I really appreciate all of the detail you show as you build the rig. This is very helpful as I look at options for my R5 and potentially R5C in the future.
Do you have any experience in matching the R5C footage with other canon cinema cameras? we use the canon c70 and i was thinking of investing into r5c or even cheaper cams like the r6 as B cams with canon log3 and same color science.
I don’t have experience with this myself, but I’ve heard that the R7 is a good b cam for the c70, with the aps-c sensor being similar to super 35. R5C should match we’ll color-wise, too. It seems to be best to use clog 3 on all cameras, so don’t mix clog 2 and 3.
I have a C300 Mrk III and an R5C. They match fine with a little color correcting, be it C-LOG 2 and 3, or both at C-Log 3. Only pixel peepers will say otherwise.
Are you using a a follow focus system with the R5 C?
Minimal, elegant, what a rig

Great rig, thanks for all details, well done!
Helped a lot. Thanks
Very nice rig. I will try to make something similar. Thanks for sharing. Danke, für diesen Hinweis. 😊
Amazing
You ever think about using the smallrig manfrotto baseplate with the feet on it so the entire rig can be sat down evenly?
Good idea! However I wonder if those feet are long enough so that the rig will not tip to the front (especially if you take off the battery)

What are you doing about sound?
Depends. I can mount a shotgun mic, but I prefer having the mic externally because the focus motor is not 100% quiet.
@@johannesdoerr Thanks - that's good to know! Great build by the way and looking forward to seeing some of your footage soon!
