I’ll be moving to Singapore soon right now I’m saving up money. I’m so excited though my mom supports and my youngest sister. Even if I didn’t get support i still would’ve moved anyway. Because it’s my destiny not theirs . 🤩🤩🤩

l just came back from Singapore and l must say that the prices you showed for Grab, Coffee and Food are much less than what we experienced.
We had to take Grab two times cuz my mom couldn't walk for too long, a 5-10min ride would cost around 5 SGD but then would add extra around 10SGD for taxes etc so we ended up paying more than 14 dollars both times for a really short ride. Thats way too expensive even in London.
For a simple Espresso or Cappuccino we couldn't find any less than 6-7 dollars!!! The average price we would pay for two coffees would always be around 15dollars, and that was in most places even for take away. We didn't go to any fancy cafe. The only places that you can get a 2 dollar coffee are their own indonesian type of cafe with just black coffee with milk and sugar. If you know any cafe that has cappuccino for 2 SGD please let me know cuz we were desperate (we drink at least 2-3 coffees a day)
Don't expect to go to any decent looking restaurant and expect to pay less than 60 SGD for a simple meal. Everything costs way too much even a can of Tiger beer would be 7 SGD, a main dish at least around 20 SGD. The cheapest we got was in Chinatown 35SGD for two noodle dishes, dumplings and two drinks, and this was still expensive according to locals.
All in all, if you are visiting Singapore for a few days finding anything affordable will be challenging, as everything in central is overpriced and this is where you will mostly be as a visitor. Go prepared to spend a few hundred dollars in a couple of days for basic things like food and coffee.
We spent 150 SGD in two days.

@@pineapplepen7304 the quality of life was from another world I must say tho, but if you are not in a high income position I really don't know how can someone afford to live there. I was looking into jobs there and the starting salary was like 1200 dollars.....no way can someone live off that

Should interview somebody who is older and more experience. You'll be surprise that most of the answers will be different and more sensible. Eg. If u were to ask where is the best place to stay ? Older generations would suggest near or inside a hdb area where everything is extremely convenient , wet market( which things are cheaper and fresher ), mrt stations are always nearby, coffeeshops with cheaper but more authentic foods are.....and more.

Just don't drink & drive or do silly things to break the law in any big way & you'll be good for a great lifestyle . Minor infractions are mostly overlooked. Don't belief all the over-hyped paranoia about the strict laws, its not communism here. Light up a little .... :)

Ohh Noo..... Unfortunately Andrea, you've just interviewed a very young & inexperienced local (maybe just completed study) that's giving very little input to the actual cost of living & lifestyle experience in Singapore (big mistake ). Try someone in their 30's - 40's age for better perspectives. But very good & interesting way of analyzing living costs .
