    Hello guys! Sorry for the late upload, it's been a very busy day and I didn't get back home not too long ago. Also, I forgot to add it in the edit, but around 15:05 I made a comment about putting the power down better - at that point it slipped my mind that the R has wider tyres, which will of course give better traction.

    That was fun! What people didn’t see at the end is me rolling on the floor laughing when you said “it really comes down to 1 or 2cms”… had me in stitches so I have no idea how you managed to not be distracted by me laughing 😂

    Funny that I just discovered your videos, after buying, less than a month ago, a 2012 Cupra R in Tribu yellow. Really pleased with the car, was initialy looking for a Megane 275 (like you said, absolute track weapon, drove one, the LSD and chasis are a work of art), but outside the circuit, life with the Cupra is better and significantly cheaper to buy. Furthermore, personally I think that the EA113 sounds better than the F4RT inside the cabin and Seat did a better job on the gearlever feel than Renault. Pretty much stock, bought it with a resonator delete and a cold air intake (still recieved the original parts in a box). Maybe will look into LSD options, to make cornering a bit more precise, but again on B roads runs it is a really tidy setup. Where I live there aren't a lot of circuits soo I am not rushing. About the pedal situation, left hand drive cars don't have that problem. A bit of Hulks personality, really civilised in normal driving, a beast when you give it beans. I also feel like it punches more than 265 bhp. And lets not forget the sleeper-like look, without crazy bodykits (type R I am looking at you). Not a 10 seconds car, but still, people make funny faces. If you are in the market for a hot hatch, I consider it a really good value.

      Hi there, thanks for watching, and thanks for the comment. Sorry for the delay in getting back to you - I thought I had already replied. Yes, I agree with what you're saying, and interesting to hear the clutch pedal issue doesn't blight the LHD versions.
      Going back to the Megane 275, as well as not being quite as civilised on the road as the Cupra, it only comes as a three door, so not as practical and the entry in to the boot isn't the most practical either. Yes, these issues aren't the end of the world, but one of the joys of having a hot hatch is having practicality to go with the power. In some respects, the Megane is closer to a coupe than a hatch.

      @@CarObsession wasn't even going to talk about the boot entrance in the 275, or the fact that you aren't allowed to hook a roof rack for bikes on that body. My hobby is mountain biking, will look into roof rack options for the Cupra in spring.

    Great video! very helpfull for me. Next week ill get the the R model with 18' wheels (Much more bearable and comfortable).Im LHD I didn't notice a problem with the clutch pedal.

    The front bumper of prefacelift looks better than Cupra R. I have MY2011 Cupra but I like the exterior design of Prefacelift. It's original one from Walter De Silva. The plus is on Cupra R is the color speed blue. Looks amazing on facelift one!

    You did buy the wrong car buddy the cupra R is outstandly better better brakes better interior better tuneability if you want to make a comparison in the same thing a cupra is a gti golf and cupra r is a golf r and to top that in the 2 years of production the cupra R only produced 2000 Rs where as there where thousands of cupra models so which one do you feel will have the desirable resale value in the future.... I do feel after seeing this video you brought a car with a remap stage 1 on it and your tuner wouldn't know that and I feel your running a stage 2 in this video. I must say your love for your car is commendable and I love the fact your keeping the mk2 alive in the public eye which feel the mk 2 is the best looking ever Leon and with its massive success in the btcc championship keep up the good work👍

      I'm still very happy with my car Jason, and like I say, the clutch pedal on the R would probably be a deal-breaker for me.
      Also, the car was bone stock when I bought it 👍🏽.

    Your car would look miles better if it had a silver seat logo but still with the black surround, just like the curpa r grill 👍

    hello the only difference and the mapping between the two models and aesthetically either we prefer phase 1 or 2 but the 19 rims are too stiff the 18 and better and the tires are cheaper for me phase 1 is more aggressive

    not really the same engine, the cupra has bwj/bwa engine, the r has a cdla or cdl for short engine, the one in the audi s3, bwx engines are the ones from golf gti
