Did you test stock pads on different headset to see if stock headsets sounded the same?

I’m looking for the most cooling/breathable option with minimal impact on sound. How do I choose between velour, fenestrated and hybrid? Have you actually captured any temperature readings with each of them? I have Hifiman Arya Stealth. So, I’m kinda thinking isolation isn’t as much of a worry with these very open backs. The stock pads aren’t actually as hot as previous over-ears I owned. I’m just wondering if I can get even lower temp/humidity with fenestrated or velour or even the hybrid. 🤯 My previous over-ears had velour and actually got really hot and humid during long listening sessions. I’ve never tried fenestrated. When I look at the hybrid, I think the heat and moisture have nowhere to go because the outer rims are solid. It looks like the sheepskins are the wrong way around. The solid sheepskin should be on the inside to prevent frequent leakage through the pad but then the heat and moisture from the head would pass through the velour and then fenestrated on the outside would allow that to vent.

It makes no sense to claim these products work well with the prescribed models listed, when they aren't the same dimensions or enclosed structure of the original ear muff. This changes driver distance from ear and completely alters bass frequency response, loudness and the intended performance of the headphones. Get the original manufacturer replacement instead, so you can continue to enjoy your headphones. The allure of Velour or memory foam, or sheep skin isn't worth the loss of performance.

Why didn't they just give their consumers pad removers to begin with: allowing me to clean my current pads without the need of buying an entire new set of pads 🤦

For anyone watching this in the future, I turned one cup upside down to move it out of the way while working on the other one. Starting with the cup that isn't in the folded position, I had success putting on the top first (without the seam) where it's more difficult to see. I needed to pull pretty tight while holding on to the top to stretch on one side, *then* I fit the bottom of the pad. Not letting go at any point, I'm pushing out from the inside to expose the edge of the pad to slide into the gap throughout this process. Hope this helps.

Nice Pads but they don't fit the MM100 because the driver sticks out 4mm and the Hole in the Pads are 10mm to small.

would the cobalt's be good for studio use?

How often should they be replaced? I'm just shy of having mine for a year and noticed a lot of things I normally couldn't hear when wearing them I can hear now. My pads seem kinda flat so I'm chalking it up to ear pads.

the 4th clip may as well be impossible to insert. I'm positive I will rip the pads before I apply enough pressure to get it in.

I just soldered back a wire to make the right ear work again, now getting new earpads. Yay! They will be like new once more.

If you are clever, you just remove and replace the ear pads one after another ;-)

If I don't use my headphones for a week or two they get stiff. RUclips is Bass heavy so I'll just play a few songs on RUclips and after about 10 or 15 minutes they seem to loosen up. Then I go back to Deezer and the bass is thumping like it should.

Those super thin planar magnetic drivers in those headphones were smashed in the end there! Geez😅 Nice ear pads though.

I got the elite velour pads for my DT770 but i feel the bass is noticeably reduced and the highs are way too pronounced. Can I fix it or should I return then? Because I absolutely love the comfort. The stock pads are way too narrow for me
