Sis in Christ, your channel is my FAVORITE!!! I love simplicity, intentional living, Jesus, clean eating, encouraging stay home mamas in their God given blessed role to nurture the next generation, the Bible, and minimal, meaningful living! Do you have a link for your cute necklace and slippers? Love them! Blessings to you! Keep encouraged-you’re shining brightly in this world for Him!! 💡🌎❤️💕🙏

PS- my favorite tip of yours was to “romanticize” the kitchen cleanup! Such a beautiful way to both serve the family and also renew your perspective on “dreaded kitchen cleanup.” The candle, music, low lights and worship perspective of serving Him and our family is SO helpful for me!! 🕯️ 🎶 🧼 I have a sign in our laundry room I wrote that says “thank you, Jesus, for laundry to do because it means we have warm clothes to wear.” It’s all about our attitude and perspective, right?! We can do all things for Him for His Glory!!! Hallelujah!!!
      🎉😀💕👏🌟

@@margaretmatheny aww, my joy!! It’s a privilege and blessing to be able to encourage the family of God! Thank you for the link for the slippers - - - looking everywhere for soft quiet-soled shoes as we have hard wood floors and all slippers seem to be lined with a hard plastic. Yours look exactly what I’ve been looking for and like the more you wear them the softer they’ll get! ❤ I had my last pair of wool leather slippers 6 years until they were soo worn I had to toss them but they stopped making them so glad to have your recc!

@@-living4jesus4ever- sis your messages have also really blessed me because they're so full of love and the light of Christ. You really shine for Him. May God repay you for your kindness and bless you. I love what you wrote about perspectives because it's so true. To count our blessings and have a heart of gratitude. I want to get better and better at this no matter what my lifes season is 💕

I have always made sure my kitchen was totally clean and ready for the next day (My parents had taught me this through example!). My one suggestion is to include your kids! No matter how little. My 3 year old can do the silverware, 6 year old clears the table, they both love to wipe things down etc. I would not save this for after they are asleep and it's my time to take a break. Then they learn that we all work together and they care more for their things and it is just a habit that we all help together, and throw on some fun music too! I see a lot of Mamas who take on all the housework themselves instead of including their little ones. It takes longer in the beginning but when they get a bit older you have all of these helpers who are happy to do it! It's worth the struggle in the beginning to teach them and good for them to learn to care for their spaces. I have my husband empty all our trash bins every night too so those are all fresh in the morning, he works late and that's his one job haha.

Hi Margaret! I love your videos, your calming voice and simplified living helps me motivate to declutter/organize my things and life. I’m a new mom and a lot of things to learn and adjust to my new role. Thank you for you’re all suggestions in this video, specially the part to expect failures and to put your kitchen to bed. Its true, it feels good to wake up in a clean kitchen/dining area.

Air outside is sometimes worse than inside... I recommend buying the cheapest air purifier for those who cannot afford anything fancy but live in a city. Cheap is fine too.
Mine was actually not that cheap for me around 130$ but it also cleans humidity which was a big problem for my plants in my house. I am shocked how bad air gets when you cook or open the window. Now I don't get terrible head aches. :)

I have a child who is pre-asthmatic who can also struggle this time of year. Yet we are big on outside time and opening windows. Ortho Molecular’s D Hist Jr has made THE difference for us these last few years! We went from using the nebulizer and steroids every cold/allergy attack to not having to use it in the last year and a half. We keep both the kid and adult version on hand.
May be worth checking out if you don’t have a similar supporting supplement already! Love your emphasis on lifestyle ❤️

I grew up with no shoes in the house and I am working on getting rid of chemicals and making my own cleaners. I try not to think about what I don’t want to have when it comes to food and I love fruit so that helps. I do have a question for you, how can I get my husband to eat better. (He does the grocery shopping). Today I sent him to the store for fruit and he came home with the fruit but he got donuts too.

What are your thoughts on opening windows in spring when a lot of pollen can come in/make seasonal allergies worse?
Would you ever leave a reply or do a video regarding your thoughts on seed oils, seed milks, etc being bad for women's hormones?
    Thanks Margaret! ❤️❤️

I have an asthmatic child and we have that issue for a few weeks every Spring. We do our best to keep them closed but also we try to get out a little bit for fresh air(but close to running water rather than a bunch of flowers). Seems to help!
I'm not an expert in that area, but I have listened to women who are well-researched in that area. Kori Malloy, Noelle Kovary, Matt Blackburn are all good resources to look into. Here's an article I've read and found very helpful: www.thegoldensecrets.com/blogs/the-golden-secrets-blog/what-you-need-to-know-about-pufas
