@@coloradoing9172 I ended up getting some hd 560s as I couldn’t make another order. I’ve since got rid of those though, but I do rate them very highly.
I bought elite valour for 58X, but I ordered 2 pairs to make up free shipping The sound is pretty close to stock earpads However, I have to shuffle among these 4 to make 100% matched pair (playing mono audio to make sure it's right on the center)
Our earpads are handmade and can experience some variance. Please feel free to fill out our webform at Dekoniaudio.com/returns so we may help you get a better matched pair.
I have the Elite Hybrid on my HD 660s. They really bring out the bass and solved a lot of comfort issues for me. I was not a fan of the stock 660s pads.
I use the Elite Velour and LOVE the effect it brings to the HD6X0 series - far closer to my personal preference - more bass with no distortion from EQ. If you're a bit sensitive to treble and don't like the bass roll off from stock HD6X0 series pads, maybe try them. They still sound like Sennheisers, just with a different "room" so to speak, as noted in the video. P.S. if you accidentally bend the screens, there are videos about how to pop them out (easy but watch a vid first) and you can bend them back no problem.
I'm using the elite valour on my HD6XX and it actually makes for a great tuning for gaming with how these handle bass. Also very very comfortable, but i've only had them for about a week.
On my second set of the Elite Velour for the HD6XX as of today. Sadly my first set basically disintegrated after a little less than a year (around 11 months) of daily driving. I do wear my HD6XX for a long time each day but I do hope the second set will last me longer than just about a year. Sound-wise they are great, durability-wise I hope I just got a bad batch or something the first time around, because 11 months is even worse than the stock pads.
I wish you could do more of these videos with other popular headphones. Cheaper ones maybe? Sennheiser hd560s has become a hit, i guess those would be good candidates.
@@DekoniAudio just an example. if you want to go with another brand, akg is also a good one, they have lots of popular/ classic/ old models and maybe people need pad swapping 😀. k701/702, 240, 712 pro, 612 pro, etc. all use the same pads.
I had the HD600s for a long time because everyone raved about them, I agree theyre pretty solid and excellent; however, I only broke them out for some vocal foward music because the pads were very uncomfortable for me, Not sure if its just my ear shape vs the cup shape or what, dont have the issue with my beyers or fostex. Now, an excellent headphone that you never really wear because of comfort is kinda worthless. I got the hybrid pads, and the comfort has shot through the roof, Ive been using them pretty regularly now. Sure, it slightly changes the FR, but, whatever, thats much better than the frequency response they have when theyre sitting in a box not getting used.
Hello I would like a recommendation.I have the HD 650 and im considering changing to the velour or the suede material.I narrowed it down to these 2 materials because I live in a moderately hot climate (especially now in the summer) and as it seems these 2 perform the best in this regard.Which one of the two would you recommend for someone that loves the stock sound signature but needs a little more sub bass added? which of these 2 is the most similar to the stock pads ? (i dont mind rolling off the highs at all as I am sensitive to those frequencies, which is the reason I bought this headphone in the first place). So I would like to buy the one that boosts the sub bass and affects the rest of the frequency response as little as possible.
Gentlemen! Where are measurements??? Different pads change the sound significantly and many times change for worst. Companies like Sennheiser are testing various density materials to get the perfect synergy with drivers and headphones construction.
I adore the Dekoni Blue+Dekoni Nuggets Comfort (and sound of course) and love the sound of my HD58X (comfort good as well) so thinking bout getting 6XX and putting Dekoni Pads+Nuggets on it one day
Interesting. What duc/amp/ op amps are you using? The color depends lot what you are using to power the headphones. So much difference in op amps/coding(24/32 bit)/buffer. HD600 needs little more low end pads could be a good option to get that and combination of op amps to suit for clarity and high end. For example The I/V-converter OPA1612 might do well, The Differential to Single-Ended OPA2227P and Op-Amp Voltage Buffer OPA2111. Each has their desirability and mix might be a good end result with sheepskin pads. These components are all swap-able and hit and miss. So I think depending what you are using for the headphones.
I do not like how *all of the options*, from what I saw in the website's graphs, "kill" the upper mids and treble. I see no use for bassy/less clear HD600s, but each to their own. I would honestly explore any of your pads that extended the highs, but all I see is better/higher bass frequencies at the cost of clarity and highs (to a higher or lesser extent depending on the pads version.) Not meant as hate-I just feel I am best served with the stock pads relative to the Dekoni options. Now I am talking about the HD6xx/etc. pads-perhaps for other headphones you may have options that improve on clarity rather than get in its way. Of course comfort is a personal thing, and some may love the recessed highs too. Please do not feel attacked-use whatever works for yourselves. 👍

HD600 is still my daily driver, so it's nice to see this comparison with all the different pads. Great video as always
I see u on reddit
Just got a set of hybrids for my HD600s. They fixed everything I didn’t like about my 600s. Awesome..!!
What didn’t you like? I’ve got some 600 on the way and I think I’ll love them, but I may crave a little more bass.

I have no idea why they don't come with the 600 pads, a bit thicker and so much more comfortable
Great video, would be interesting to have DMS pad roll the 8XX with your pads as he wasn’t a big fan of those headphones.
Great stuff. My personal favorites are the Elite Fenestrated Sheepskin and the new Earpadz Velour.

What i like was the Hybrid pads on HD 6 line.
Dekoni Audio web site is a mess, is hard to choose the products by model, or know the differences, amateur pictures too.
It is significantly better now in 2024. It’s easy to navigate, with drop down menus used to select make and model.
It’s still a mess
I agree that the elite velour makes the 600 almost like the 6xx
What pad would you recommend for the Hifiman Arya Stealth?

The New 2022 Sennheiser Pads , are bigger and last longer and all that with stock sound.
