Great review. Was debating on getting this laptop, but with most of the IO ports being on the right it was a huge turn off.
I returned mine, the chassis is very cheap looking and basic. Considering the size, it doesn’t have a large number of ports either. It also gets very loud very quickly.

My i7-11800h+3060 It doesn't support Dragon center for me. And it gets hot very fast compared to my rog Ryzen 9 + 3060.
Hi Sir, I need Answer bout MSI pulse GL66 rtx 3060. I bought brand new, but problem is this the main center of the key board is heatup. What is the problem can you please explain Please. I never start any software yet but the key ( 6,7,8,T,Y,U,I,FGHJK) that area going to heatup. kindly if any problems then I will return to concerned distributor where I buy this Machine.

im using GF63 1050ti looking for upgrade but the design is a bit disappointment.
Are the thermals good? I have seen the review of gl66 on laptopmedia and the Temperature was too high (i think they had a bad unit)
i have a gl66 with a rtx 3060 and i7 11800h and the tempratures are very high idling is like 50c and with cooler boost {7000rmp} and it still sometiumes hit 90 degrees
What's better GL66 OR GL76
Why does the screen look bluish?

My GE62 6RF is getting a bit too old so i think GL76 or GL66 will be a good replacement.
Bought a GL66 Pulse and less than 6 months and the fans are already going. These things are hard to keep cool while playing games.
Might be a weird question but as i am a university student i intend to use the laptop for both Gaming and general use for school i.e Word Documents, Emails etc. Does it come pre-installed with Microsoft word, powerpoint etc.? This is an odd question and i obviously assume so. But i just want to confirm before i order it.
Usually they come with 1 month trial of office 365. Only windows license is built into bios.
Question: On SSD Upgrade (2.5 Inch) do you see the bracket inside?
I cant find the BRACKET / Caddy for SSD 2.5 upgrade inside, its so frustrating.. the SSD cannot hold
i called the customer care they said you need to buy the bracket separately
@@sandosimbolon6993 Exactly!, it cost $50 USD for just metal bracket... + $15 service.
I ended up went to LOCAL workshop in Indonesia to Create the same model, its just cost me $5...
@@christang9406 what? thats expensive. you should buy it online haha. and also the customer service said that the installation fee is free if you bring it to the authorized store.
@@sandosimbolon6993 Yes the "Free Authorized" service was unreliable, they simply put 2 screwdriver with pre-cut foam onto it to JUST hold the SSD, which very dangerous & quickest cheapest unprofessional way to do

This laptop have good build quality but RTX 3060 have low power TDP or Max-Q design.
It has 90 watt 3060, it is less than 115 w in desktop variant, but it is enough for laptop one. On some other laptops I've seen it is limited to 65 watt - that's I consider Max-Q :)
На будущее, лучше указывай полное наименования ноутбука, так как MS GL76 Pulse имеет разные конфигурации, у меня например i7-12700H на 14 ядер
What about temperatures? Is it hot?
I have the 66 and out of the box was a bit hot and noisy. Was around mid 80s cpu any given check and spiked to 95 often on cpu and about 70s gpu.. After undervolting the cpu a bit I managed to cool the cpu to mid 60s with rare spikes to upper 80s. Gpu hovers around 65 now even w 150mhz boost to gpu/memory. Overall gained about 15% in timespy with the changes. It is VERY dependent on cooling. It’s a loud but good laptop and I’m happy with mine.
It is not hot, comparing to other gaming laptops, but if you compare to regular laptops, than yes, it is.

Internet says 11 gen is locked from undervolt completely, abd I believed, so I haven't even checked. ((
@@MaxKlax yes 11th gen. I had to enable in the bios before I could undervolt w Throttlestop.
@@MaxKlax I should probably also mention this option is hidden in the bios so you have to get into the bios by tapping DEL key, then once loaded hit Right-Shift + Right CTRL + Left ALT + F2 on the main bios screen and you'll see new options appear. go to the advanced tab and look for the overclocking section about halfway down. then enable overclocking. it'll work then. Must hit those keys with the laptop keyboard though and not an external keyboard. And you'll likely have to do that every time you upgrade the BIOS too.

Does this laptop have a mux switch ?
There is an option to use nvidia GPU only (requires reboot) is it considered as MUX switch?
Anyway it is MSI laptop, so it should be there
