion for an upcoming video.

Sir can you please describe vit B complex in short but meaning is broad.(please).
Man, every time I eat beans. Like, once every six months. I eat beans, and go through this
Hi Doctor, on Vitamin b 6 says take 1 tablet daily, in your video you mention twice a day, so should i take 2 times?
Thank tou
Does this also work for wrist pain? The acupressure point and b6?
Please let us know if you have any suggestions on how to treat a trigger finger. I have one on my right ring finger. Thank you!
A doc talked my into having surgery for a trigger finger. It ruined my hand. I'd try what he suggests for CT. Hope it works for you!!
@@chinookvalley Thank you for message. I want to avoid surgery for sure. I will try the carpal tunnel technique Dr. B shows. Thanks again!

What about cubicle tunnel in the inside elbow the same principles?
Gracias👍
Hi, I was taking 3 6 9 all in one but, some doctors say that it not good....why isn't these doctors... Are all on the same page....I know they say never say never...but, I am suffering with both arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome
I know this is off topic but I was wondering if lemon in water, spearmint tea and pickle juice is okay to drink while fasting?
Yes, it's fine.
If you are on a water fast then no... Simple really 😉
@@Drberg Thank you Dr. Berg for answering my question. I appreciate you so much.
I have a zinc deficiency…Which form of zinc should I take to assist the B6???
Dr Berg could you please help me, 🙏 .. I have pain in right shoulder blade, pain in my right hand index finger, pain and uncomfortable in right toe.. is there any reason all on right side?
I've developed it in pregnancy, not sure if it's safe to take the B6... does anyone know?
No gastro problem but still wrist pain
DrBerg, I have struggled with carpaltunnel in my previous pregnancys. Should I take B6 preventive this pregnancy or should I wait until I get it? I assume I will get it this time also.
I know this is a different subject but I would really like to know what you think about Hyalaronic acid for joints
My husband's has just gotten worse and worse. He wakes up with his hands numb but in just horrid pain. Idk what to do for him so I am researching.
Try coconut water
