You can't deny the benefit of having a 17" screen when gaming or multi-tasking, this is a great desktop replacement laptop for that reason alone. I found the speakers to be quite good from my experience, there's the Nahimic Companion which can enhance the sound quality. Coming from a Macbook, I am used to high quality sound so I was quite impressed with this laptop. As for the fan noise, it's still better than having to deal with a giant desktop tower.
Hi Mark. Is it good for graphics/render programs or only gaming?

Picked this up at a discounted price. What it lacks for extra USB and hdmi ports it makes up for in sheer horsepower. This is a lean and powerful little machine that I am quite happy with. The track pad doesn't even register for me as I use a mouse
Hi what are the temperatures at. I am looking to buy the same laptop but I'm sceptical of the temperatures... maybe that's why it's soo much cheaper than other laptops with same specs?
@@lyubomir1202 will have to check; obviously if you're playing Cyberpunk at psycho settings the temp will reach higher; offset it with a good cooling pad and its fine. honestly it's a solid performer and still running great for me.
@@tboon9399 no matter.. thanks for responding I've decided to get a custom pc... i7 12700k rtx gpu 3060ti, ssd 7000mb, ram 32gb 5600mhz.. already got my 360hz monitor for 270pounds anyways..
I've decided that money goes better towards pc,much more benefits. and I have a window to upgrade to 3080ti I'll buy it later on if needed outside of the pc with cooling for it..
I give pretty much the same money just the peripherals and 360hz monitor cost me extra.

I had this laptop it was great. Last longer then most gaming laptops sure the fan is a bit loud but that's because I was using the dragon center of fan speed. Plus the gaming on it was great pushed harder then even my buddies 3grand gaming desk top

Thank you for detailed and quite tech smart review. I can not find good laptop below 3000 EUR and even getting some kind of pricey, still leaving me with something not ok, like web cam or not enough Hard disk or not perfect processor for that price and so on. I believe industry is orientated for their own competition with other companies or models (i check all of those names from Dell, Acer and so on) but not to really please or surprise end buyer. This is very sad and i believe I have been objective here, doing research mostly in EU but other parts of word shows same thing based on reviews on RUclips or online sources. Also i do not think that alternative buying Tower case (it will not be much cheaper for great specs) or buying laptop over 4000 EUR which is insane, which will even last at least 5 years or more for that investment.
Thanks for watching and the positive feedback! I do agree, with this price range there's always something being compromised on in order to get it to that target. It makes buying a notebook very challenging. I also don't think these notebooks have a life span of 5 years.

The only bad thing of gaming Laptops is Fan noise
I bought this for gaming while chilling on the couch and I just use a headset and set the volume to low while I'm watching tv. I never hear the fans kick on. It. Really comes down to what you're willing to do to compensate for the noise and how much you're willing to pay. I don't regret buying this laptop. I'd buy it again if it came on sale (I bought it 30% off during a holiday sale). Worth every penny. Someone said no disk drive no but..... Who uses disks anymore?
It is a laptop! if you want to last longer, better have huge nice cool fans! That is advantage for laptops, not bad thing!
I play with head phones so it's never bothered me

Hi hope you good, so I use the laptop for work and I cant seem to get rid of the fan's sound in my Zoom meetings? Can you suggest how to fix this?
Welcome to my world, I was considering switching my Omen work 17 by this one as I also have that fan problem with an HP one, so after this review I decided to stay still and keep my actual one. On my Hp I did everything I could, bios updates, tuning, etc. the fans seem to work almost all the time.
Why not turn the fans down?

@@pedrofidalgo8138 well not really joking but it truly depends on the temperature. A Zoom meeting shouldn't be very GPU demanding and business document processing is even less.

It often just ran tbh. Try to enable Silent Mode in the control centre.
@@GLITCHEDZA Am currently watching youtube on a GL76-UGK with noticable fan noise. Unfortunately, I've been having issues with the control centre, it couldn't update all the applications and seemed to refuse to allow anything to run until everything was up to date.

I just bought this laptop. I'm not a gamer. I just had my "expensive" ASUS destroy itself because of an over-heating graphics card; so I thought I would try MSI. I wish I had NOT bought this thing! It seems like everything (especially function keys and related "controls") is completely different to what I'm used to. I can't seem to adjust anything! That instruction manual is a JOKE! Adjusting something as simple as back-lighting for the keyboard is frustrating! It appears I only have two speeds for the fan control -- too low for one, and noisy as hell on the other! The "last straw" for me was trying to register this product on the MSI web site. I am very serious when I say that I have literally tried over a dozen times to register this thing. I am told that some other account has my email address; I am told I have the wrong password; when I request a new password change, I am now told we need you to enter your old password. If I forgot it (actually never had one), how the hell am I expected to enter an "old" password? So far my ENTIRE experience with them is NEGATIVE!
How is your experience going with this laptop nowadays? Is it still as frustrating as it was a month ago or is it better now?
