How much does it cost to live in Singapore? Check it out...
I travel the world investigating the costs of living in different places. I visit shops, gyms, offices, talk to local people to find out the expenses for an average person.

I’ll be moving to Singapore soon right now I’m saving up money. I’m so excited though my mom supports and my youngest sister. Even if I didn’t get support i still would’ve moved anyway. Because it’s my destiny not theirs . 🤩🤩🤩
same, as soon as possible!
This was the most helpful video I have watched about Singapore. Clear and to the point. Thanks 😊
I love to visit there, thank you... great job as usual ... excited for the next country
Thanks for the nice words!
Keep up the good work, Andrea! Have fun and safe travels!
Thanks man!
Thank you very much for the video. You really helped my school project!
Your videos are so interesting!
Very good video. Very appropriate material for those who are thinking about moving.Cheers
Thanks man!
I liked your analysis of the expenditures of Singapore. Really a helpful video. Accommodation in Singapore is quite expensive.
Well done Andrea, as usual!
l just came back from Singapore and l must say that the prices you showed for Grab, Coffee and Food are much less than what we experienced.
We had to take Grab two times cuz my mom couldn't walk for too long, a 5-10min ride would cost around 5 SGD but then would add extra around 10SGD for taxes etc so we ended up paying more than 14 dollars both times for a really short ride. Thats way too expensive even in London.
For a simple Espresso or Cappuccino we couldn't find any less than 6-7 dollars!!! The average price we would pay for two coffees would always be around 15dollars, and that was in most places even for take away. We didn't go to any fancy cafe. The only places that you can get a 2 dollar coffee are their own indonesian type of cafe with just black coffee with milk and sugar. If you know any cafe that has cappuccino for 2 SGD please let me know cuz we were desperate (we drink at least 2-3 coffees a day)
Don't expect to go to any decent looking restaurant and expect to pay less than 60 SGD for a simple meal. Everything costs way too much even a can of Tiger beer would be 7 SGD, a main dish at least around 20 SGD. The cheapest we got was in Chinatown 35SGD for two noodle dishes, dumplings and two drinks, and this was still expensive according to locals.
All in all, if you are visiting Singapore for a few days finding anything affordable will be challenging, as everything in central is overpriced and this is where you will mostly be as a visitor. Go prepared to spend a few hundred dollars in a couple of days for basic things like food and coffee.
We spent 150 SGD in two days.
Btw lve lived 5 years in London and 3 months in Tokyo, both being in the top 5 most expensive cities in the world. Nothing like Singapore. Singapore was NEXT LEVEL OF EXPENSIVE.
Renio wow
Renio this is why I’m always broke.
EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE HERE!
@@pineapplepen7304 the quality of life was from another world I must say tho, but if you are not in a high income position I really don't know how can someone afford to live there. I was looking into jobs there and the starting salary was like 1200 dollars.....no way can someone live off that
Beautifully explained
Thx
Dreamer who want to dream. Can experience a reality in this place. Enjoy the scenery.
Great content! Thanks for sharing
That tshirt..the clash london calling 👍
Should interview somebody who is older and more experience. You'll be surprise that most of the answers will be different and more sensible. Eg. If u were to ask where is the best place to stay ? Older generations would suggest near or inside a hdb area where everything is extremely convenient , wet market( which things are cheaper and fresher ), mrt stations are always nearby, coffeeshops with cheaper but more authentic foods are.....and more.
Yeah, the difficulty is finding someone who's willing to get interviewed
Yeah kid want to live in Orchard Road, one of the if not the most expensive area in SIngapore, to be near all the high end shopping malls LOL. There are malls all over Singapore and near almost every MRT station.
Extraordinary explanation
Interesting
I'm glad that it's helpful to someone.
I loved this video it was very informative and honest to the point of basic living in Singapore , thank you for posting this video .
6:00 with all the walking in Singapore, especially if using public transport, I can't imagine the average person needs a gym.
Yeah can't say you're wrong. Depends what kind of exercise we are talking about. Only cardio or mussles build up
Don't buy things from NTUC. Expensive. It is not fair price. Go to Sheng Siong
Great video. Is it possible to retire in Singapore?
can you please confirm what will be income tax for outsiders, for example if someone is getting 6000 $ per month what will be inhand salary after tax deduction ?
Got job?
make a video on RUSSIA living cost
You left us with a cliffhanger when you said be careful when you drink. May be that’s your next topic?🥴
Just don't drink & drive or do silly things to break the law in any big way & you'll be good for a great lifestyle . Minor infractions are mostly overlooked. Don't belief all the over-hyped paranoia about the strict laws, its not communism here. Light up a little .... :)
I love Singapore.
I pay $1300-$1500 per month for everything. I order food online , and I have an 880sq ft 2 bedrooms, pool, gym, and man made lake. Newton Hawkers Center for food.
That's expensive for others ,who to plans to travel there.
Which site did you find your accommodation?
How much we need to live in Singapore per month husband, wife and one kid
hey i was thinking about moving to Singapore and I wanted to find out the best areas to live
Был я там в 2015. Страна - сказка.
Ohh Noo..... Unfortunately Andrea, you've just interviewed a very young & inexperienced local (maybe just completed study) that's giving very little input to the actual cost of living & lifestyle experience in Singapore (big mistake ). Try someone in their 30's - 40's age for better perspectives. But very good & interesting way of analyzing living costs .
Ok thanks, I will keep it in mind for the next time!
Really helpful. Thanks for putting together. But $20 for a meal? Wow. That’s expensive. I am based in the states and our meals are usually around $8 to $10.
Singapore regularly tops the most expensive city to live in. What do you expect?
@@sambridhathapa4313 I guess i underestimated Asian food. Thought it was reasonable everywhere.
I know it's alot, but Singapore is a really expensive city... By the way thanks for commenting!
20 for a meal at the restaurant, hawker food cost around S$2:50-S$5
@@WTiDeadlyfury this is good to know. thanks a lot.
